Adam's so good with his content. While I'm not a Disney superfan, I still enjoy those videos. However his bread and butter for me is the forgotten Americana from his road trips around the country. Also I can honestly say I learn something new almost every video he puts out 👍

Great research as always Adam! I lived in west L.A. and joined the =w= Fanclub in ‘94 and have so many great memories of that time. The day Pinkerton was released they performed live in the other Tower Records parking lot slightly down the street from where you were standing. In ‘05 I went the party at the Amherst house where fans tore carpet off the wall, the photos and exterior really don’t capture how insanely narrow that garage / laundry room was! Also, it’s crazy how Pico Blvd was sort of its own Sunset Strip in the early 90s, so many music venues were waking distance from their house (Alligator Lounge, Music Machine, The Gig) most of which are long gone

I loved this vlog! Such great content keep it up! It’s bittersweet to see that Tower Records and just Hollywood blvd. now in general. I remember in the 90s as a teen, my friends and I use to go see bands play around there and go to clubs and shopping at cool edgy clothing stores. Now it’s like everything that was there before is gone like a ghost town of where the magical music scene use to be and there are homeless people in front of every building. I would have never guessed it would be like that 20 years later. I feel so lucky to have the memories though.

I was at the Troubadour when I saw Weezer opening up for Overwhelming Colorfast many, many years ago. There is a section upstairs where the VIP get to go and I was there watching Weezer play and telling my friend.. These guys are good!! I still remember the singer wearing a Cub Scout uniform shirt... As we watched, a lady & a man approached us asking us what we thought of the band? Music? Stage presents? Etc.. Later that night finding out those people were from a record company... Well, the rest is history.

Great stuff Adam; been a fan of Weezer since 1994 when I first heard Undone and Buddy Holly - I actually bought my first Strat to learn the rhythm parts of that song. To go full circle, a few years ago my daughter was excited to tell me about a "new" group she found that had done a cover of Toto's Africa - as soon as I heard it I knew her new group was very familiar :-) . Weezer reminds me of The Smithereens, with their later success with covers and finding new audiences begore Pat DiNizio passed away. Also, seeing the Patsy Cline star reminded me that her grave is near Winchester Virginia - just curious if you visited there when you did the tour of her home? Her gravesite is in one part of the cemetery, but there is a more centrally located bell tower memorial that Loretta Lynn and Dottie West helped pay for which plays some of Patsy's songs each evening around 6pm (approximate time of her plane crash in TN). As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge and trips with us.
