    Wiley, what is that lick you did at 1:30?

  • @Realcls

    @Realcls

    Index on second string, first fret. Little finger on first string, third fret. Hammer on the second string at the third fret with your ring finger while playing both strings together. Hope that makes sense.

  • @zacharylane817

    @@Realcls Yes I got it. Thank you! You sure it's not hammer onto second fret with ring finger?

  • @Realcls

    Zachary Lane For this lick, he’s hammering on the third fret. But you can use your middle finger to pull (or push) off at the second fret while keeping your index on the first fret second string and your pinkie on the third fret first string. This basic position can be used for all kinds of licks. You can do about 100 variations of it in something like Clinch Mt Backstep alone.

    I’m pretty sure I’m hammering on from the second to third fret on the b string. I’m keeping my ring finger planted on the first string-third fret, and I’m keeping my index planted on the b string- 2nd fret. I double pick the low D string with my thumb before I hammer on and I hit the low D string with my thumb after the first and second hammer on.
