Sukhumvit Soi 11 is the place to stay, if you want to be in the centre o all the night life activities. Pratunam is good as it is more quieter and more family friendly, and is only down the road (1.2km) from Siam Square and the ratchaprasong disctrict. If you want to stay in 5 star, western chain, this is closer to Siam Square, where most of the popular shopping malls are located.
The best area in bangkok is Lung suan rd .
Thank you for excellent video.

One of the key things in Thailand and Vietnam is to find a quiet hotel room because of the noisy motorcycles outside until late at night.

Very true! The First couple of times i have lived in Bangkok near the BTS, even on the 11th or 12th floor the BTS skytrain and the motorbikes were very noisy
great video mate....what's the name of the condo by the bts in Onnut shown in the video?
Thanks for a video so nice
Bangkok has changed so much in recent years. Sukhumvit S11 is almost exclusively middle eastern and south asian these days. Soi Cowboy is nasty, basically a loser street. On Nut used to be a backwater, now it's thriving. I like the riverside but it's isolated and you can rack-up taxi fares. Best to stay near the rail lines. Terminal 21 worth a visit.
This is helpful info. I'm planning my 45th bday trip for Aug 2024 with a bunch of friends and still trying to figure out where to stay in Bangkok. I'm splitting 10 days half in Bangkok and half in Phuket. I'm struggling trying to find places. I was looking at Skyview hotel or Bangkok Marriott what you think about those places? Are we in walking distance to food markets, the mall, other entertainment? For Phuket I was looking at either Marriott resort & spa Merlin Beach or Centara Grand Beach Resort, what you think about either of those? I would like to stay on the beach but I want the property to be entertaining with a nice room, like a swim out .
Great video is there a similar video for Chiang Mai

Sorry we do not have a video for Chiang Mai, but would love to make one in the future
So the markets, restaurants, bars, etc are open 24h in Silom?
I personally like Ari, it's a little out of the main hussle and bustle but still has plenty to offer.

Definitely! I was deciding between Ari and Silom as the final area but Silom has a very very slight edge because it is more conveniently in terms of its location but Ari is great and quiet and has loads of great food
Hi 👋 … in your opinion … when do think is the best time to visit Bangkok ?? Thanks 😊

November till March is usually the high season in Bangkok and Thailand, raining season usually stops at the end of October, but with the fluctuation of weather all around the world its not 100% guaranteed. Usually November till Late Feb is the coolest months with temp sitting around 25C to 30C, Christmas and new year is incredible in Bangkok!
Tha k yoh for the video. When you say "riverside" which neighbourhood on the riverside is good? I like this video. But i am looking for an airbnb and i cannot seem to translate this video into an actionable form. Bangkok is so big! I am trying out to figure out somewhere to stay for the next month and cannot find the right neighborhood. I wish there was like a guide service. Do you provide consultations? Like a phone call for example? For dummies such as myself. Lol.

Don"t stay at the riverside, it is not convenient to use the MRT or BTS. Google "Bangkok MRT & BTS map" find an airbnb within walking distance to one of the stations. Their MRT & BTS lines cover almost the whole city. Staying at Sukhumvit and Silom areas is easy to travel around the city

actually, there are mrt stations (e.g. Sanam Chai Mrt station) and BTS station ( Saphan Taksin station) and other stations in the riverside area, plus there are many river boat taxis and tourists boats that runs along the river, which is a great form and fun transportation
5:56 Can anyone tell me what the food is shown at this time, it looks delicious and I want to try it!

It’s way way too expensive to fly to BK. It cost me less than $500 to fly round trip from LA to BK in 2019. Now, it’s about $1200 to $1500 RT if flying in Nov/Dec.

@@CalleP413 Yeah, I flew with China Eastern in 2019 for under $500RT from LAX to BKK.
I wouldn't stay at nana area. All the street worker can get aggressive. Some hotel let them in with their customer. Its also very, very loud

You missed the ABSOLUTE best neighborhood in Bangkok...and I mean the BEST!!! I am glad you did... Lets keep it more secret :)
Nana in BKK looks more like an Arabian than a Asian area.
