The husky is a good set for what its priced at ive been using mine for about 3 years and i beat the crap out of it. It comes with some skips tho and alot of 12 point in the 1/2" drive. The Pittsburgh impact sockets and the husky 270 is a great choice imo

@frankmfeb13 ☠️☠️🤣🤣🤣 I was just excited for the black Friday deals at the time I didn't even pay attention ☠️
I tend to go watch Project Farm test things. He did a tool set test, but the prices varied. Unfortunately, when it comes to tools, having things for years isn't always a signal of the quality NOW, just the quality of it when you bought it. Lots of companies have been consistently cheapening their product.
As a mobile mechanic, I have always went Milwaukee. I have the 56 piece 3/8 socket set i got two years ago for $100 on sale at northern tool. And that one set has everything i needed for motor and transmission swaps, i can take a whole car apart even if i use the sockets with a breaker bar or extended ratchet they work quite well, even with 1/2 in adapter to 3/8 on a impact gun they don’t snap, very high strength test I’ve broken ratchets but not those sockets! Plus the best thing that i like about it is that the socket tray can be removed and put in a toolbox drawer and also they go from 6mm all the way to 19 mm no slips, 6, 7, and even 11mm in both deep and short sockets are included in the set. Hands down the best set I’ve owned just bought two more sets for my mechanics not to mention the ratchet that come with it is 120 tooth now i know eery tool manufacturer has an option for 120 tooth but the Milwaukee ratchets have a 4 degree swing that even my snap on ratchets could not compete with, absolutely the best for all around mechanic work in tight spaces, the squared body of the sockets aside from being anti roll also serve a double purpose being that you can put a box wrench or ratcheting wrench on them if you can’t fit the socket and the ratchet in a tight spot they literally thought of every application with this set
I’ve been using my husky tool set for years and I’m still finding helpful tools left and right in this kit. Best 100$ I have ever spent .
Husky is very very easy to warranty at Home Depot. I’ve found dewalt and Milwaukee are not as easy. Husky u need nothing but the broke tool

Those 43 and 56 socket sets are different types of sockets....
I got the Milwaukee impact set because I was in the market for some sockets and they have been awesome got them last year on sale
Husky if you need a starter set. But milwaukee if you need to replace older tools that you already own. But I would go for snap on if you use something a lot and you don't want to keep rebuying.
Husky makes a good enough hand tool that its a safe value for the money. They're not likely to fail and you get a ton more.
I bought a 1/4 inch set and I abused the crap out of it. It's built to last. Plus those sockets are easy to know who has your sockets.
kobalt does with there 5 foam tray master set it's just more than 99 bucks... also craftsman fan boi 🤘

Do yourself a favor and get the one from gear wrench. It's not $99 but it has 12 and 6 point of the sockets you usually need and comes with a good set of ratcheting wrenches that are mint. I also ran the husky set for awhile but it was missing too many sockets.
The Sams Club Channel Lock set is slept on
The Dewalt with the Toughsystem!!
Don't know about the DeWalt 3/8 ratchet... But the Milwaukee is junk, at least the ratchet itself. I've been through two of them and both failed... The sockets are pretty decent though
@JamesJamersonIsAGod
8 ай бұрын
I have that 3/8 DeWalt ratchet from a smaller set. Worst hand tool I’ve ever purchased. It binds up to a no turn condition on a whim, I’ve tried messing around with the internal mechanism and lightly oiling, etc. and nothing seems to work, just poorly manufactured parts with bad tolerances. A Walmart HyperTough or a Harbor Freight Pittsburgh would run circles around that DeWalt…
I'm not really a Dewalt or Milwaukee fan boy. That Husky 270-Piece _seems_ OK at first, but easily 130+ of those items could best be described as cheap filler and "fluff" like an almost crazy amount of screwdriver bits to push up that piece count, and it actually lacks a lot of far more consequential doodads that you might normally expect in such a kit like adapters between the various ratchet sizes or even a single often crucial "universal joint". Also the 10 included SAE and Metric wrenches top out at the fairly miniscule 9/16" and 13 mm respectively. Honestly, for a buck less over at Walmart you could get the Hart 215-Piece kit with FAR less "fluff" if you just want an honest socket kit with most _everything._ I snagged one last year for just $47 as an "open box" clearance item (just missing its cardboard wraparound cover), and it really ain't half bad, with smoother and tighter-arc 90-tooth ratchets instead of the Husky's 72-tooth. There aren't any wrenches in that Hart kit, but that would be easily remedied by some Pittburgh Pro ones from Harbor Freight that come in superb sturdy plastic clip-shut holders to keep 'em straight. I am particularly fond of their combined SAE _and_ Metric "stubbies" set currently $13.99. They've got a no-hassle Lifetime Warranty too, right there in the store. Sadly, my very favorite under-$100 "tool cube" buy was a Craftsman 224-Piece one they no longer make (Model #CMMT12038) that I picked up for $99 at Ace Hardware a couple of Black Fridays ago. A lot of folks say the newer Craftsman stuff ain't as good as their old gear, but I've got both old and new and have been perfectly content with my latter day wares too. Still, I'm no pro nor in the trades. Yet even I can see that you're gonna get less for your C-note this year than before, with a lot more "fluff", even in the Craftsman offerings.

They are all good quality, durable and reliable tools. Ranking them in terms of overall quality, I’d go Milwaukee, DeWalt, then Husky. But this is a situation where it comes down to personal preference and what you actually need to be included in the set.
Cornwell $99 a week for me 😅
I I picked up the Milwaukee tool set with the square sockets.
Husky seems like the best here but harbor freight has a deal for the 225 piece one from Pittsburgh and it seems pretty good too
Milwaukee only gets you the 3/8 ratchet the rest have 1/4 and 3/8 at least and with Husky containing all 3 sizes and way more pieces while being able to walk in and warranty it.
I like the set, I need to replace mine case is broke. I do not like the new case to bulky now for where l keep it on my truck.

Dewalt and Craftsman are my go to for the best bang for the buck per say. Not as much filler.
I have all 3 of those set. Milwaukee is very nice. Best of the 3.

The husky or the DeWalt are by far the best deal. I already have most of those tools so for me its a better deal to get the Milwaukee since I am in need for an impact set.
Can any show tool sets that aren't the mechanic set? Like not even half the suff is actually needed, oh wow 70 different bits! That will rust. Show good sets, like some flex head ratcheting wrenches that come with complete sizing 9mm to 19mm, nothing missing!

Husky, hands down. They have a good return policy.
I can't tell you which one is the best but I already bought husky and no complaints until the owner loses the 8mm and 10 mm bits LMFAO
Why would you use the impact set real question ?
Husky 290 piece… a few more bucks than the 270, and a wider range of socket sizes.

Can't beat the lifetime warranty at the price point.
