You forgot that the original fantasea monofin also goes with the original fantasea skins which are $99, so you can get even cheaper than the $414.95 you mentioned!

There are also Fantasea tail slings that are $69.95. I’m not sure if they fit the Fantasea fin three but I know they fit the original and the Fantasea fin too.

This definitely makes me want to save up for a Fantasea fin! It may be awhile and this would be quite the change from my finfun amp but I love the potential for a ~creature~ look with fin Too!

I'd say also consider shipping costs and tax and importation costs if your not in the USA. I'm from new Zealand and shipping cost me $300 nz and I'm also looking at spending $200 nz in importation taxes. So my order in total cost me $1500 in new Zealand currency.

The FF2 is my favorite out of the three. I really like dramatic mono fins and that very sort of intimating look. I have it paired with the sanke koi skin and I absolutely love it

Awesome information! I liked the speed test :) I think I prefer the shape of the three the most. I wonder if Eric would consider making another smaller monofin like the one but with the shape of the three (if that makes sense, like a more streamlined fluke shape).

I have the FF3 tail, and for those wondering it is my first monofin and I adapted so fast to it! I tried to weigh it and it weighs about 20 ibs. I'm moderately athletic and 5'6, 8.5/9 size foot. If this works for you all I highly recommend this type it's so amazing and you'll get used to it fast~!

I think every fin is different and the size, shape, and material are all different factors that will result in different speeds. If that makes sense haha 💕 thanks for the comment! 😊

They all look fantastic fintastic :) i suppose them getting bigger and heavier with foot size is like choosing the right sized ten pin bowling ball. What a pity there aren't bespoke options though for specific foot sizes/shapes though. I'd have thought carrying something pretty heavy not with your hands even if underwater would be totally about measurement provision. I realise why ur in great shape as it must really work the abs and core - underwater foot weight lifting! Hope you are safe and ok

Thank you for this video, it helped me finally decide what to get. Now to just pick a skin. I'm going to get #1, with a side note that I'd like to try #3 *someday*. However I have small feet right between child size and small, and I want a really comfortable fit. I also want a dark blue tail, so I probably will get Violet Abyss for now.

FF2 is my favorite because it looks spiky and less girly than the others plus my feet would fit in the FF2 best Edit: honestly I thought they would be more expensive than they are

I have the fin number one, but I haven't tried it yet, because I haven't found a good time and place for it. The mertailor is a great company, although expensive! :) I hope to swim with my tail soon.

Ive been watching this vid alot its SO helpful so ty! ^^😂 im getting the fantasea fin 2 and the skin to go with it called underwater pheonix 😂 this will be my first from mertailor but def not the last! Im also getting a purple tail sling! And ideas or suggestions, let me know!

I do like the original but I’m obsessed with the 3 it’s just so pretty

I would rather save up for a silicone tail. That’s sooo much money for a fabric tail. They’re so beautiful though!

I am so glad the prices have gone down I am struggling so hard on picking a pattern I’m getting the smallest one to start off with but I just can’t make a decision help

You can buy skins for the fantasea 1 at $99.95 cents if you get the ones listed under fantasea tails. They have no extra fins and are sold separately from the monofin. This price is about the same as buying a Guppy skin without the Linden. Also I just recently got me a fantasea original and I move as fast in it as I do in my Finis Luna. Depends on your kick technique and strength really. Speed wasn't so much the selling point for me by the time I got around to purchasing one of these bad boys. For me I kept hearing how comfortable it was AND how easily one could glide through tricks in it. And I LOVE doing tricks. Also I feel like ppl who assume bigger fantasea fins are faster than the smaller ones are comparing based off how solid fins work, which doesn't account for the drag that floppier fins can have. I think the shape also factors into this, the 3 is more aerodynamic vs the two is very odd shaped, its gorgeous but not necessarily what will cut through the water the smoothest.

I watched this a decided on the fantasea 1a few days ago. Today I bought the fantasea 3 and my first tail. :covers eyes: I am SO excited though. I've just been using a finish wave so it will be quite an adjustment.

Dang, pricing has changed a lot over the last few years. Just paid a whopping 1,100 USD for FF3 +tail with a few extra fins (pectoral, dorsal, calf). Though after seeing how it looks in the water, worth every penny. I'm so excited.

the 2 and 3 are slower because they have more detailed, therefore making them more aerodynamic

The cheapest is actually 69.95 is I’m not mistaken for a fantasea fin. The cheaper ones are the ones with a tail sling and as the price goes up the monofin is closed inside the fabric.

Yes you’re right! I was specifically talking about the whimsy line in this video but yes there are also the cheaper fabric tail slings available for the original fins as well 😊💕

Thanks for this informative video, only thing is the cheapest mertailor tails that go with the fantasea fin are actually the fantasea tails, they’re $99 , so its possible to get into that combo (fantasea fin $150 + tail $99) for about $250 (+ tax, S&H?) 👍😉✨🧜‍♀️

I agree because in my opinion the fantasea fin one (original) is a more natural shape abd bit more simple which is perfect for me because it's not too big and not too small its just right and the tail skins are so gorgeous 💖

I know this is a few months old but I own 2 fin fun fabric tails and I don't love the fin fun monofin that I have I find it a bit to rigid so what monofin do you think can be used with a fin fun tail skin I'm open to suggestions

These tails are sooo pretty 🥰 and unfortunatelly they got a lot more expensive now... FF3 is now $360... A whole $100 more 😭 and also if you're not from USA there are very high expanses with shipping and tax.

Totally agree the too has a warrior, more creature like vibe. Which is great for spooky sirens! Always loved that shape, have just heard some disheartening things about its durability. Plus I'm small so the original is a proportional size for me and I don't think I'd look right in either the larger fins. 😅

My friend has the Fantasea 2 and she let me try it on and swim with it but she is a size 6 and I’m a 5.I want the Fantasea 3 and on the web sight they give you a size option of men 6 or women 5-7 and so on and so forth but I’m curious if that would fit my size feet?...I know you covered this but I’m still a little confused.

Yes the fantasea 3 should fit your feet, if it’s a bit loose you can wear a pair of thick socks while you swim. It kind of depends of how narrow your feet are.

You wrong about the tail skin for original skin. Their are non whimsy tail skin for gen one monofin. They are make with normal swim suit material their like 99$.

Can you use those fins in other tails?

The FF3 is my DREAM tail, but this will be my first time swimming in one and the size and weight of the FF3 might be a bit too much for a beginner😪. I might have to start with the FF1 and work my way up, it just looks so small to me. I’m 5’5 so idk 😪🤣 I wear a 9 and a half in women’s so would the FF1 be too small for my feet?

Do you have any mermaids in your area? Maybe you could try one out from someone else before you buy a fin? A FF1 will fit your feet, all the fantasea fins have 3 sizes to choose from so don’t worry about that 😊

i have the original fantasea fin but one of my little brother's friends broke off a fluke :( - it still functions perfectly, but I kind of want the whole look lmao. I'm leaning towards the FF2 because it just looks so cool- but also the original because the water lily and olive fly skins are drool worthy.

@@aelysdromard516 the 10% off code has been around for a bit. Most of the mermaids either posted it in Instagram or did a youtube video. Maybe almost a year ago? Edit I'll add em if I can find them again. The 10% I think was not available on the fins but was available for the skins.
