It will never be confirmed just as any other popular pairing in this game, because the company benefits from teasing their audience like this. Because they're fictional characters, they're drawings, a bunch of 1 and 0, you can do whatever the fuck you want with them and nobody will care. (I get it if you personally don't ship them, but just because you don't ship them doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't ship them, and if you still think that people shouldn't ship them because it's "not cannon" then go outside and get off the internet)
