Where should Bromley strengthen for the season run-in?

Спорт

After Bromley recorded only their 5th defeat of the season this past Saturday (away at AFC Fylde) - some fans took to social media to express their desire for some squad reinforcements.
Machel Hewitt took a look at the current state of the squad and identifies where Andy Woodman should be trying to strengthen for the season run-in.

agree about Dej and Chin... also Miller is really really good. We saw him in person when we flew over for the Boreham Wood away match in November. Agree with mostly EVERYTHING you write and say! Must mean we're both brilliant!

I'm trying to be sanguine too! I'm genuinely NOT worried at all or a fair-weather supporter so to speak. Losses happen, undefeated records are made to be broken. I am very very proud of the boys. I feel they play better football than most teams they've played against this whole season. Just know Woodman will make a few creative tweaks. And we've got some players coming back into the squad. In America, we have Monday morning Quarterbacks! I think we were all Sunday Pub pundits following the loss. 2 draws and a loss will hopefully inspire the boys to fly and play "their" style of football with pride, resilience, and STRENGTH!

For me the concern is not the loss - but the subtle change in mentality since Xmas. Of course we may loose a game or two - and we may see some determination when we go behind but what is different for me is that we go behind too easily, early (concentration) and we do not seem to have the killer instinct to put teams away (not necessarily score wise but choking the other team for the rest of the match), you can see it when we do have momentum ( sitting back and loss of concentration ). It's as if we lack the belief that we are 2nd and that the layers have picked up a fan mentality that we are punching above out weight (imposter syndrome ). For me we are not punching - we have a great side, need some reinforcements, but what team doesn't and we are where we should be, but if we are to get the end result we need we need to be mentally bomb proof. Would love to know what Woodman is doing about that.

If we had lost to Maidenhead rather then Fylde would people be saying the same and would we be looking at it as let’s go back to basics or is it the recent draws followed by the loss at Fylde ?

I think the fact Barnet and Solihull both lost - albeit against different level of opponents just shows where the seasons is at, at this moment in time

I think we need an experienced centre full back and a play maker like we had when Ryan Stirk played for us.

Stirk wasnt really a playmaker per se - but he allowed the others to play.
