    Tennessee weather has been strange as well. I’m just now getting my tubs up and running. Frogs took up residence in one of my ponds, so I have a bunch of tadpoles.

    RACHEL, have you thought of putting a large water tank above your small tubs with pipes running into them and stop where you want the water level to be and they will stay filled up to the inflow pipe until the storage runs out! Thot it might help

    Glad you have the tubs going again! I have a 45 gal tub dirted with golden whiteclouds here in Wisconsin, love them! I'm sure your tubs will thrive as always! 🙂

    So excited to get some fish out over the next week. Just tidied up my 40 gallon stock tank tonight and turned on the airpump. I'm going to add some cherry barbs into that this year and then I picked up a big resin planter that I'm either going to put Gardneri killis or Elassoma Evergladei into.

    Great to see you can get your fish outside! Here in the Netherlands we have unusually cold weather and the water temp. is way too low. The 2 week forecasts are not favorable either. I'm afraid that it's going to be a short season this year for me. Got Ted Coletti's book to keep me occupied for now. Btw, what is the difference between meteor minnows and longfin minnows? I see the names being used interchangably. Hope your ankle heals fast!

    I believe Meteor Minnow is just another name for the Long-finned variety although I could be wrong!!!!

    Would love to do some summer tubbing but being in the UK it can go from 80 to frost over night.Our weather is very annoying.

    @DebraPage We thought the same being in the UK but we took the leap and put our Endlers, our Long-finned White Clouds and putting out our Vietnamese Cardinal Minnows next week. We just have a couple of heaters in each tub for when the temperature drops :-)

    No, the tubs are black and hold a lot of the daytime heat. Minnows and danios in particular do just find with the mild shift. Tetras can be more picky.

    I wish my home's water supply wasn't piped in by the city...., I'd rather only wish could hv had well-water stead to avoid additives such as chloride, ect, ect. Then I too could use a garden hose for fill ups & fill outs. God, the time I could save if indeed was....!@$#%&

    When you go hiking later this year wrap both ankles in ace bandages to support your ankles from further injury.

    Yea, I am currently in a cast then will move to a support brace. I literally just stood up from my table and my foot was asleep. I went protective mode on the knee on the way down and the ankle took the brunt. 🙄 over 40 sucks
