Where to Live in Oklahoma City: Edmond, Oklahoma Map Tour

Where to Live in Oklahoma City: Edmond, Oklahoma map tour and driving tour. Are you moving to Oklahoma City but you don’t want to LIVE in Oklahoma City? Don’t you worry! There are lots of cities right next door and Edmond, Oklahoma is one of them.
Edmond’s tagline is “A great place to grow.” I’m going to take you on a map tour through this city. I’m going to show you what’s there, what’s not there, how far you are from everything, and drive you into some neighborhoods, as well to get a feel for your housing options. By the end of it, you’ll be able to decide for yourself if you agree with this tagline or not and if this is place you could see yourself moving to.
I am not trying to steer anyone and I fully support Fair Housing

    Just found you! We are considering moving to OKC from CA. This was very informative. Thank you so much.

    That West Edmond area on OKC utilities sounds intriguing. Any possibility of you doing a video showcasing that area and any new developments there?

    Sure! I'm working on a video comparing east vs west Edmond, but I can make one on just west Edmond. I'm not very quick with getting material out since real estate is my full-time job, so feel free to message if you want more info quicker 🙂.

    What do you think of Choctaw? We're getting stationed at Tinker and Edmond just seems a bit far away with traffic

  • @movingtooklahomacity

    @movingtooklahomacity

    Жыл бұрын

    I like Choctaw, but depending on where you live, it's nearly a 25 minute drive to Tinker's main gate because you'll have to sit at a stop sign through at every mile block. I used to live south of there, but I was close to the highway and it only took us 10 minutes. Depending on how south in Edmond and/or how close to I-35 you live, the drive wouldn't be much different.

    Absolutely! I'm working on a video like this for each of the cities I covered in my OKC Metro map tour video, but gathering footage is a slow process, unfortunately! Depending on your timeline, if you want information sooner, feel free to call or text me at 405-916-7871 and we can chat more ☺.

    Are there any places where the kids can walk to school. High school

  • @movingtooklahomacity

    @movingtooklahomacity

    In Edmond, yes, there are. There are currently three high schools in Edmond and all could be a walkable distance if you choose to live in a nearby neighborhood. Also, Edmond has a great busing system for their public schools at no additional cost to users outside of taxes. My kids use the bus and love it!

    I’m moving to Edmond next summer; would like to buy a new construction in best school district. My sons are 13 & 11 (so middle to high school) It would be nice to have either a backyard pool or community and a little bit of space around house (not so close where you can hand neighbors a food plate from window to window)

    My sons are 14 and 11 (almost 12) and I live in Edmond, so I think I can relate to what you're looking for. If you're comfortable doing so, why don't you call or send me a text at 405-916-7871. You can also email lauracanedyhomes@gmail.com. It requires a better conversation than what I'm able to reply with here!

    Jay, OK is nearly three hours away from Edmond, so it's well outside my market. It's in the middle of nowhere and there are about 2500 people living there.

    If you are looking to relocate to Jay, consider looking for Information regarding Grove and Grand Lake. Jay is just a few minutes south of Grand Lake and there is definitely affordable land and properties.

    That all depends on local ordinances and whether the size/weight of the vehicle whether it's used for commercial purposes, etc. If you own land and you're in the right county, quite possibly!

    Is it possible to buy a home with only contract jobs.

  • @movingtooklahomacity

    @movingtooklahomacity

    Жыл бұрын

    Absolutely! A lender will need two years of tax statements, proof of down payment, they'll run a credit check, etc. This will help them determine how much you qualify for and at what interest rate. If you would like contacts for a couple great lenders, please let me know! It can absolutely be done!
