So woodcutters are basically a one-shot-ranged unit wit the health of crossbowman with no range and the attackforce of a pikeman

Woodcutter is a chad. Look at his six packs and a huge axe, he could defeat an army if you motivate him enough.

Hey Jeff. Can you do a challenge where you have to kill an enemy lord with woodcutters? You can clear out their castle with units but the lord has to be chopped to death

It's possible to kill Snake in mission "snake eyes" using glitch which allows you to control woodcutters if you first destroy walls (glitch is only possible in stronghold but not stronghold: crusader)

​@@anonimanonimowy903 can you explain what is the glitch? btw i have done it without exploiting any kind of glitches;You just gotta beat the king to the verge of death,and than,when archers hit him,he'll come down anf he will face the woodmen

1:00:I mean who would u rather have:A crossbowman in leather armor and a knife on foot,or a horse archer with a sword on... Well...A horse lol(yes I think horse archers use swords because I don't think they could attack their opponents otherwise with a freaking dagger lol.) Also its probably because the horse archer's health is both the horse's health AND the health of the guy ON the horse.Also horses can headbutt lol

I wonder if Woodcutter gets effected by fear factor attack buff/debuff, like other units? If you put him up against a spearman, you could check if he dies at around same time, while taking similar damage.

as far as I remember, fear factor in fact affect workers' damage.

It often happened to me while attacking an enemy lord their woodcutter would often destroy my catapult or balista while i wasn't looking

Its because of this that I now always have some ranged units near catapults to pick them off, once I lost 7 trebuchets to a single woodcutter because I wasn't paying attention and that made me feel stupid lol.

Legend tells that you need to do a woodcutter only mission to summon Noobtato

I wanna see a lion, wolf, and bear vs woodcutter in da bonus. D:

slingers, horse archers, spearmen, pikemen, woodcutters, and hunters all have 20 damage per tick. Within those, horse archers, spearmen, woodcutters and hunters all have same HP so they can beat one another based on which one hits first. euro, arab archers and xbowmen all have 10 damage per tick, so they need more than 2x HP of woodcutter to beat him in melee, which they don't have. Highest HP ranged unit is crossbowmen, and thats 1.5x HP of a woodcutter

Did you try giving the wood cutter side good fear factor? They do influence worker combat ability as well.

Strange...I remember something from the stronghold wiki saying the woodcutters wins in a 1 vs 1 against spearmen...unless de devs changed that in crusader.

When swordmen were coming he aim to winners line because he hope the swordmen will win.

Maybe Pikemen are former Woodcutters who got promoted?

Do hunters ever shoot at enemies? I can't remember. I have a feeling they did it in Stronghold 1.

Woodcutters, tunnelers, and spearmen seem to all have the same combat ability, which both shows how trash spearmen are and how surprisingly competent the others are.
