I think that question can only be appropriately answered if you understand the changes you will see out of the offense this season. This is going to be a RUN FIRST offense that employs tons of motion and misdirection which is designed to punish a defense when it over commits to stopping the run. This means that it is BEST if you have a willing runner at the QB position. Everyone is so worried about Howards passing which shows you don't understand what Kelly is doing philosophically. The scheme and how you call a game has a major impact on how effective your attack can be. You want to put your offense in the best spot to move the chains. Motion and constrainment principles which employs a TON of misdirection is designed to force the defense to THINK and then react. That delay can be used to GREAT effect and if they can get the defense to have a lapse in discipline, you can rack up points quickly. Couple that with a smothering defense and you can put the opponent in a situation that can quickly start to snowball on them and the game is over by half time. It is crystal clear that Howards legs will play a MAJOR role in the offense. I would anticipate he will likely run it about 10 times a game? You will likely see that number go up in big games.
