Every iskall video is essentially a treasure. Sure its pretty rare, but its always guaranteed to be a 10/10 when it arrives. Iskall is a simple guy, when he's happy it really shows in the video and so you just feel this radiating aura of positivity. That real, not-faked and pure feeling of enjoyment is what has always made his videos so good to watch.

Bro although I agree with you, its still a job. Like you said "with lives and families the same as us" yes and Jobs. It's a bit annoying when people cry about being burnt out every other month. I'd prefer if they just said, look I wanted a holiday away from work. I can't just decide to take months away from my job as and when I please. I do agree with everything your saying but don't act like people are doing us a favour by uploading and that it's wrong for us to want content from people who's literal job It is to make more content. Id rather be playing video games for a living than having to fit bathrooms and central heating everyday in strangers houses but hey that's life I don't just stop every week because I'm burnt out 🤷. It's like cry me a river dude 🙄

@No name Well, it's a job, yes. But it's a job the creator chooses to have. Their only boss is themselves. You and I can't just take months off because we'd get fired. We (well, I) don't have the passive income to sustain. It's really possible that some of these creators have done well enough that they could shut their channel down and never work again. We may want the content, but nobody is obligated to give it to us. They don't owe us one single thing...we need to just be grateful for what we get.

There was the chaos at the beginning, then everything cooled a little and a couple of hermits took time off and now it feels like everyone's refocusing and getting back and we're going into a mega "part 2". Hearing about how multiple hermits were taking breaks mid season 9 was a bit of a shocker, but I'm happy it happened now than somewhere further down the line in a possibly worse state for the creator. I'm liking what you've lined up for the future, praying for vault hunters's success!

I'm honestly just happy that you're okay and figured yourself out! i genuinely love how transparent you where here, hearing creators speak of burnout as a common yet difficult thing that just *happens* is really a nice thing and im sure it makes many people seen seen c: its normal to get burnout, its okay to realize you're tired of doing the same thing over and over even if you have endless love for it, its normal to realize you can take a break and its normal to realize you want to take the path of new horizons :)

You only ever owe people what you promise them, thats how debts, contracts, promises, and owing things works. That being said, a few months could be considered soon, but being vauge only grants you so much leway. The whole modpack vs game thing is just linguistics, and pedantry. I've seen plenty of games with less effort put into them, but seen no modpacks with this level of effort or polish, the point should be that he could easily claim to be making the greatest modpack ever, but instead he instist on these linguistics. Dota's devs will say that dota was custom map and that dota2 was their first game. You don't just get to make claims and insist they are true, because you want them to be or you put in the effort so it might as well be true. It's not my intent to belittle his achievement of creating the greatest modpack of all time (not something he said. Im saying it. someone should) but he hasn't developed his own game from the ground up.

I'm seriously curious what you think making a video game means. you pick an engine that suits your idea, then you use that engine and sometimes other existing resources made by people to bring your idea to life by adding your own unique code, gameplay, assets, story etc. over it. with how big the scale of vault hunters is and how much it fundamentally changes how you play the game, why is there a difference between calling it a modpack or calling it a video game made using minecraft as a game engine? I'm just geniunely curious why people are so offended by iskall calling it making his own video game.

@@rumbleroar2 dota was a starcraft custom map thats just fact. Look into the blizzard dota lawsuit for details. Vault hunters is a masterpiece, being a modpack or even a single mod does not change the value or creditibility of the art, But being of high quality does not change the medium. Thats like saying a watercolor painting is so good that everyone must refer to it as an oil painting.

I have been a fan of your work for a while. You and the other hermits (like a lot of creators) worked so hard for so long for so many people. Between having colleagues on the server and countless fans I’m sure there’s an element of not wanting to disappoint people, but I am so incredibly thankful - on a human level - that you all have learned how to self-assess and care for your own well-being. I’ve gotten a lot of value and entertainment and joy out of your content. And even if this was your very last video, I think while people might be sad, they would still cherish what you’ve already accomplished. Sometimes people forget that there are real human beings behind the creator, and everyone needs and deserves rest; it’s unfair to you to deny yourself that time to recuperate. You’ve done such an amazing job building a community - one that benefits from your artistry regularly - asking for a small break is the least we can give in exchange. As a patron of your art, I’m glad to hear you’re coming back, but as one human to another, I’m even happier that you’re taking care of yourself. 🤘🏼❤️

I have been going through a burnout too and I know fully what you mean when you say you didn't even realise for a while. Now I am climbing back up step by step and it's great to see you feel better too! Take it slow man, so you can fully enjoy and love the things you do.

He ruthlessly cuts streams down to only the most entertaining and interesting parts and makes a KZread video out of a whole game. Quality over quantity, without all the down times and faffing about of streams. Streams are still very fun content, don't get me wrong but it's a lot of time to watch!

Being one that has been in a similar position. I think you are really strong to come out like this about how you felt and how you feel. Be well and you ate an inspiration to us all.

I work in the game industry at a triple A studio, congrats on your success you're doing quite well! The fact that updates come at a promised and well developed interval shows you are managing the development cycle well. I love the game!

Why would you disappoint us? I'm always happy when a new video comes out and always excited when I finish for the next one to come out. Thats a lot of the fun, knowing that any video you put out will be enjoyable, so if I have to wait a little or a lot longer, it will be worth the wait. Take as much time as you need, we all know that you're still there, we all know what burnout is(if you say you don't, you're lying). I'm actually currently burnt out on mincraft as well, so it makes me feel a little better that it does happen even to someone that is so immersed in the game like you or mumbo. It gives me a little hope that I can come back to loving minecraft as I once did.

Do whatever you wanna do man, take more breaks if you want. I really like vault hunters and ive seen all your series on it but im excited to see what you'll do in the future!

You are one of my favorite hermits and it just has not been the same without you. It has been a strange season, I hope everyone takes a good break for season 10 and that hermitcraft is more like seasons 6&7.

Prouf of you that you took the needed time. I will be watching all your videos. Take your time and don't feel presured for weekly schedule. Great work man.

As someone who has been playing Minecraft for many, many years. I can understand how burnout will just sneak up on you. It can be hard trying to find inspiration after it hits you. Glad that you are doing fine, can not wait to see you come back!

I was thinking the same, but I have a feeling that the current season of Hermitcraft will end a couple months after Tango is done with building Decked Out. So maby Iskall is just waiting for the next season so start.

That is very possible since they normally last around 18 months and we’re about at month 16/17
