I think it is losing in the long run, since you lose often to better straights and flushes. Also, if you do hit a straight, these low cards might not be very appealing to a preflop raiser, who often has high card like AK, AQ, JJ etc. Therefore, hands like 10 J suited is severely much stronger for example, since u can hit your straight, and connect well with the opponents high cards to get more value, for example if the board is Q K A.

If you open from utg with KQ off, and you face a 3-bet you're easily dominated by AK or AQ. I'll open QK off utg in 6-max, but usually fold to a 3 bet depending on the size and type of player. Poker never has an always do this rule.

Raise preflop, migth solve the problem. You will lose money with the best possible starting hand in the long run if you dont raise preflop with pocket aces, and im dead serious. Hopefully you do raise pocket aces and my assumption is wrong.

Pocket aces are overrated and has been the downfall of many an over confident play. Some will call or raise right to the river hoping another ace will fall only to be beaten by three mid or even low cards because they stubbornly won't fold aces.

Always was. In a lot of card games Ace can be the highest card or just a 1. Poker is not an exception. Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5 is simply a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, which is obviously a straight.

Dirty middle range pockets have landed me a lot of unseen full houses. No one suspects 88 on a board that is something like K A 8 K 4. Everyone else is playing for the kings, or the ace. You flop trips, others flop high pairs, hopefully someone hits on trip kings, and then you've got em hook line and sinker. They almost never see the house coming. That said, if it doesn't hit on the flop, and it's going to cost me to see the turn, I'll fold 88 no question. Regardless of position. It's a solid backdoor hand, but it has to hit flop or turn on the cheap. No way I'm going to pay for the turn or river if it doesn't hit.

these are recommended for raising when you are first in when everybody folded before you. Usually, if someone opens from a position you call when you have the required hands from a +1 later position, ex. raise from CO, you need mp or utg cards to call.

Isn’t the point of poker to sometimes call or bet in even if you have a bad hand? You can’t just alwa wait for a good or better hand. Sometimes you just got to go for it.

Play the range of hands of hands in the video and you will lose nothing or the minimum with bad hands, + you get more respect from other players when you do enter the pot, since they know you only play good starting hands. I like to avoid tough spots with bad hands entirely, and instead enter the pot raising, and then put my opponents in tough spots. Much simplier way of playing poker.

It depends. This guid doesnt consider blind bets, that are basicly a "buy ins" if you were to play only hands that are good (they are correct, those are the Best hands you can get) then you are in risk of loseing any potential in long game. But it all depends on number of players at the table, and your strategy

There's two very different sides to poker. One is cash games where you can sit down and play for as long as you like and leave at any time. The other style is tournament play. You can make good money on cash games following these rules. And you could get relatively far in a tournament. But in order to play St the top level you need to bluff. But this video isn't aimed at that. If you follow these rules in cask games you stand a better chance to make money. Poker isn't about playing other people, it's about playing the odds.
