Marcelo Pareja since they re made the mech it makes sense and the old one wasn’t as big as it was in the show and it needed more play features and it would be cool to see what mini figures they could choose to put in the set.

As a kid I was always trying to fold up kai's mech and put it on the back two pieces that hold the wheels. Huge missed opportunity that neither the original nor legacy set included that

Hey mind don't quote me on this but i thing The reason why they had a huge gap on the back of the vehicle in 2013 was to add the fire mech on the back of it and they just never mentioned that you could do that. sounds ridiculous but I think that's what they tried doing

Can you see if the 2013 kai mech connects to the driller? That could be the reason of the translucent orange piece and the space in the back.

No the orange piece is a little flame exhaust thingy Besides, it would have been advertised on the box/instructions

3:23 the play feature is literally what makes this set. 6:26 and also I don't mind the storm fighter for legacy not having 2 seats because kai only rode in it once and that's not what made the storm fighter what makes the earth drill on the other hand is it is a huge vehicle that can fit all the ninja plus nya misako and sensei Wu. With a giant drill on the front.

The only reason to prefer the originals is nostalgia. I grew up with the older sets, but saying that they're better because "you had them when you were younger" is idiotic. In general the legacy sets improve on the original.

I now have both sets, the original because I love the old sets and figures, the Legacy because of the added detail and function.

The new Earth Driller is much much much better. The old one looked pretty good, but now every time I look at it, …yeah.

you know if you took out the brown piece in the middle of the cockpit, you could fit three figures.

Usually, I'm not a big fan of how the Legacy sets look because LEGO often changes the design of the object, but this is one of two exceptions for that rule for me. The newer version is alot more accurate to the show, even the cockpit is more accurate.

the set of the old version was bad who cares if the season was "good" an most of the episodes were filler

My favorite cole vechile (2019 verson)

In this Legacy versus original I absolutely must say that the Legacy is far superior than the original. This is one of those rare cases in the Legacy line where I feel like they actually did the set much better and correctly and more show accurate than the original. A lot of these Legacy sets have been in my opinion semi fails because sure some of them may be good set but they definitely do not capture What was seen in the show and therefore it's not nearly as good in my opinion. Like I said some of them are good sets but they are definitely not good Recreations of what we see in the show. This Earth driller though is one of the exceptions along with the monastery and the Destiny's Bounty.
