I just finished Final Fantasy XIII-2 last month so a little late but nice to have this list all the same.

I remember using Dragoon just because I like the name and being suprise at just how much damage it could dish out.

cait sith was hands down the best monster. it's a cute lil cat who heals. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT

Final fantasy really needs an actual monster catching Genre game. We got 13-2, revenant wings, WOFF, which are all people and you can also have monsters. I want something like the dragon quest joker/monster series.

Commando Lightning has unmoveable max and uncapped damage, making her extremely powerful. Can't be interrupted and can breaks the damage limit with a stagger of over 600%

Love this trilogy. Recommend it to anyone who still haven't played it

Goblin Chieftain is my favorite monster. Staple in my playthrus.

when it comes to the main characters roles it's a little bit tricky. Serah and Noel get 1 passive over the other that places them higher and yet at the same time you have to deal with the AI. This is coupled with speed of attacks which are sometimes way more important. Commando- each are faster in their other alignment (phys Serah, mag Noel). AI Serah will waste time switching from physical and magical. Noel clutches random encounters with getting an ATB on kill. past that physical attack characters get stunned too much without vigilance, and magic helps without needing to run to them. Physical does have the benefit of their ending animation back step to dodge. Ravenger- Serah tops it with her passive for chains. Sentinel- Serah has a better guard for multi hits and less hp while Noel has endure (1hp save) for bigger hits. make sure to separate them so you don't get cleaved. Medic-Noel has access to cura which makes him better. Serah is a better single target healer for her speed and higher magic but only when you need to heal 1 person, hopefully the 1 person taking the hits. Sab/Syn- Serah a better sab while Noel a Syn due to passives. Though since the better also have multi-target they will screw you over wasting their ATB on it. It's nice knowing that both of them have their pros and cons past just being better overall in 1 role. you'll still want to be both be in a role for the bonuses and use them for spacing.

great video, ffxiii-2 was one of my favorite games of that generation. It would be great if you also did it with SMT 3

SMTs are going to be very hard due to just how many demons are available but I can do some digging!

Even to this day, it's sad how FF13 series doesn't get much spotlight or appreciation to have itself ported over to newer consoles. Almost every other FF game has had ports, with the exception being FF15, 16 and barely scratching it with the few remakes of the FF7 stuff.

I'm not sure about some of the god tier but its likely based on Serah Noel just outshining those monsters. I really hated being capped at 3 mons because I think they did keep the role bonuses so being able to max on all 6 role bonuses at any time would be awesome. I just do not believe Goblin Chieftan is weaker than that machine. It is objective best SEN

When it came to 13-2 i was more of a Behemoth kinda person and I didn't use the fusion that much. When it comes to Monsters for going through the game, Serah and Noel more and more start becoming supports. For early game grab a dancer for feral link buffs, a way to deshell or deprotect and a ravenger, buffs and debuffs are way too good. that will last until Chichu who can sweep the rest of the game, but using him is a bit boring and stiff. Just make sure to fuse abilities to your favorites, it goes a long way.

Thank you for the tier list, I’m definitely using it for 13-2. However, Noel’s mispronunciation has cause many drinks. Cheers mate!

@@locloudanerpg Any honestly. Cause that series has such a wide & diverse amount of playable characters, stats, & skills. There is just so much mileage you could get out of that series.

I never use a sabator monster just because Serah has 4 of the most important spells this class has.

Are you playing this on PC with ReShade? The colors look very heavily saturated.

Also same with B Chocobo over Cloudburst. That cannot be right

I have been one to talk about how bad certain lists are but Im not doing it to be a dick. Im doing it for 2 reasons: 1. Because I want to help people who are watching it who I feel could benefit from my opinion and 2. Because I am very open to being proven wrong. Someone recently schooled me in the comments on a video about my favorite game and I am now stronger as a result.

Oh, I'm not against criticism. I'm just against leaving a comment like "Worst list ever" which is neither criticism nor is it helpful. That's all. Please, disagree with me here. These lists are meant to get the conversation going. The last time i played Final Fantasy XII I referenced a comment of someone who said I was wrong and applied what they said in that playthrough haha.

@@locloudanerpg Oh really? I didn't know since there were no DLC for purchase on steam. So "DLC" content for the PS is already included for the base game on steam? Not very far in I guess but i stopped playing for awhile since I have issues with performance. I'm was at the place where you can do brain blast quizzes im looking up answers to get the decorations on all terminals when i stopped. Thanks for the reply.
