Thank you so much for mentioning iPad Pro 11 for sheetmusic as well. Been battling between 12.9 + pencil and 11 + pencil..

Thanks for the video. It would helpful to see how it actually works as in how you set it up on your stand and what it looks like when you mark up your music on the screen.

Thank you for posting all the videos on the tablet usage for music. I am curious, in your opinion, how much memory would be necessary for a "gigging" musician? Thanks!

Sweet video! I got a 1st generation iPad and the only apps are IMSLP and my metronome 😂. I’m totally paperless and I can just email my music to my students and organize everything for myself. The only things I take with me to gigs now is my iPad and foot operated page turner

Thank you for the information. I still did not understand the disadvantages of the music sheet, compared to the forscore? And what are the disadvantages of the pen of the S8 compared to the iPad? And how does this affect the actual writing facing each other? Thanks :)

Hi there. I have used the Samsung Tab S6 for two years and I loved. Mobile Sheets works really well. But a couple months ago I decided to go with IPad Pro 11” M1 because I am also studying music production, and so the apps are better with de iOS system and also because I use a MacBook for studying it. I still own the Tab S6 (didn’t sell it yet) and I still love it because I prefer the ecosystem with Samsung smartphone.

@@ElizabethKnaub 10,5, that's why I got the 11" Ipad. I thought the 12.9" was too big, of course it's more comfortable for reading sheets, but I prefer the portability. 😊

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for the excellant videos. They are packed with useful information instead of fluff. I have 79 year old eyes, so I will need the larger screen. I have a large amount of sheet music collections in I guess you would call book form. When I try to copy a selection on a flat bed copier the book will not open to fully flat and the pages are larger than 8.5" X 11", so I get dark smudges on the edges. With out tearing the books apart, what is a better way to copy/scan the selections into a pdf. file? I noticed in one of your other videos that you used your phone to scan the page. Is that the best way to scan music in volume? Al (.,.)

Hello Al! My 25-year-old eyes not only need a big screen, but good contrast and a special e-ink screen, and that is the reason I also recommend checking out Onyx Boox Lumi 2, which I've been using myself for 3 years now (earlier max2pro model without backlight). I know that many of my peers cannot stand the speed and limited (in comparison with iPad for example) functionality, but it's truly the device I love and have my score library on. It has been a digital paper for me, and more means less in this category. If you need a multi-tasking device - the video above covers everything. For scanning, I use a CZUR book scanner (I don't remember the exact model, for me,they're all the same). It looks like a desk lamp, but, it has a small lens next to the lightbulb. You put dark material on your desk, connect the scanner to the PC or laptop, and through the special program (easy to operate) you can create long pdf files and scan books in minutes. I like it for an old score that I have some notes on and books that don't have a digital version. It's very convenient, but the quality isn't any better than a phone, or even a little worse, but for any high-contrast document is definitely sufficient. What I like about Lumi 2 is that I can crop the document, and change contrast and boldness in a few clicks, which forgives any errors during the process of scanning. I don't know how you'd like the process on a different device. Of course, if you don't have many things to scan, a phone with an app like Office Lens would be sufficient. Hope it helps, have a nice day! EDIT: oh and you have to be careful about the size of your documents, pay attention before buying a scanner if it's big enough!

Hey Elizabeth, I have a Galaxy Tab A7 lite, will this be good enough to use on stage? I have been using just a regular binder notebook, that's got all my music in it. And that gets Heavy after a while, LOL. Anything back on this would be appreciated.

I'm thinking about iPad pro 2017 12.9 inch used device and Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 that has 11-inch screen. I don't like file management on IOS since I have so many files on my computer that I can just transfer directly to Android device. You think 11 inch is good enough for reading music sheet for piano?

Don't buy the iPAD pro 2nd generation 12.9, there's a factory defect in it, I do have one and I am suffering because of it, better purchase the 3rd generation if you are planning

No, your music is stored locally. Actually, it's better not to have a WiFi connection so you won't have notifications popping up mid concert!
