Great video again :) Glad that I had the opportunity to learn english to find this awesome content. Fun fact, as I'm brazilian, it's funny to me that you used a can for the jackfruit, in here we can find a jackfruit tree on the street so the cost will be closed to zero considering the sauces and because jackfruit is so big, you can make a lot of pulled pork. Someone has even made a website so people can report where some jackfruit trees are locale so it can find easily

Yeah, jackfruit is pretty miraculous. I’ve been making pulled pork with it for my family for several years. I sauté it with the seasonings and vegetable stock until most of the liquid is gone and then I slowly dehydrate it in the oven to give it the texture. It also makes great ribs added to seitan@!

I recently discovered using carrots for BBQ and strongly recommend you do the same. Just julienne the carrots, char them on a griddle, and cook until tender with a dry rub and some sauce. I recommend using soy or liquid aminos early on when sauteing and some msg with the dry rub. These turn out great every time and a are a real crowd pleaser. I like mine with a runny egg and sweet goat cheese on top.

Absolutely love this video. I have a few ideas! First, it would be awesome if you could show how easy it is to grow your own blue oyster mushrooms--they don't need much sunlight and once you get the substrate it almost maintains itself. Also, the less packaging in the planet the better! Second, I like smoking them low and slow or adding liquid smoke! Third, I like using White BBQ Sauce sometimes: ¾ cup vegan mayonnaise 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 2 teaspoons sugar ½ teaspoon prepared horseradish ½ teaspoon table salt ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

After some misadventures in the past with pre-make jackfruit "meat" products (yuck!) I started using canned jack for a variety of purposes and I am very, very impressed! Excellent for tuna, fish filets, pork, and chicken salad variations. The flake and texture cannot be compared to even my beloved mushroom variants. I am actually interested in seeing if they can be "ground" for a beef patty for a potential burger. I would think those baked king oyster strands would do for a decent carne asada?

I tried Jackfruit last week, and it was amazing, so I went back to the Asian Market yesterday and bought different cans of Jackfruit to see which brand was the best,...well NONE of them have the SEEDS in it. So instead of having something like a pulled pork bbq sandwich, it was more like a super sweet pineapple pizza 😢 ~ Just because a jar of apple sauce has picture of an apple on the label, but we Know that there's not a whole apple inside...but not so with Jackfruit, so be carefully when you go to buy to just get the seeds that look identical to pulled more and not so darn sweet.

I think you're better off microwaving than doing them in the oven. You're basically trying to dry them out, and microwaves have the unique ability to directly find water and turn it into steam. SO much faster and more efficient. If you really want to brown it a bit, try grilling it after microwaving.
