Finding Paradise it would be interesting to see how much the prices have changed after 2 years. When I do go to Bantayan, I would be with my wife and two kids. Hopefully they don’t get restless with the travel.

Another great video Rob , lots of good info and video shots . I really like Bantayan , even though not loads to see and do there .Great place to relax, and cheap to hire a scooter to look around . Great beaches and not expensive to eat out at night. Hope to go back for a third visit soon .

It is. I was planning to go back in April before all this COVID19 stuff hit. I wanted to update the video as I did this over 3 years ago. Great place to take your fiance.

A big thank you for your list of favorite resorts. I've been trying to find a place to stay in for days now, but the staggering number of resorts to choose from is quite overwhelming. Now I know where to go. Total sidenote - My mom's family is actually from Bantayan, but I haven't been there in 25 years. I feel a little sad that although my family roots are there, I don't even know my way and you seem to know the place better (I'm feeling jealous) :D ! Your videos have inspired me to at least plan to visit more in the future.

Thanks, Bantayan Island is my favourite island in Cebu. I love heading up there. Hope you will get the chance to go back. New resorts are always popping up. With Boracay closed for a while more people may choose to travel to Bantayan. I've done more reviews of resorts in Bantayan in more details if you need extra info. Just search through my channel. I lived 7 months in a 3 bedroom(needed only one lol) house 10 minutes walk (maximum) from Kota beach . rent was "only" 15.000 pesos a months! Bantayan island is a beautiful place

on another vid guy shows his house across the street from beach he rents for 4000php, not sure what beach he is at but 4000 seems awful cheap. is it possible?

Well for me, yes. Everyone is different though. When you mean close to the airport are you meaning on Mactan? I've travelled with a suitcase many a time. Obviously it's it little bit awkward at times to travel with, but nothing too difficult.

I think it's more down to personal choice, what I like might not be necessary what you like. There's also budget to take in consideration. For me I like Kota, Ogtong Cave, Anika and Hoyohoy. I like to be on the beach. You can check out my channel I go into more details on each resort. Maybe you can see if you like staying at one of those resorts in Bantayan. Generally most resorts have WiFi, some are just in public areas. Cheers Rob

No I don't think I would go in Holy Week to be honest . I went in January after Sinulog , Liked it so much , went back in July . Any idea how much the flight there from Cebu is Rob ?

Yeah Sinulog is so much fun. I'm not sure about prices I just check when I travel. I just fly with Cathay because I love making a stopover in Hong Kong for a few days.

Message this resort. facebook.com/victoryseasidehome/ they used to have wheelchair friendly rooms when it was called st Bernard's. It's new owner now. They had done some renovations so I can't conform that anymore.

Dude, I really enjoyed your video. Its detailed for the foreigner. Am looking for another place to stay due to boracay's woes. Frankly put bantayan's beaches are far better than boracay, from your video.

Thanks. The sands are not as fine as Boracay. When the weather is good it looks amazing. It's less developed than Boracay and more laid back and that's what I love about Bantayan Island.

In Santa Fe there are some small stores. In Bantayan town, I didn't really look around or need a supermarket so I can't say for sure, but there would definitely be small stores.

Very sub standard accommodation, facilities in all rooms youve shown look very very poor. Okay location on alot of these is very good, with the beach on your doorstep but i would say all these are backpacker standard. When compared to the standard of thai beach location hotels, these don't come close and this has certainly put me off visiting

Nothing luxurious. I wouldn't say they are poor though. Not familiar you are with the Philippines, but maybe look at Bohol which is near Cebu. They have some nice beaches and more upmarket resorts.

Its pronounced bantayan as in eye not ay . So its bant"eye'an island . Listen to locals talking not foreigners. 😉👍

Bantayan island is terrible....stay away...don't go....you'll hate it...LOL..haha
