After getting full rakata 344 gear rating, should I even grind for the pvp gear or will the 344 Pve gear be good enough for pvp? Great Video btw!

344 is good for PVP, just exchange some accuracy for crit if you want to be optimal

Hey man, nice video. I'm returning to the game, and I haven't played since 7.0. I have a full set of purple 326 thyrsian gear from back then, is there a way I can use this gear as a shortcut, or should i just start over completely with your 332 in a day video?

Welcome back! You can follow my 332 in a day video and skip the first step. No need to get conquest gear if you already have Thyrsian 326. So that will save you some time. Just get the low lvl earpiece and spam those flashpoints.

Do the relics from pvp vendor eventually turn purple through upgrade? Are they rng based for the artifact quality? I’ve managed to wrap my head around everything besides how to reliably acquire artifact pvp ear and relics.

Yes, they will turn purple after a few upgrades.

Thanks for the video. I went to 340 with an earpiece for the blue mods. Do I need to deconstruct a 336 purple pvp piece to get the purple enhancements and mix those with 340 or would that be worse than 340 blue enhancements. Did I screw up going past 336?

For PVP you never want to mix 336 with 340 mods in one item slot. So best would be to either get the 340 purple rakata piece and deconstruct it for 340 enhancements OR simply do what you said, get purple 336 enhancements and use the blue 336 mods to go with it.

I’m coming back and all my gear is 332 from last patch. I only PvP. Are my options getting gear from weekly crates, or Hyde and seek? Or is Hyde and seek not an option for me/anymore?

Welcome back. You can do both. Opening Thyrsian crates will get you to 336, which is the cap for pvp gear. If you want to PVE, you can go via Hyde and Zeek, which goes to 340. But that's not needed for PVP. You can also get 336 mods from Hyde and Zeek, which is equal to Thyrsian 336.

Ivano, what about that bug when you mix mod ratings in one item. For example you take 340 armoring, 340 mod, but 336 enhacement. Will that f up the stats in pvp? Is it still needed to have all mods in the item with same rating?

I use modded 340 right now, so I can swap mods between different chars and also use the same gear for PVP/PVE sometimes.

Question so I got the all blue 340 set already is it worth getting the all Purple set now ? Get that from rakata?

@@ab-bk8fe For PvP it is not necessary. The purple gear gives more damage but less health so it is just personal preference what you want more

For a new player fresh level 80 what would be the easiest set for me to farm for decent pvp stats?

The 6500 tech frag per upgrade doesn't take effect until 340 upgrades. Have they fixed Crystal for weapons for pvp?

yeah until 334 it's 2500, everything after that it 's 6500

Cannot confirm that. For me, upgrading 334 -> 336 costs 2.500. But 336 -> 338 and above costs 65.00 a pop. Crystals are not fixed in pvp. Don't give any stats

No, they are useless in PVP. Go full dps and kill them before they kill you! (or: do tons of damage, die and repeat)

The reason for that is that yellow damage abilities (e.g. most damage over time abilities) ignore defensive stats in pvp. So while stacking defense chance can be useful when fighting a Marksmanship Sniper (lots of white damage), it's almost completely useless against some of the most powerful classes in the game right now (Madness Sorc, Engineering Sniper, AP PowerTech)

Got it :) also Ivano I had a question, does my gear need to be 336 or is it ok for it to be higher because I've been talking to somebody in my dm's that does premades with other pvper's and they said they all run 336 because if you don't it bolsters your defense down.@@ivano1337

Relics first, rushing anything else will cause inconsistency in stats. Don't rock 344 relics in general unless you're also rocking 344 for the rest of slots. Even then it seems like it's simply not syncing right.

What do you mean by inconsistency? I have 344 mainhand and one relic and my stats are the same as full 336. Are you full 344 yet and see smth different?

@ivano1337 running different relics, even 344 will nerf hp/power with 336. I did report it like two days ago, though, since they can fix it without a patch, it may have been fixed. I can not check and probably forget tbh.

What is an ideal amount of HP to have paying as tank specialization and PVP?

Depends. If you run dps gear with a shield off hand you should have around 420k hp. If you run full tank gear you can have upwards of 460k HP.

I just got back to this game and pve gear for pvp is the dumbest shit ive ever seen, they should be seperate, now every flashpoint scrub thinks they are good pvp'ers

Hard disagree. Why tf should we gear up twice? Doesn't it make it easier for you when PvE people come in? Aren't they easier to kill regardless of gear rating? Or are you mad because you can't kill them (destroying your own point of them "thinking" they're good).
