They were great. If the villians where better and they where more factions (like more hacker groups, mercenaries, corporate security teams, more, gangs, organized crime families and everything in between), manipulating the groups to fight eachother would be amazing. Imagine if you can hack into some tech company servers and blame it on another rival company or cause a city wide gangwar that gets out of hand and you have to put down

Just did a one man army against the police whilst 580s were fighting the police.

Watch dogs 2 was amazing, it’s sad how people write it off when they haven’t even given it a go. I loved being able to call the police or security on a target and then just sitting back and watching the chaos unfold haha.

I love calling the police in gang and then an all out war breaks out and it's great to just watch

I prefer 2 by a long shot. Legion feels like I'm playing a shell of a game. There's no characters to get attached to. Even years later, I remember all the main cast in WD2 so well

I kinda liked WDL. Futuristic London, and it honestly felt a lot like the older AC games TBH. They even added an actual assassin later, along with Aiden and Wrench. Playing with the Perma-Death activated makes you be careful of some of the recruits, and profiling the right people, convincing them to join our cause, especially the Clan Kelly and Albion members. They have sick tech and also free entry to restricted areas. Honestly it felt like what a modern day AC game should look like. No eagle vision, but we got tech now. Parkour and combat, and being stealthy until shit blows to hell. I kept Aiden as a Mentor, and Wrench and Darcy as Master Assassins. Whenever things get tough, bring out the big guns, but mostly use the recruits I have.

My favorite was watchdogs 2, San Francisco was an amazing setting

The plot of the original Watchdogs was a fucking masterpiece. Mayor commits murder and you happen to uncover it while going on the craziest revenge filled rampage of all time. Plus Jordi is such a cordial character.

WatchDogs 2 is better than the others

WD2's SF is so much better than WDL's London, outside of the story everything is bare and there is literally nothing left to do after the story, and how most areas of the map look near-identical to each other , and how Legion has such a lack of open-space and fast cars. Also the choose-whatever character you want ideas in Legion don't make much of a difference due to how most characters can't be given lethal weapons, and instead weak stun-weapons. In WD2, the player is limited a lot less because of how you can give Marcus any gun, any car, and any gadget or ability you want. Every region of WD2 can be easily differentiated, just by the houses and the landscape, and the gangs and police forces that occupy it (nearly 8 enemy factions in WD2 compared to WDL's 2). Since there are nearly no highways or open areas in WDL, and only 2 semi-fast cars, even driving in that game is boring. Comparing these games is like comparing Wildlands and Breakpoint, one is clearly a better game.

Detari you couldn't of said it any better man I'm from London and it just feels like in legion London is so plain whereas like you say in wd2 there was just a variety of landscapes and I honestly don't know why but since I was younger I've always really liked Sf it's such a beautiful place

Watch Dogs 2 is a criminally underrated game. Watch Dogs 1 and Legion are both enjoyable and I’ve put a lot of hours into both, but nothing compares to Watch Dogs 2. I feel like it will eventually garner a cult following as it acts as a pretty perfect time capsule to 2016 culture. I can not state enough how much I adore that game, and sure, some of that is probably nostalgia, but I don’t care. It’s still one of my favorite games of all time.

I like both games roughly the same. I felt Watch Dogs 3 went backwards with side missions, and it took away hacks like calling cops/gangsters on people, mass distraction, and mass black out. I did like that WD3 gave us more drones and drone hacks to play with. I also loved the spider bot (which is basically just the RC Car from 2 that can do takedown). However, you can also change up your playstyle with other tools like the cloak or knuckles. I also liked some of the restricted areas and the number of ways you can approach them in 3. WD3 is not hard, but if you got caught in a firefight in the wrong area it did feel like it was a bit more difficult to fight your way out than in 2. Though I feel like once things hit the road and you were in a police chase that 2 was a bit more thrilling. WD2 open world overall I find way more immersive and fun. I felt like the npcs had more character and the world felt more alive. I simply enjoyed just exploring Chicago than London. Lastly, I actually liked Marcus in 2. I never quite understood the criticisms people had about the main cast in WD2, even WD1 for that matter. I liked Marcus and I liked customizing his look in 2. WD3 customization is not that bad, but being unable to hack money off of every passerby makes it hard to buy clothes throughout the game. Once you have the ETO in WD3 and can get a decent wardrobe going it is pretty fun.

You've missed the main Legion feature. Legion has the unique feature among all games: open world really matters. All those dummies in the streets - matter. Your interactions with those dummies - matter. Now you have to take them into account as you have to in real world. This feature looks like a huge innovation and real breakthrough in game design.

Also I loved the camera in watch dogs 2, it feels like you're vlogging a trip to SF and it made the game more immersive and there are even random events that can only trigger from walking around in camera mode that's pretty cool.

I feel like watchdogs 2 gets a lot more hate than it deserves. Sure the plot could’ve been thought out a little better, but the game overall is really fun to play and it’s my personal favorite in the whole series

best part about wd2 is that you can taunt civilians to the point where they start fighting only to get them arrested by cops By far the most satisfying things in this world

I really like Legion though, I find the game very good and entertaining. The lack of main character is main appeal to me, I can create my own story with the basic background the game provides. Really enjoying the game, just bought the Season Pass.

i lived in london for 3 years and ive visited san francisco, and i agree 100% london irl is really sad and dark due to its shitty weather, san francisco is so sunny and beautiful. Im living in perth western australia and wa (western australia) is unbeatable and is by far the best place on earth

something i'd love to see is watch dogs 4 being set in tokyo. it's a perfect city for hackers, because of all of it's technology. combining legion's neon & graphical detail and 2's vibrance, parkour & cultural variety along with a setting where you can hack alot of things, like making neon ads show an image of a cat dancing to derailing trains to cause immense amounts of chaos would be a perfect game. the opportunities would be endless and especially for the online mode (still looking foward to legion's online mode though) for content updates.

I recently installed 1 and 2. I loved the first one but i thought there could be some improvements to certain features (for example, fluidity within animations, camera angles, and parcour animations) and then i installed the second game and i absolutely LOVE IT! Sadly i haven't played Legion yet

If you will play legion (not sure if you already did) get the season pass and use Aiden, Wrench, and Darcy (maybe Mina if you like her). Legion's weakness is the lack of protagonist. Slapping the season pass to Legion will elevate your experience to the next level and the story will be much tolerable to listen to since Aiden and Wrench has character in their voice lines.

I feel like the only reason I even finished the story of legion was because I exclusively played as Aiden and Wrench the whole game. Both dlc and main story. Like you said, there wasn't a main character to ground the story and while this is pretty much just a substitution, it still kinda works. Sometimes they have special dialogue for specific story scenes which is neat. Plus I loved wd1 and Aiden :33

Watch dogs legion is incredibly disappointing, I don't know who's idea it was to give us play as anyone. It'd be better to let us custom make a character that can actually get a story around them. And for the play as anyone thing you'd think they put more into making npcs more lively but they're not. I'd love to see the next watch dogs stay in London, maybe like a legion prequel so it's just a modern day london with a dedicated main character and giving the city more life.

I have the same issue with Legion.. I want a single protagonist! And the futuristic tone of the game really throws me off so hard! And the game seems to be made on the go.. like nothing is deep enough to hook you in bro like… it’s a shallow empty game..

In my opinion they should have had the best of both worlds, a main protagonist as well as recruiting anyone, like in Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker/Phantom Pain. That way there's an MC with personality and stpry, as well as the other characters you could choose to play as that have the different skills/weapons. Hell, they could even make the recruits followers, that you can bring one with you and switch back and forth with the main protagonist at any time

My only real issue with WD Legion is just...TF is wrong with the water??? Srsly, I could render more convincing water with mah butt.

I'm not a huge fan of RPGs except Assassin's Creed. I'm much more of an action fan. I wasn't really a Witcher fan- just not excited about talking to so many characters to progress the story. But I know the majority of the world loved it. I watched one preview of Cyberpunk that said it was a slower game than the action sequences that have been shown in videos. That's what makes me hesitant. Anyway- will love to see what you have to say about it after its release.

I sank 300 hours, well just under on Cyberpunk. I played CP and WDL at the both time and started CP first. Man CP is one of the best games I've played. Then I played legion and its quite similar to CP cyberwear and hacks. But you dont have to play it that way. You can go down the matis blades and melee route or guns blazing. CP Beats all these. Get it or play it, since its not x/s on xbox and playstation 5 you'll love it now MOST of the bugs have gone. CP 9.9/10 would have been 10 but the bugs and glitches are annoying. I'm getting glitches on legion now where sound drops out for 2 seconds every few hours or less.

I remember that the first time i ever played a watchdogs game was like one or two years ago, where I got it for free from the epic games store, where it was one of the games that was free for a limited amount of time on the epic games store. I remember downloading it, and my reactions were mixed. Overall, I generally absolutely loved everything about the game, the story, the mechanics, the hacking, but my main one problem that put me off it for a while was the framerate. I was playing on a laptop which has become know for delivering bad framerates, and throughout my entire time of playing the game, I was generally getting around ten frames per second, though I knew it was an issue with my laptop, and not the game itself. After a while, I had to uninstall it because I was running out of space, and I really hated that because bad framerates aside, I had a hell of a time playing the game. Recently, I've just started playing watchdogs legion, and yeah sure, i'm having fun playing, but not really as much fun as I was with watchdogs 2. So once I'm done playing legion, I'm looking forward to re-installing watchdogs 2on my xbox series s, where I'll hopefully have a much better experience than before, because it was a game that I really did genuinely enjoy. Though also, on another note, really good video mate, and I genuinely think that all your points were valid and actually made sense, which isn't the case sometimes with video game comparison videos, so good video man.

That’s a hard one I did Aiden’s story but the game overall Hmmm it’s tough to decide I feel they didn’t know what to do WD1 was super gloomy and dark where as WD2 is the opposite both worked for what they had but also I feel WD as while hasn’t gotten their yet even now.

I've played 15h of WD:L now, and I couldn't tell you what the story is. I skip pretty much all the dialog, and just drive around, do missions and side-missions, that's it. WD:2 is one of my Top10 games. I was so eager to play WD:L, and I still like it, but I'm a bit disappointed. It's a very casual game for me, I usually listen to music or watch youtube videos while playing WD:L, because I'm just playing it for gameplay :( But anyways, WD:L is only keeping me occupied until next week when Cyberpunk is going to be released. If I think about it, WD:L makes me want to play WD:2 xD Great video, I basically agree 100%

What is the season pass on watch dogs 2 what do you get with it do you think lost dogs is good what games is the best watch dogs 2 and dying light looking can I get it's kind of hard for me

I really liked Legion because of the nihilist faceless chaos aspect of it (edgy, I know). The story gets dark, and I mean like slavery, oppression, terrorism, mass murder, mass-graves dark, with extra sprinkles of existential horrors (especially the Skye Larsen arc) and technology going to far. I think the faceless Legion of hackers/terrorists/freedom fighters aspect really plays well into this world of underlined horrors because having a goody two-shoes main protagonist kinda defeats the purpose of the world. Throughout the entire story it is not exactly implying that you're the only good guys here, since you're basically murdering and causing terrors toward the establishment (who are also just people with lives, and people who you can recruit and cause even more chaos) and mostly work only toward the interest of DedSec. You are a faceless agent of DedSec out for revenge and destabilize London, not to make friends and be likeable. And I think the hacking tools (which is the most important aspect of the franchise) in Legion is vastly superior. You can opt to go in guns blazing, but between messing with cars, shocking enemies, spider drones, hacking CT drones you can cause so much chaos (or kill/takedown everyone stealthily) even before you even set foot into the base. And I actually like that each individual have different skillsets, which incentives you somewhat to initiate personal missions to recruit people (even if these missions don't really lead to anywhere). Though I wish there were stronger side missions, though some missions are very unique. I just personally prefer Legion due to the idea of it, as well as the hacking arsenals that is without a doubt the strongest of the series.

Watch dog 2 was my favorite wd game. Legion just feels so different to me. I can't really explain why though?

Despite how much people hate WDL for me it's a frickin masterpiece! in my game i had 3 protagonists and the rest were for support, my 3 protagonists were: El Rubius (The charismatic one) Steven Lee (The professional Hitman with a chill voice) and Harry Stevenson (The unbeatable Spy!) and I could see some evolution on them, mostly on Rubius, cause for example, Sky Larson missions seemed to actually traumatize him cause later on that he starts being more serious in his dialogue. For the villains I think Skye Larson and S.I.R.S are the best ones, also Bloody Mary I really enjoyed seeing them and the fact that you can decide the fate of Skye. Secundary missions there's one of them that is with a famous singer and it's funny as hell, cause you're flying a anti terrorist drone meanwhile the song "Fall of my enemies" sounds in a wall you're looking at meanwhile attack drones try to kill you

Please do this but watch dogs legion vs watch dogs 1 and watch dogs bloodline (the new expansion for watch dogs legion) vs every other watch dogs

Ever since I played The Getaway back on PS2, I’d been itching for an open world game to take place in London for so many years. I got my wish with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate but didn’t like the color palette of the game and the fact that it wasn’t in the present. Still though, I visited London in 2016 and I gotta say, Ubisoft did an amazing job with London. I was only there for the summer but it’s really something special visiting all the places I visited in real life and getting to walk them again in a video game. With that said though, as much as I’d been craving a game set in London, I think I prefer sunny San Francisco. London kinda blurs together and the streets/roads are way more narrow than in SF. I’m starting to realize now why there hasn’t been many open world games set across the big pond.

WD2 is hands down better than WDL. Legion is just straight up dark , plus the art murals in the game gives me nightmares

Every games a blast. Legions a game that grows on you overtime because there’s nothing like it. Getting the right characters and learning all the secrets/playstyles the games amazing. But story wise and voice acting, I totally get why 1 and 2 are miles better ✌🏼 but if you want some online fun and still feel like a modern day assassin, def look into legion. Wd2 online was fun but it was very very limited compared

I like watch dogs 2 and all.. But one thing really boils my blood! Your car gets scratched up by just driving it around 😂

Watch Dogs 2 is for me the better 'positive vibe' video game, the story and the characters are more funnier (Lenora Kastner, kinda strange but humorous) than in Watch Dogs: Legion. Swapping between different Operatives is a great again, plus the 'permanent death' feature is a known thing, I just know from GTA Roleplay, that makes you playing more carefully than playing rambo throughout story. The storyline of Watch Dogs: Legion is unfortunately comprehensible, for me it's seems more like an political video game that tells us alot of things that might be happening in the future or how could it look like fighting against the Government as the people. And having one main character through the storyline is a better thing to keep on, because it would be better to have a emotional wire towards the main character, than swapping through 20+ Operatives.

the melee weapon in watch dogs 2 isn't a yoyo, its real weapon which is basically a bit of rope where one end is tied around a metal ball. its a weapon with bludgeons people and can cause a lot of damage

But watch dogs 2 had a lot of side missions, the police wasn’t stupid as rocks, you could buy and customize vehicles and there were more weapons (sniper rifle).

I’m saving some money right now but at some point when I get time I’m gonna go to next gen and work my way through heaps of these games. I lived in London all my life so it’s kinda cool and I loved watch dogs 2 at least until about halfway through. Valhalla looks really good, seeing Desmond again, and Juno, and corridor confessions got me hyped for AC. Then there’s cyber, test drive solar crown, COD, god of war, Harry Potter, far cry. Plus A new AC may drop by next fall. Wow this gonna be pricey. More time in the day is needed

Watch Dogs 2 with the free High Resolution Texture pack looks amazing. After watching your review of Legion, I don't see any reason to buy it except to experience London. Although just checking the price on EGS, it is $59.99 to $119.99 !! I would never buy from EGS anyway. If it's not on Steam then it doesn't exist.

I just wished the atmosphere and mini games from Watch Dogs 1 was in Watch Dogs 2. The POV was immersive, stopping crime was enjoying (repetitive though), and the mini games were highly enjoyable

Ok so this is gonna go over the entire video so read at your own risk of large text: WD2 was great I feel for its characters you got a chance to connect with all of them and bond and I feel like the arc Marcus had was inspiring 2. WD2 villains were great not because they were this single enemy causing havoc but companies and corporations that were abusing the peoples trust for its own benefit they felt like the embodiment of what Dedsec was against so when playing WD2 you felt connected to their fight. (As a side note Dusan Nemec was great as a villian based on his personality each scene felt like he was in control no matter what until later scenes where we see him slipping) 3. I wish he said what plot moments he said Marcus or the story was boring or uninteresting unfortunately idk 4. For combat yes legion has more varied however you can't deny WD2 taser was so much more fun than the new one also Marcus's weapon was an 8 ball attached to a braided rope pretty sure I saw a vid of someone make one and use it and well its not exactly non lethal 5. I'm ashamed to say the customization could fill up what I've already typed so we'll skip and say I agree with WD2 6. Legion killed its vibe for me when they made it futuristic I hate it in every way the other games were somewhat believable and felt like it could happen "near future" feeling but Legion it says "Near future" when you select campaign "Near future" for who? Marty McFly?!? Despised it 7. The side missions in WD2 were amazing plain and simple 8. Already touched on this in 6 but immersion felt very strong in WD2 but felt nothing in Legion 9. I will actually argue the graphics are better in WD2 not from a technical standpoint but the way they work in the environment of WD2 feels more "real" 10. Soundtrack I'm gonna put it simply you could literally MAKE YOUR OWN PLAYLIST IN WD2 It was amazing and you could tune into different radio stations I actually have some of WD2 songs in my irl playlist 11. WD2 amazing best Dedsec focused game (Ilyt WD1) I have played it 4 times and by the end of this year 5 times

I totally agree except with the gameplay for 2 reasons I did enjoy the gameplay more in legion however if you notice that parkour had more animations in watch dogs 2 and you felt awesome doing them. In Legion however they have the roll and two other animations so it really isn't as satisfying. Point 2 is the camera and I hate the camera in Legion. Watch Dogs 2's camera was open and you could really see your whole character, look around the environment and it made you feel epic. Also a quick side not is I don't like how the parkour doesn't support the environment. Like when doing parkour in Legion you kept constantly not being able to climb over things (might be just me though). Also I thought Marcus was the best protagonist (just my opinion).

I want to like Legion, it’s cool, and I feel like I should like it, but it’s not as good as watchdog 2. To be honest, I find it kinda boring. Although Skye Larson was a very good villain.

I enjoyed watch dogs 2 more but legion was pretty good. Like being able to literally recruit just about anybody in London into dedsec is frickin awesome. I can be anyone I want and everyone is unique and different with their abilities and weapons. I can rescue fellow operatives and do little side quests to persuade people who don’t like dedsec to join the cause. Bagley (the ai for dedsec) has made me laugh a lot while playing the game as well. Again watch dogs 2 was my favorite of all the watch dog games but legion took a different approach and I thought it made the game so much more involved. Instead of being just aiden or just marcus, anyone in London who gives a damn can just join dedsec and fight for the people. That’s pretty cool if you ask me

I love watchdogs 2 to bits and have played it to death. But, to me, it always was just *too* similar to grand theft auto, and the near future cyberpunk approach to legion always stuck with me. Especially since I'm bristish and I always see the land marks and are like, haha..big ben has ads on it.

I think the scenery and design is way better in WD2 then legion, you could go into so many shops to almost live in the game! But even the npcs seemed to be more alive in WD2 like you could go to the beach or parks and can see npcs carrying out convos and even working out on workout clothes, now granted it happens in legion too but in some moments looks weird like I was near Big Ben and there’s a park near by and I saw two people doing jumping jacks and working out but one was in workout clothes and the other was literally in a full suit 🤦🏻‍♂️
