No nonsense and informative. You saved me from buying the wrong pair. Thank you.

Tried on a pair of 512s for the first time today and was blown away. I've always had a love/hate relationship with 511s...the difference in fit between any single pair is ridiculously huge, and more often than not I have to try on multiple pairs just to find one good fitting set. And while I want to like 510s, they're always too skin tight on me. But when I tried on the 512s today? Magic. Perfect fit with the perfect leg taper. I'm a skinny dude, 5'11 and about 160 lbs and these are the best fitting Levi's jeans I've owned already by far.

Please review the 550 next, your choice to what it should be compared with.

Are 512s still in fashion, I feel comfortable wearing them.

For years I wore 511s but for the past two years I've been rockin 512s. 512s are the Levis best jeans out right now in my opinion!

i would consider it as a low rise

my only complaint is that the newer Levi jeans feel paper thin compared to my older Levi's jeans....

That's because the 511's and 512's aren't 100% cotton. They have elastane in them. If you truly want to feel that "tough" feeling from your jeans get the 100% cotton ones like the 501's or 550s. As long as they're 100% cotton

Levi 510 fits like the original 1980s Levi 501. The clue is in the numbering. It’s reversed and that is not an accident. The 511 is now a Dad Jean and the 512 is worn by Art Students, The 510 is man’s man Jean.
