I have thick kinky curly hair. The pillow soft has more weight, but it leaves my hair white. The feather soft curls has great slip, it leaves minimal white residue and dries super fast. Their many curl creams surprisingly give me good definition, but they often don’t absorb into my hair. This is the only one I can use and actually walk out the door. It may not seem like their is a difference, but there definitely is one.

It's been years since I've used Ms Jesse's products. I'll have to give it a try . Thanks for sharing.

The feather soft side I think had less frizz. I definitely want to give this product a try !

I bought both and definitely prefer the feather soft curls.

I liked the feather soft side slightly more

It's a great product but I could not deal with the overpowering scent of the Pillow Soft. It smelled like I applied the blue Downey .

Hi Deb! The pillow soft smell is so strong. It smells like Tide or Gain detergent lol it gave me such a headache but I also have bad allergies. When I tried it a while ago, I was cooking and my husband was sniffing my top like wow did you change our laundry detergent? I said no! That’s my hair lol😂 otherwise it’s a great product but a definite no for me. Feather soft is much better I agree with you 😊

LOL agreed although I actually like the smell of fabric softner, this is more powdery? Too strong.

Same for me too. I use the pillow soft to slick my hair as I find it a bit too heavy for my 3b/3C curls. The feather soft is much more subtle smell wise and gives good moisture without weighing hair down.

Deb what hold hairspray for you use? Firm hold or something else? Thanks

I use Tresemme in the can, any of them. To be honest not even sure which exact one as far as hold but always tresemme: amzn.to/3IcCkF5

What do you ask your stylist for your cut. I always get too much bang and it’s too choppy looking. Could you do a video on how you get your hair cut…I love how your hair doesn’t poof out at the bottom…my stylist doesn’t understand what I want…even with a photo.

I just got my haircut/trimmed yesterday. She is great at cutting but for some reason nobody can style/dry curly hair! I will see how it looks today but I now ask for short layers and I told her to go even shorter on the top. Not sure if I should be regretting that just yet but it gets heavy and I really want the lift. I asked her what's in style as far as the bottom I think she said more straight. We can tend to get the bell look!

@@DebNYCurl I always dry my hair myself…saves me from having to redo it when I get home, lol. Also my stylist uses a towel and roughly roughs up my hair…I cringe every time. I use a tshirt to blot, never a towel…frizz galore otherwise.

My boyfriend once said I was "chemically positioning him" with something I put on one day. I quietly laughed because it was funny. I guess men dont like those "chemical" smelly hair products 😂
