Thank you, Angie, for helping me make a choice. I was going to head to Walmart today and purchase a convection oven, but after watching your video I used your link and pushed the button on a PYD Life oven. Give me the ease of digital and the security in knowing the oven is doing what it is intended to do. Now I just have to wait for the delivery!

Can you do a review for the dog bowl compatible with the PYD oven. That is one reason why I want it. I can’t find any videos with tutorials about it. What shrink wrap would I use for the dog bowl and what brand. Thank you.

PYD Life actually has a shrink wrap sized just for the dog bowl.

Hello Angie thank you for you videos. I have a few questions. I bought a Gourmia airfryer/ toaster oven hoping to use it for sublimation. I just plugged it in tonight to test the temp. I st it for 375 on airfry mode with an oven thermometer in there but when it beeped the thermometer was reading 350. And it continued to heat up it looked like it got up to 400 without me opening. What would you suggest. Can I still use it for sublimation and also do I need to use any of the equipment that goes inside the oven? Thx

I think you could still use it. Maybe just play with times/ temps. Depending on the rack, you may find you get hot/cold spots and a pad will help that.

Finally someone that answers the question. Why buy a sublimation oven. Thank you... May I ask... Do we have to turn tumblers and blanks in the pyd life oven?

I generally do just to be on the safe side. Sublimation blanks are just so expensive!

I bought the PYD oven and am now waiting for my Epson F170 sublimation oven to arrive. My craft room is over our 3 car garage, so it is up one level from our main living area. My windows do not open in my craft room. So am I going to have to put my oven in the garage? Or can I use it in the craft room?

I use painters tape instead of shrink wrap. I’ve never had any luck with shrink wrap and would have to buy multiple different sizes. Would you be interested in doing a video to show the difference between using shrink wrap vs painters tape?

I am NOT a fan of taping the tumblers.

Angie could you please do if you haven't already a video on how to measure in design design space or Inkscape designs for tapered coffee tumblers . I have just started venturing Into mugs and tumblers sublimation and I just cannot get it right the tapered ones . I'm coming close but when it comes to wrapping the tapered coffee tumblers it's not distorted and twisted and not joining . Please help your biggest fan 🙏🙏

Are you able to just stand the sub blanks up or upside down to prevent the rolling of the blanks and maybe minimize or eliminate the need to turn? Or would you still have to turn halfway regardless??

You would have to turn half way regardless. And with the shrink wrap buckled on the bottom, they just don't stand well.

Maybe if you can find shrink wrap small enough? I don't use my oven for anything flat.

How do you get the temperature to go up by one degree? I can only get it to go up in 5 degrees at a time. Not able to set it to 356 degrees. I have the PYD oven.

I would just set to 355. It is not going to make a difference.

It does not really get hot enough to do that. I have actually tried to see if I could sublimate with a heat gun and it was a huge failure.

It is the same as a convection oven so the same thoughts would apply.

I have a confection oven that has different cook mode selections such as bake, broil, air fry etc. Does it matter which setting you use when sublimating?

Probably not in an oven like this as you have nothing to apply the pressure. They make heat press attachments for them or a vacuum heat press.

I have had shrink wrap melt and stick but that is the fault of the shrink wrap not the pad. It should not melt.

I use shrink wrap in my mug press when making tumblers. I wrap the shrink wrapped tumbler with butcher paper to keep the shrink wrap from leaving residue in the mug press. I also cut a small circle shaped piece of butcher paper to place on the bottom of the press where the tumbler sits

How do I adjust the temperatures on the pyd life oven on top and bottom of the oven to be the same exact and in 1 intervals please and thank you in advance

Just make it 355. One degree does not matter.

Shrink wrap provides the pressure needed as you don't have any when using an oven. So, no you would not use butcher paper in this case.

I did my first vessel in the PYD LIfe oven. The shrink wrap melted to the cup. What did I do wrong?

More than likely it is the brand of shrink wrap you are using.

On my second try I added one layer of butcher paper larger than the cup and set a lower temp and time and the second one turned out perfect. The first shrink wrap was from Amazon and the second came with my oven. Thanks for your response.

I get mine from a person on facebook ships in 4 days and it’s $4.4 a piece but you have to buy in bulk

Do you think that a person should get the warranty for the oven? How long have you had yours?

Depends on the size of your oven and the size of what you are sublimating. I also do not like them to touch.

I’m sad I still don’t know which to choose I want the easy but my budget says no but I don’t want to keep losing tumblers either

Yep! I would start with what I used for the tumblers here. It will require some trial and error. I never do mugs in mine as I have a mug and tumbler press.
