There is soooo much you can do with a thumbtack it is a perfect 20/10…. You can penetrate the top top layer of your skin and let it hang. You can then pin your hand to a board or the wall or whatever you want. You can pierce even farther, if you’re a masochist. You can do what that person did like 8 years ago in nyc, get AIDS, prick yourself so it gets aids blood on it, and go around pricking others to try to give them aids. You can attempt the speed run of hanging up a piece of paper to the wall or a cork board, or whatever else You can use it as a defensive weapon, or a offensive weapon It is easily concealable. The possibility is endless with a thumbtack and is one of the greatest childhood toy. It is just as good if not better then pouring Elmer’s glue on your hand and peeling it off.

Yet ultimately, all game reviews are subjective, there is no objective way to define a game score out of 10. You can try to find as many objective measures as possible to determine what should be considered a 'perfect' game. But I am willing to bet that whatever method you choose there will be a counter example of something you don't think actually deserves a 10 even though the measure says it is. For example, some of the most played games of all time are Candy Crush and Farmville. The highest grossing games are pretty much all pay to win mobile games. And really, I would argue that for an individual person the most perfect 10/10 game for them is their favorite game. Even if the game is obviously flawed, the fact that the rest of the gameplay is able to distract from that and make it your favorite game could be argued to make it a 10/10 for that person.

Atrioc included. Unironically suggesting that Melee is a 10/10 "perfect game" is absurd. Multiple characters don't even function properly, to the point they're nigh unusable. The game is amazing and I loved it as much as a kid as I do today, but you can't say that Half-life 2's gun sounds hold it back from being considered a 10/10 and simultaneously disregard all of the fundamental issues Melee has.

The tetris series of games atleast needs to be in this conversation, Tetris is the only series of games in the world where i can pick up practically any version of it and just play for hours without getting bored. The core gameplay is amazing and extremely easy so much so that anyone can play it, but at the same time the depth of the gameplay is still deep enough that you can play for hundreds of hours and still be getting better, you need to learn to play at speed, how the rotating system works, what random setups you can use to abuse said rotating system, what gets you the most points in what situation, all of that shit. As well as the music, the original tetris theme is probably one of my favourite video game themes, and then you have tetris effect which if you are gonna choose one game as a 10/10 for the tetris series it would have to be that, its got the zone power for a buit of extra gameplay that keeps it fresh if you have already played tetris a bunch, and thent he music and visuals are top-tier for any videogame.

I love the game so much I have a tatoo of it, but it had some glaring flaws. On launch, the game was borderline unplayable on base ps3. All release versions were severely buggy. It has many rough edges and cut content, a frustrating inventory system, an underwhelming new player experience (especially base game), and combat and movement were a mixed bag that fallout 4 vastly improved on. That being said, its positives are immense. The story, the lore, the unadulterated freedom, the combat has its pluses, the atmosphere, the variety of innovative quests, are all so incredibly well designed. Few (if any) games have been able to replicate its magical blend. If it had stayed in development for an extra 6-12 months, it might have been an absolutely, undeniable 10/10.

I truly think Minecraft, with the pure amount of creativity that is behind that game and the infinite things you can achieve, is the perfect game. Still played today by millions upon millions, and one of the most speedrun games. For me I'd say Nier: Automata, BioShock, Titanfall 2, and Bloodborne are perfect 10/10 games. The music in Nier and Bloodborne is absolutely god-tier, and all have incredibly fun gameplay, engaging world's and stories, and phenomenal soundtracks and music. Edit: Also how do you talk about Half-Life 2 and not mention Ravenholm! Like say what you want about the other levels but Ravenholm is a masterpiece of a level

Titanfall 2 is the greatest shooter ever released The campaign is unmatched in the genre, even the greats like modern warfare and black ops don’t have anywhere near the emotional impact of Titanfall 2s ending And the multiplayer is FANTASTIC with and insanely high skill curling due to the movement possibilities but the game still feels approachable thanks to intuitive controls/physics, as well as AI enemies to make little billy still feel like he’s contributing. Not to mention the feeling anytime you are in a Titan, it’s like you can’t be stopped. I love that game man

There is a lot of forced backtracking (even if its just the length of 1 level) which does hamper the experience. The lottery was stupid (it's not random you have to wait almost a full year real time between checking tickets to win- although it would still suck if it was just random). Changing the game clock fines you 500c and doesn't give you a prize. Though I will say, the thing with Hooktail was truly an absolutely incredible moment, completly shocking the player. It could still be 10/10, after all a distinction was made between perfect and 10/10
