Just to clarify, as a Chinese, there's a been a lot of rumor about Liziqi's case. Before she was a self producing channel but later she worked with another company. Recently the company she worked with grew a lot and sued her because they basically want full control over her videos for more profit. I think they are in court currently. ( Also no her channel isnt created by the government lol)

I find it hilarious how the article ludwig was reading said that her last public statement was her shitting on big business, and yet then speculated that it was the CCP that banned her. Also how the entire chat thought that her channel is run by the government shows how a lot of westerners view anything remotely Chinese.

Hey Lud, can we have a part 2? I’m sure there are a lot of other countries worth checking out

About the Chinese KZreadr Li Ziqi (李子柒), the reason behind of her not uploading to youtube was not because of some communism scheme or anything to do with the government, in fact, it is totally legal to upload on KZread as a Chinese as there are tons of Chinese youtubers out there. The real reason for her to stop uploading was because of a lawsuit happening between her and her managing company, a Chinese MCN, who has been abusing Li Ziqi's personal brand on selling overpriced food products, and other side products. In ways of trying to save her brand from being ruined by the company, Li wanted to stop being managed by that company but the company is unwilling to give up the huge profit behind the name of Li Ziqi (her real name is Li Jiajia). So there is this big lawsuit going on between her and this company and at the meantime she is not able to upload anything under the chanel Li Ziqi since the name is technically under the company and she is unwilling to use another name as it is rightfully so. Hope Ludwig can see this and have some clarification on the issue, and I believe she will be back some day in the future.

Is funny watching Ludwig react to Rubius like "yeah he is doing pretty good" without understanding that the impact Rubius had is actually insane. Like nowadays you just see him being there and still pretty big but just chillin while Ibai and others are the face of hispanic content creation. But back in the day the impact was so incredibly massive and was very easily comparable to PewDiePie in his peak, but then again language barrier didn't really give as much attention from the english side of things for how big he actually was. Either way is fun to see how other people react to creators from other cultures not really knowing much about them; and there are probably channels showed in this video that are a lot more important than we actually know. Very interesting
@locochoify
Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Rubius became insanely big very quickly, having the biggest reach in Spain and a very large audience in Latin America; he wasn't the most watched there but was still very present, specially considering having to "compete" against the local KZreadrs. Like you said, he could easily be compared to PewDiePie, which is crazy. Lately I would argue Ibai has gotten even more popular once he left the LoL community, having big collaborations with artists, football players and more, but he benefits from going outside the Spanish speaking communities by speaking English from time to time. I hoped he would have talked about Yuya, the biggest female KZreadr WORLDWIDE. Even if her content has always been in Spanish, she had always been bigger than American KZreadrs lke Jenna Marbles in her prime. And even though she doesn't upload as much since she had a baby, she still gets millions of views.

As An Egyptian, I can Totally confirm that Shawar in NOT even a close-to-fit for "good" Egyptian youtubers, and it's kinda Sad seeing him in Ludwig video when we could've seen someone like "Mahmoud Ismael TV" or even "El-Da7e7" aka Egyptian Vsauce

Another Really Honorable mentions: -Kareem Elsayed (Egyptian-British vlogger with quality content and he has Captions in most of his videos) -Mokey1998xx (When you get KSI-Quackity-isaacwhy together in one guy from Egypt, he's a funny guy with actually entertaining ideas most of the times) Those for sure for anyone that is interested in the Egyptian KZread content :D

@@mazenmohamed383 That's a sad fact, Not so many Egyptians use KZread or twitch in a regular basis so it's left for kids as a distraction, And yes agreed on mokey, speaking of underrated people, i recommend you watching Shehab Ahmed He's also a great one
The relaxing end channel is actually genius! Lud isn’t wrong. That man literally doesn’t pay any taxes. 5head
Do this again, but then with the Netherlands. Some KZreadrs has some great content here!
the number of ads in this actually irked me
there's no way ludwig is a gamer without knowing vanoss. i also wanted to have the forbidden fruit and see filthy frank there
How has Lud not seen Vanoss does he even know youtube, Vanoss was close to the most subscribed channel on youtube at one stage

It is *incredibly* easy to just miss entire sections of youtube, man. All anyone ever sees is the tip of the tip of the iceberg.
I love how in the end chat was begging for the netherlands
Every country in the world- lists 25 countries
Seeing Vanoss brought up some hella nostalgic memories. I probably learned most of the swear words i know from him… i really shouldn’t have had unlimited access to the internet at a young age….
i almost lost all my hope for lud when i saw every other nordic country on the list expect finland, i'm very glad he clutched but like all jokes aside i'm a bit dissapointed lud didn't watch any of the finnish speaking channels since they have the biggest finnish audiences and i'd say they represent our youtube communities much more

i think Lakko is most watched Finnish speaking KZreadr. edit: also Roni Back is really big Finnish youtuber.

@@Keslefin yeah i think so too
I remember McCreamy from when he got his start in Overwatch lol
shoutout to the 2 people in chat who knew who tokyo machine is
Vanoss being here was extremely nostalgic
Finally something good to watch
Cool that ludwig gave a shoutout to all these smaller channels
I read a book recently about design and in the intro the author went around the world to look at the different design. He basically found that design among all cultures is the same because of the globalization of big business. Same with youtube I guess. (not bc of big business but bc when one thing sticks, everyone follows & ig youtube has a specific set of audiances)
I always forget that guy is now the most subscribed Japanese KZreadr. If you ask anyone in Japan who the most subbed KZreadr is I think almost everyone would still say it is Hikakin.
I love the idea of learning shit with you. Learning about these KZreadrs was dope. What if we just learned about some shit from history or whatever?
holy fuck that popcorn castle SLIDE IN was fucking SMOOOOOTH. great video
A part of me died when those Egyptian dudes were dancing lmao
