Nick is technically more accomplished with his Strikeforce title reign, but Nate definitely made the bigger footprint in our pop culture, and probably made a lot more money. Which is better depends on how you look at it.

Nick by far is way more technical in his stand up and bjj. Nick had a nice championship reign with some good title defenses, and made history by stopping Daley due to strikes. Nate didn't have any gold of that caliber, but he did have more popularlity in modern times. Popularity in modern times = more money

Nick was the wec champ, strikeforce champ and interim title challenger against Carlos Condit. Then against gsp. Obviously nick career is better

@@ScoobaSteveNC more people watched Nate Diaz fight than Nick Diaz. Nate Diaz had more fans. He also made more money as a result of all of this. Fame, fans, cash. Here's the thing.. The goal of being an MMA fighter isn't just to win and get belts. Those wins and belts aren't the inherent goal.. they are meant to be the key to fame and success and money and fans. It's meant to be the key to get to where Nate made it to without. The point of winning the belt is to have people know who you are and to get fame, fans and a top spot on the card. Nate got all these things. His win against Connor was bigger fight than any belt or title nick ever won. Nick vs Nate is a question of understanding the business of MMA. Connor McGregor had a better MMA career than Jose Aldo. Same reason

Nate became the bigger star but Nick was the better fighter

Nick was always the better fighter of the two of them. But Nate made it great with popularity and money I'm sure Nick would've been a bigger star then Nate if it weren't for the suspension....but nick was done fighting even before the gsp Fight. I truly believe if he fought Gsp before when they was booked for the first time before bj Penn the unification of the strikeforce belt and the ufc belt I think Nick would have won. But when he "lost" to condit witch he didn't "ufc judges the worst in the world" anyway he was fed up with fighting and the judging criteria in the Ufc. And Andersson was just a fight for the money he had a goal with the ufc though to fight the 3 highest paid fighter and he did but with one foot out, BJ Penn GSP and Andersson Silva so without being a champion he did get the same amount of money in these fights mission accomplished. But damn fu Dana for folding the first booking of Gsp Vs Nick, becouse he was so good then and motivated.
In mma overall: Nick obviously In UFC: Nate without a doubt

Nick as far as accolades, Nate as far as star power.
Nick, he actually fought for the title and won it in another organization. He was much better imo.

Nick for accomplishments in the sport, Nate for global presence and impact
For a martial artist or hardcore MMA fan's perspective: Nick For a UFC fan who started watching around 2014: Nate
Nick has done more with his career, but Nate gathered more Star Power
3:18 It's because weed is a banned substance in competition but fighters can smoke it out of competition. Nick's weed suspension lasted less than a year but he faced further suspensions first from NSAC and then from USADA because Nick refused to disclose his whereabouts on 3 separate occasions. He was free to compete from April 2018 but by then it had been over 3 years since his last fight so it would've been quite understandable if he never fought again
nate is my favourite fighter because of his open personality and is always real his fights are by far the most entertaining to watch win or lose
Nick in PRIDE, DREAM, Elite XC and Strikeforce had some of the most memorable fights ever. My favorite fight of all time was between Nick Diaz v. Takamori Gomi.
Nick has been my favorite fighter since the old UFC days. Me and my buds used to get so pumped to watch his fights. We would always go to a bar and watch the fights live. Love to watch them both (nate and nick) but nicks fights were more entertaining. He is an amazing boxer and its fun to watch.
Remember the interview where Nick lamented that he molded Nate for this profession and after it was taken from Nick with that suspension, he worried that if he wasn’t able to take care of his little brother financially with his own career success, Nate might also suffer should his mma career go the same way. Bittersweet sigh of relief.
Nick was more successful when it comes to his professional MMA career but Nate probably earned more money and was more successful on the business side of things
If you followed their careers they were actually pretty parallel. Hence the reason why they are both considered one of MMA's greats! #RESPECT🥊
Are we all forgetting nate won tuf?
Nick is a better boxer but I think Nate is more well rounded mma fighter. However Nick basically retired in the middle of his prime. Between him Robbie and Johnny I think if Nick never stopped he could have been WW champion 2014-2018 those ; years was a good window where he could have won the title.

Love ya channel, My Guy, but can't even finish watching this, FR... ✌🏾
Always look forward to your videos! You always kill it 🔥 🔥
Love your videos man, I want to start posting similar content but for mma and boxing. Also looking jacked!
Career wise nick in general but star wise nate hands down. Lil wayne eminem e40 etc have all name dropped him in songs 🔥🔥
Nick fought GSP and Nate fought Mcgregor. The most power twitters ever seen
It's crazy has Nate has 11 UFC losses while he beat the top 2 fighters with the most UFC wins (47).
U gotta love them both they both real fire asf
NICK, He was a champion PLUS he is the reason NATE started Combat sports. THE GENERAL, THE OG, MISTER NICK DIAZ.
Cmon, you have to at least take a stance and pick one! i'm going with Nick.
Nick: better fighter Nate: more successful fighter
Mad respect for Nate to possibly sacrificing a knockout against Edwards to emote.
DAAAAAAMN KIIYON FUCKIN GUNS OUT LETS GOOOOO
Nick became a champion that's the only difference really, respect to both of them for what they bring to the sport
I’d say Nate. He was MORE active than Nick.
Nate would be first one to say nick. The love these brothers have for each other 💯
Gotta say my bro looking jacked these days love the vid I think they both did have a great run but in different eras nick was more when they were focused on the hardcore spike tv era were nate got more popular towards the super fight era but I do agree with what you say always live the vids 👊
Nick had a better overall career, but nate is more entertaining in my opinion
In terms of MMA achievements I'd say Nick in terms of popularity profits and PPV Nate.
Nate definitely. He beat Conor, Pettis, Cerrone, Tony, Miller etc etc. Some brilliant lightweights. Diaz just beat Lawler when he wasn't very good and Penn who he was much bigger than and past his prime.

Wat about Daley probably round of the year back then. Frank Gomi condit 235 plus he stood stood toe to toe with a roided out siliva and. Didn’t get knocked out
From where they come from they both are massive winners
Idk who had the better legacy between this Diaz brothers, but this Kiyon haircut has a better legacy than the long hair
Prime Nick was the better fighter, but the suspension ruined his career. Nate has carried on the legacy. I don’t want Nick to fight again, unless it’s against Street Judas to avenge the BMF Dr. Stoppige!
I think it's very simple. Nick had the better MMA career. Nate had the better career period.
Money wise nate, legacy wise nick
Nick Diaz said WHERE YA AT GEORGE!?? that was a moment
nice vid! I don't think Nate was bothered at all by being in Nick's shadow.
Nick was the better fighter and won a world title but Nate probably had bigger fights and reached a new level of stardom
Like Nick said in an interview that's a stupid question
Please do how good was Charles " Krazy horse " bennett
Love them both, probably say Nate had the Better career, even Nick said one time he is glad to see his brother become bigger than him and make more money than him. BUT my favourite is Nick, he has always been one of my favourite fighters and still love watching all of his old stuff, fights, pressers, backstage interviews. He's awesome.
Both are some of my favourite fighters. I lean towards Nick but I think that with a few years hindsight the strength of competition may swing this argument over to Nate and UFC centric bias. Is being a top 5 UFC fighter in LW and WW in the 2010s worth more than the Strikeforce and Dream belts in what feels like an earlier era of MMA.
Man I really want some arms like that
Nick and Nate have subtle but, significant differences. Both have outstanding jiujitsu. But, their stand up and mentalities are different. Nick, is more likely to press the issue immediately, force you to bang it out, make an error and put you out immediately. Nate, encircles you, makes you fight a dictated pace. His pressure comes in more gradually. He finds the opening and puts you out when you are gassed. If i had to fight either of them, it would be Nick. The way he fights would likely end up with quicker ending with less long term damage than fighting Nate
Will Nate still get his "How good was?"
How do u define better?? More accomplished in terms of belts and being a better mixed martial artist?? If then Nick. Made more money? If then Nate
God of war himself NICK DIAZZZZZ
We need a how good was Aldo and Cowboy videos
Imo neither, they both have completley different legacies that they are leaving on the sport. Both impactful and both are important to the sport. They’re both real ones.
Does this guy live with Jerry Seinfeld? I was expecting Kramer to burst in the door any minute.
Nick wasn’t getting past gsp. However I think that he would taken some of his brothers spotlight. If he was still active within those five years.
There’s a difference between success of paper regarding career legacy and popularity. I think Nick has a more impressive career with regards to wins and belts but Nate is wayyy more popular
Nate is also more popular because of the time factor or should I say t year suspension 👀. I love them both though.
Where'd the hair go yo?!
Nick was a champion in strikeforce , Wec , ifc He had gomi in a gogoplata back in pride Got robbed against condit Defeated Daley , BJ PENN , Kj noons, Gomi , Lawler , Sakurai , Zaromskis, Cyborg, Josh Neer etc Fought 2 goats silva and gsp
They both had great careers. I don't think the can be judged against each other. I like the way you handled the subject. But I think it's crazy how fighters can be on Cocaine days before a fight and that's ok.
Nick was a huge star in his day and a way better fighter
Nate has the better career for sure but Nick walked so Nate could run. Big respect to both of them.

😂 how
Nick for gold. Nate for $.
In terms of accolades for sure nick but Nate made more money and had more hype behind him so it really just depends on what you consider more successful, glory or money, for me though it’s nick
Honestly when Nick was in strike force they’re competition was 10 times better
Nate for sure in terms of monetary gain, but nick was still instrumental in his rise. No Nate without Nick
Damn bro arms looking big u been lifting lol
Nick with accomplishments Strike force champion WEC champion and also 2 time title challenger for the UFC lost a close fight to Carlos condit and lost against a prime GSP but Nate after Conor he started making bank
Nick for sure imo
Doesn’t matter, they’re both needle movers
Exactly
Nick, Nick was more consistent and fought harder competition, skills set even, physicality Nick. With that said its Nates time now and Nick knows it
I would say nate
Wasn’t rousey the one to make daiz take a shot for the first time
Nick had to deal with prime GSP and Anderson Silva, i think without the unfair suspension he would have ended building as much or even more following than Nate, and he had more potential to be champion
Nice place. That neighbor tho.
I dont know if Nick would have become the type of star Nate has become. Definetly has the charm and edge that Nate has but he never seemed comfortable being in the spotlight unless it was a fight. Nick always came across alot angrier and hostile towards media so I dont know if the main stream would have embraced him as much as did Nate.
Nick had better in everywhere he put his attitude his striking and jiujitsu in strikeforce and out of ufc showing stockton mentality same as nate in ufc for sure nate is like a gangster of ufc both were good could be more better but thats who they are
Can't realy separate the two, Nick Diaz is the GOAT in term of discipline. Nate Diaz has more charisma, learned to play the game with dignity and respect, but we have to understand that Nick was behind all of his development. Praise Iisus Hristos..i mean Diaz brothers warriors!

Nick Diaz's style is a philosophy, by delivering more shots with less damage for his oponent, except when he surprises with a hard hit.
Did kiyon bulk up
Come on man. Nate has a future in other leagues for some time to come. He will fight somewhere else and then go fight somewhere like BKFC at the end. I know this because he has no future in a Podcast or Acting. On the other hand judging Nick by his last fight, his absence from the ring, his messed up speech from 🧠 🤕....Nick is for sure done. Nate still has miles left on his motor
Nate is more popular and much better at the promotion part but if you have been a fan of MMA from the jump like I have and you got to watch young nick diaz live. I'd put that guy against anyone World class
This is a pretty subjective question but I certainly think Nick was the better fighter (or at least we saw more skilled performances from him).
Nick in strikeforce... Other then that, I say they're mostly fan based. The diaz brothers are the "Dale Earnhardt Jr" of the UFC. Think about how much people talk about McGregor still and when he actually did something. Aldo... That's when...
Is it just me or does his apartment look like the one from Seinfeld lol
*Love Nate, but Nick's a much much MUCH better fighter, he's one of the greatest welterweight ever, Nate in terms of fame and Nick in terms of fighting.* *Nick's also my favourite fighter of all time*
I honestly think they just didnt want Nick as a champ, like they thought it would make the UFC look bad. Hence the 5 years for weed
Nick had a better career and was a better fighter. Got persecuted for smoking weed, which is laughable only ten years later. Remember.. he got banned for life for smoking weed! Nate was always Nick's younger brother to me. A Nick copy, and proud of it. But he for sure made more money, and probably managed it better.
No offence to Nate but Nick is a legend for everything he’s done. Nate owes so much to his one fight with Conor. On a side note you better hope you never cross paths with them if they see this video You getting a Stockton slap ….
I would argue that Nate had the better UFC career... Nick had the better overall career for his career outside of the UFC... I base this purely on Nate actually earning a title shot, his two fights with Conor (breaking the 1 million PPV), and him playing the UFC like a fiddle on his exit
I think if Nick didn’t get suspended he would’ve become a champion He would’ve beaten lawler , hendricks, Macdonald and already beat condit in my opinion
obviously nick, but nate is more famous
