Glad you also pointed out about the third party sellers on Amazon through their market place - no amazon refund policy, no free shipping to prime customers, etc. I like CK Modelcars and am also buying from there when I am in search for new models. Their deals are also interesting. If there is a newsletter for a good deal then it happened a few times that suddenly my collection increased again. Yet I had no problems with them. Good packaging and yet all models were alright. Also I like they are showing the model cars from different angles and also place information what you can open. The Modelissimo webshop is looking really old as you can tell :-D Yet I haven't bought from them. But I know the owners are the people behind the brand KK-Scale. So for sure a company to trust. Model Car World is also a good address - probably the most stuff in my collection is from MCW. They just once pissed me off for one shipment. They also run the ebay store with the name Merge-Left - also a very good place because certain models are piling on stock and so they decide to sell them on auctions. So I got certain models for the price I was willing to pay for that particular model (and surprisingly even lower). I am also always surprised to see these 15 bucks Maisto models on American channels. Here we have to pay our 40 Euros. But of course you have to keep in mind that the prices in the US doesn't include VAT as they do here. But well, it won't be 200 % VAT :-D My local Drogeriemarkt Müller doesn't have a huge collection of diecast models. Also 1/24 is not my favorit scale - I am more into 1/18 and 1/43.

When buying diecast cars from Aliexpress, there's two things you need to keep in mind: 1) there's no paypal, so it'll be your card only but they have their own buyer protection system 2) you can't combine shipping as oftentimes, sellers artificially lower the expenses of the car model so that it shows up earlier in search results, and rely on part of the shipment cost to cover the expenses

Great Video, it was great for me coming from Germany but living now in New Zealand things are tough to get here for cheap prices. Mainly because most Toy stores have only Jada. I was happy to see that many European Stores ship to NZ and when you but a few cars it comes much cheaper when compared to Aliexpress. Your videos are great and a big help.

I got a question if you're reading this comment:) - I recently started collecting diecast cars and unfortunately in Denmark we dont have dedicated diecast stores. However, i sometimes travel to Germany and i find these 1:64 scaled hotwheel/matchbox models in some 1 euro shops. Can you recommend a brand/store thats a dedicated diecast store other than Müller (Preferably in Northern Germany)

i'm afraid you will have a hard time finding physical stores in europe that belong to some kind of bigger chain like costco or sam's club in the usa. there is always one or two diecast stores in a city but these are privately owned and have their own names and it depends on the city. personally i always buy online from the stores mentioned in the video, and ck modelcars does have 2 physical stores in germany in different cities, one in frankfurt and one in berlin.

In 2004 I was on vacation in Western Australia and just took a look into a Target in Perth - they also had a very nice department with diecast models. Not sure if it is still like this but you may check it out. At their webshop they're definately offering certain models in different scales from well known brands such as autoworld, Maisto, Greenlight,...
