Where YOUR Rejected Clothes Go To Die | Panipat, India
I'm on a 60 day mission across the world to KILL fast fashion. My first stop, Panipat, INDIA.
This textile recycler is one of many in the city of Panipat. At its peak, it holds 300 TONNES of stock at one time. This "stock" is all rejected clothing from all around the world, mainly as a result of fast fashion. This business recycles as much as possible through transforming it into new products, but the sheer amount of textile is far too much. The rest of it will end up in landfill.
Thank you to the lovely owners of this business for being so transparent and allowing me to ask any and all questions.
We must slow down.
