I was fortunate to visit Syria twice, loved the people. They will always have a special place in my heart.

People here are seem so sweet and good natured. I would love to visit. We’re lucky to have many Syrians here in Canada although I wish the ones who have had to flee from war would never have had to go through that experience.

Many associate Syria with war etc but before the war it was a very beautiful clean place! With streets washed nightly! Sanctions must be lifted to revive the economy and let peace prevail

I oncely saw a reportage about university students in a syrian university and many news about war and about recovering of war, in every video you can notice they have fine features and this video confirms it, as we say in Mexico you look like hand carved. Greetings to Syria from Mexico. Hope Syria continues recovering and finally becomes a mediterranean jewel like it was before.

The last comment from the lady was one of the best ever. She wanted to see the buildings of AH's architect, Albert Speer, in Berlin, but when she got there she forgot they had all been destroyed in WWII, so thought the city was rubbish. 😄

No electricity water and hardly any jobs with good salaries. It’s tough, but people are living. Oh also some areas still get bombed

Not the war isn’t over. Idlib province is still contested. There is still bombing/shelling of the Syrian people. Think around 50% current live in poverty which is much higher than prewar. Millions of Syrians are abroad with no intention of returning because they are fearful or potential reprisals but most do not have a good qualify of life in exhale. Many struggle with the basics housing, food, water, constant power cuts, etc

I do not recommend visiting lebanon right now Gas prices are high asf, the currency is falling apart and we have no president But if you have allot of dollars you can pretty much cruse through the country

We don’t respect them but we respect Syrians, I have a Syrian friend and I have to say they are the best people the sweetest and the most kind people I have ever met. I really hate what Syria went through and I hope the country heals and so do it’s people.

@@roud4754 Yeah through all the travel videos and people I’ve talked to, most do not hate Americans, just the gov. And as an American myself I can fully understand that, I’ve educated myself a lot on and am disgusted by what’s been done to others. There is some sure, but there is also many hateful Americans too, and I can understand more in their case given the experiences they’ve had. The illusion of upholding “freedom and democracy” has definitely weakened, and albeit for varying reasons, Americans have become much more anti war. During elections now, the opponents will accuse the other of wanting war/expose their role in Iraq war. And the younger Americans especially oppose US imperialism strongly. Another big shift is attitude toward Israel, there has been mainstream media that called Israel apartheid and called out war crimes, and some leftwing politicians. Only a few years ago this would’ve never happened, it would’ve been very one sided and wouldn’t of offered sympathy to Palestinians.

We are friendly people in general and I know Americans are as many nations in this world they have their own good and bad people. Media played great role in painting us Syrians as terrorists extremists and danger people while in reality we are not.
