My friend was struck and killed by a speeding vehicle at night. He was walking with his back to traffic. Even though he was off the road on the grass, he still got hit. I am pretty sure he'd still be alive today if he was just on the other side of the road. There's a multitude of things to blame for his death; The driver was speeding and intoxicated, the road didn't have sidewalks even though lots of people have to walk down it to get into town, etc. But I think him walking with traffic facing him could have saved his life. :(

Dude how are you answering all of the best questions! My dad always told me it was to see drunk drivers and get the heck out of the way! Also the editing in the videos, in particular the back and forth between you and yourself really works! I'd love to see more of that in future videos, maybe even voicing characters if you've got that in ya! Keep it up man, these are super awesome videos!

Wow, I was just randomly thinking about this a day ago while driving. Was recalling “walk against traffic” phrase and wondering if it was still a thing. The creative way each video is planned out, framed and composited and the fun way it’s told make it so enjoyable and interesting. Absolutely love this channel.

I don't know why, but at the end I expected to see a fade out to Wylie E. Coyote getting mowed down by the Roadrunner "beep beep" because he didn't look both ways crossing the street 😂😂

The walk against traffic. Sounds like a good cause to get behind, or in front of; which ever is safer of course.

I had this pretty well drilled into me as a kid, but it never occurred to me there'd been a whole campaign to get to that point.

Did you time your responses by listening to your voice-over recording with earbuds hidden under your hat or did you edit your timing in post to match up with the voice-over recording? Either way you timed it perfectly.

Cool to see a video on this! I've always wondered about which side to walk on, I was always told against but you see so many people walking with traffic I kinda doubted myself. I would have never thought it started as a campaign in the 1930s!

....what?! I don't walk on many roads without paths, but, my whole life (39) I've walked with traffic. Maybe it's an Irish thing.

Yeah until you get to an intersection. I swear people just look for oncoming traffic and then send it. Never even glancing at the sidewalk or shoulder for pedestrians or bicycles. There's a reason several states have just banned turning right on red all together.

True chads walk in the middle of the road between the double yellow lines because everyone knows it is illegal (impossible) for cars to cross those, thus making it the safest place to walk.

Ever since I remember you faced traffic so you can see what's coming somehow theses days it's changed. Here in the city of Toronto I get honked at for riding in the bike lane going against traffic. Maybe I'm just getting older

Only on foot! A bicycle is part of the vehicle traffic and goes the same direction as cars. I don't know how it works in Canada but you might even get a moving violation on your driver's license for that. I hope you're only joking!
