You should have had a contingency for the balloon zombies. Like maybe have the back row be cactuses or something, because the video is far less interesting when 90% of plants can't even survive past 4-5 flags because of balloon zombies. Same deal with miner zombies, most plants just lost when they show up, causing luck to be a factor in more ways than one.

Wouldn't Blover work for that scenario? Just make it have no cooldown and that removes the balloon zombies. Sadly no idea how to deal with miner zombies without weakening other zombies though.

Could Tall-nuts survive Day 1 by delaying the zombies until all of the zombies have spawned so the lawn mowers can take them out? I’m guessing not, but unless there’s a rule that the final wave is delayed until at least some zombies are defeated, it’s probably worth checking.

Yeah it should be entirely possible. Waves progress based on to H.P.% left. If it never reaches this threshold, the game proceeds to the next wave anyway. There is also a longer delay between huge waves but that shouldn't make too much of a difference. The main thing that might prevent this is multiple zombies stacking up and killing the tallnuts/wallnuts/pumpkins very quickly.

You definitely should repeat this experiment with balloon boys and diggers baned. I know how to ban a zombie from the adventure mod, so there should be a simular chance in the survival.

15:10 the miner zombie was like "yea guys i cleared up these cabbages alright bye" then he gets run over by the lawnmower ...

You really should have done this with a wall and tall nut, they have the potential to stall zombies long enough for the mowers to take out the entire wave, allowing them to beat day 1

It's no surprise that cattails have held up the longest. Because they are the only plants that can attack both balloon zombies and miner zombies. But their spike is wasted. Wasted spikes make them fail :(

Honestly the Tallnuts would be able to hold back quite a lot, until you hit Balloon, Ladder, and the Zombini zombies. Those are the only real threats... though I don't remember if Balloon Zombies can fly over the Tallnuts. Since the day can end before all the zombies are off the screen, you can pass multiple flags before dying

hey matt, idk if your gonna do any more pvz hacked episodes, but one idea i’ve had is going to level 5-5 (or bungee blitz) and filling the lawn with umbrella leaves. since zombies only spawn via bungee in that level could you beat it with just umbrella leaf. love the vids btw ❤

Couple ideas, see if you can find a mod that lets you disable flying zombies and zombies that attack from behind just so we can see how they do with an even playing field. Also give the pea shooters and repeaters the very end column as a fire log thing to see how giving them double damage would end up, that could be interesting

You should’ve made it so each of the same waves had the same assortment of zombies, like Flag 5-6 always having Balloon Zombies or Flag 7-8 always having Zombonies.

the walnuts and tallnuts do have the potential to survive at least 1 day because they'd delay the zombies so much that all the zombies that would spawn in that level would have already spawned by the time they reached the lawnmowers of course i havent gone through and tested it myself, but it would have been nice to see it in the video

This was pretty worthless with the baloon zombies. Should've either modded them out or had a row to deal with them. It's not interesting, we already know what plants can't deal with them.

if you did winter melon and blover they shouldn't lose because for some reason the launchers would hit the digger zombies

You should merged cattails threepeaters and torchwoods together and rerun this test. Mutate the plants!

Speacialty zombies with almost no counters should obviously be allowed to be countered so it's not boring
