Ya know every time I get back from shooting one of my Mosin's and if I used some spam can ammo I pull out the rifle from the stock and look what markings I can find, lol. Always look up your channel to see what the markings mean.... smh. I picked up another 1928 Izzy with a excellent bore, matching bolt and bayo.. think I'm going to put a S&K rear Pic. rail and put on a pistol scope to see if I can hit 🎯 a steel target at 300yds. After working on M1's, these Moisin rifles are really crude and poorley finished,but fun as hell to shoot,cheap ammo,and alot of history.Wonder how many Nazi's mine killed and where it could have been used during the war?During war time,the need for large qauntities,always makes mods to simplfying production.

I've got a spare Mosin magazine hiding in a box of tetanus. I'll have to see if I can tell what it is.

Arisaka's are superior built simple and easy to work on,just wish that ammo was readily available like the Moisin.
