Texas , why? because i go where the money is as simple as that , Florida sure i can travel twice maybe three times a year and that’s all i need , money wise quality of living infrastructure you can find that in Texas , Florida too congested too many issues with infrastructure , nope i don’t need that , i have lived in Miami and Central Florida, Orlando and in Seminole County Fl. but it’s not getting any better , the only plus in Central Florida somehow is that property tax is not as high as North Texas ( Dallas County and Tarrant County) Which is Fort Worth and surrounding cities, but even despite the high taxes bottom line you see and enjoy all the services provided to you such as education , police , fire , parks and road conditions, that’s in Texas or at least where i used to live in North Texas, Central Florida from wages to renting is not that affordable is mostly Mickey Mouse and that’s not enough, and lately Central Florida is one of the most expensive places to rent if you can’t afford a house and if you own get ready for the HOA’s and that’s a lot of money out of your pocket every month , Job’s wise i do believe you can land a more secure job in Texas than in Florida , Texas may not be that appealing to the eye because is mostly dry ( except Houston ) as humid as Florida 🤣 but like i mentioned at the beginning i do go where the money is and to the place where i feel financially safe and sound, and that is Texas , My humble opinion!! 😉

I always wanted to move to Florida when I was younger because of what I saw on tv. Finally moved and yes Florida is very beautiful with lots of beaches and beautiful state parks but it didn't feel like home to me I was getting bored of Florida. Texas on the other hand has pretty much the same thing plus more with how big it is and closer to the other states I love visiting (Arizona and Colorado). Texas is superior over Florida, however Florida has Texas beat as far as beaches and vacation spots go. I don’t want to have to deal with pythons 🐍 and alligators 🐊 plus the humidity there is worse than Houston. Plus they get hit with way to many hurricanes 🌀 way more than Texas does. Overall I like both but I’m bias for Texas. Texas has 🏖, big cities 🌃 mountain 🏔 areas, desert 🏜 areas and prairies, vs Florida only have beaches and flat swampy areas. You also get way more bang for your buck in Texas. Miami is awesome though. As far as crime, Houston homicide rate is definitely way up; it’s definitely a high crime area; not sure about San Antonio and Dallas but I know for sure Houston crime rate is pretty high. Fort Worth is also kind of dangerous; that city has a gang problem.

It is annoying but I think in all honesty, ever since this karen thing has been noticed they have calmed down a little haha!! 😂 I don't really see that one woman getting hostile towards the cashier anymore 🤣 Anyways, the crime rate here is not terrible at all. In Central tx surrounding areas, it's pretty quiet for the most part. Aka boring. So of anyone is thinking of moving to tx from the beach states, just know it not in tx. Texas all the way . Why ? We do have very nice beaches, not tropical, however Padre Island is pretty awesome, we also have the hill country, plenty of beautiful crystal clear water lakes and rivers , mountains in West Texas, Big Bend national park, Guadalupe Mountains , desert ,swamp , 2nd largest canyon, 4 major cities, an economy not relying on tourism. The list is long. Texas isn't Florida vice versa . Florida to me is more like going on a beach vacation if I want to see more different palm trees and turquoise ocean water but that's it pretty much . It's all flat from the north to the south there isn't much of a difference in landscape but I still love Florida. The bummer to me is the economy, wages and cost of living and that's where I find myself in reality. Life isn't all about beaches It's about making a living without living pay check to pay check and feel the struggle because of ridiculous low wages, HOA and housing prices. Florida is becoming a place for the upper class and rich.

Florida and cali are just alike. Both are expensive. Homelessness out in cali is unreal. Its like 12 rvs parked right across the street from where i live. I dont even think florida is that bad. But the only thing about cali that i hear is that homless people out here live good because they take good care of them.

@hmob I'm from fl and been out in cali for 2 years now and I don't blame you I love the weather but other than that people out here are miserable because it's so hard to survive in cali people in fl are 10 times nicer.

From the 239 to DFW…. FLORIDA IS BETTER. Texas has trash weather that ruins the whole place for months at a time.
