I'm glad I remembered this comment existed because the formatting was absolutely horrendous. I've fixed it now. Edit: also added the last bit of lyrics that I just noticed were missing

Want to feel old? Roll first debuted in the original Mega Man on NES, though like with Mario's first appearance she hadn't been given her final name yet (and in fact, Roll was not named at the time). This was in 1987 (33 years ago as of this writing), and may very well make Roll gaming's first imouto ('little sister' character).

Shows good attention to detail. Certain instrumentals sound better with certain voices.

This song never gets old. Why is Roll so awesome?

This seems like a more mature version of the song, i like it as much as the japanese version. its a good ending theme as well for Roll. seems like it would play at the end of anime movie.

Props to the strongest Robot Master, who can take out the trash with her trusty broom. Even Zero needed either his Z-Saber or an iron pipe.

to be fair, that is clearly a combat broom, extra strength anti wily grade model to boot.

I actually love this song in English version as well as Japanese version! Both of their voice makes me feel calm and peaceful...very nice:)

Me too. Guess what. I first played it in 2004 when I was 14. I used to try to fight the Roll's hidden stage whenever I played this game back then. Simply because of this BGM. The character designs and stage backgrounds are very eye-catching and impressive. I love this game series to pieces.

I know this comment is 5 years old, but in several images and even in a few games, it's hinted that she may have feelings for Rock. Other games downplay it though. Just thought I'd comment on that.

I throught the same thing, I thought she has crush on megaman rival bass. not her brother, well I guess is brother and sister love with capcom sake in japan.

Normally these ENG voiceover songs may have a negative perception in my head. However, this is something I can label as an "eye-opener". Still, as much as I applaud this version, the JP version is still my fav for some reason.

Detective X Shaman Perhaps, but if I'm listening to something I can understand, even remotely, I will prefer it to something I don't. The JP version sounds great tho, it's just a matter of preference.

I found this incredible English version about 13-14 years ago. Still a hit on my playlist. lol Kind of a wonder if you ask me! I personally feel it even surpasses the original Japanese version without doubts - for the singing tone full of longing and hopes, and more meaningful lyrics. That said, I cant imagine why little girl her age would sing like a 20 something woman. lmao

@LastRambo341 Beat Arcade mode and make sure Roll gets the last hit again the final boss. This song will play during the credits instead of the usual credits music, and you'll control Roll during the credits mini-game instead of Doronjo.

This is just a great example , even if you write different lyrics , as long as the overall theme (Although Remixed or what not ) is still there , you can still keep the spirit of the original music alive and still create something just as enjoyable. (Rather than just completely replacing it with completely different music outright. I prefer see another take than a complete replacement. )

I don't blame Capcom for changing it. I'm much more upset at the lack of character themes, but licensing can be a bitch.

A lot of songs sound translated, and it always feel odd and I can never get too into them. This, doesn't suffer that too much, but the original was too hard to top so this is a B version to an A+ song, in my opinion.

Well, it isn't a bad adaptation. I prefer the Japanese version though, it just sounds cuter to me.

Kinda sad that both Japanese and English of Where the Wind Blows weren’t added in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

When I heard this for the first time after beating the game in roll I thought it was absolutely horrible. However after hearing it on youtube its not as bad as I imagined, however the orginal Japanese version is better, and I would argue that the English version of the TvC opening is also better than this.

I prefer to use the 4Kids English Dub of One Piece it kills them much faster

the one problem i have with this is that roll is a little girl and this is clearly a grown womans voice. im glad they didnt go with a squeaky mouse voice but this just doesnt seem to fit. its still good though
