I don't know that I believe everything that they do on those rebuilds especially time frame when you see guys like Matt Armstrong and realistic time frames.

You can feel how this guy was tiptoeing his statements when he started talking about the GZ R8 (06:00). Trying to be careful and sending indirect messages on how the car was a terrible repair probably coz they wanted to install new parts and new tech while GZ said just repair the necessary parts. Better check their customer satisfaction.

Pretty sad they’re so quick to bash the rebuild the guys did, rather than check simple suspension components.

Right, imagine ripping a 1000hp car before checking alignment when they were asked to check alignment

If they would have even attempted to do the alignment as they asked they would have found the loose control arm bolt. Such a simple fix But why did it take so long?

Now that we see the Goonzquad video. What’s the deal with all the loose stuff in the rear?

Shoulda just got it sent it back to them and not posted a video. Having someone’s car for 2 years is a bad look for your business period. People won’t look at the details of why but rather just see the time.

Man, you guys did the boys dirty. Had it two years didn't do an alignment sent it back filthy and then talked shit. On top of that, they didn't have anything bad to say about you in return and they are some kids.

Unbelievable how did you not investigate this , there would be trust issues from any future clients after this video / goon squads

Goonzquad gave you that car one year ago . Cars devalued by $ 10 -15 K since.

😂 your a good salesman. Fix trans. 10K. What you need is 20K in engine management to replace something that isn't broken!

Figured with how long it’s been gone they would have opted to just have you fix the entire car and install your turbo kit that’s very disappointing

It’s refreshing to see competitors in the industry not kick another shop while they’re down but instead leave it to what it should be. Different ways of doing things, not wrong but not personally preferred. We work with Alex on occasion and try to service any local sheepey customers/builds and help Alex when we can. 🫡

It took them a YEAR to add motec. Then sent the car back with damage and loose bolts. Also the way this dude talks tells me all I need to know about their shady company

Goonzuad guys are awesome

Happy to see ole’ 211 back on the road. Hopefully they figure out what is tweaked chassis wise making it pull around with power. Also we run our lower power small frame turbo setups AOS up direct to the intakes and never had an issue with crank case problems, just hate having a mess of check valves, an added failure point, or a catch can. the turbo intake’s even under idle/low load pull plenty of crank case pressure if not more than factory. But to each their own, hope the new location is working out. Massively jealous with that clean room you guys have over there.

Great content and I’m digging that boom box as a popper myself! Real sketchy on the Goonzquad car, I wouldn’t drive it hard until that issue is corrected.. I’ve driven one and they are indeed fun cars. As for the Goonzquad I love their content. For me it’s that they TRY.. methods are sketchy but they try.. I been sitting on my Honda for years with mods and parts, scared imma mess something up. They are really young and have a bright future. I thought I was a graphic designer until I actually became a professional. My work in the beginning was promising but definitely not where I am today. It takes time, trial and error. Something I’ve learned. So to me what they’ve done in a short time frame is amazing. I do wish they hire a professional for to help with certain builds not just framing, but there is learning in error. Not sure who the new guy in their videos are but hopefully he’s helping with that.

You call it a death trap Yes your correct at that point it is But what shop would to a trans out rebuild and then not double check the car if it shot all over the road under acceleration and backing off before slating the customers car The lower control arm bolt being lose and giving the car rear stering would cause that But who undone it last yourselves or goonzquad Either way would have thought it would have been picked up by yourselves as surely after major works and the car in your care for so long a full chrck over of the car would have been carried out before returning it to the customer

You did a really sloppy job with this car. It stayed with you for 1 year and you didn't ever thought of checking for lose bolts? If I were in the Goonzquad boys shoes I would like a refund and even a compensation for devaluating the car for just sitting in your shop and not even bothering to check stuff

Over a year later. Quoted we want the R8 to be fixed right we Trust Alex so we sent it Sheepy Racing. My concern is Alex has years of experience with these built super cars. Night and day commentary styles. However you can't hate on him. He found something that works and many seem to like. He has done quite well for himself. I often wonder how long creators such as him can keep the KZread "careers" going. Would be interesting to know the average age of subscribers.

Talks like he's wired outa his butt and I can't stand his little hand going crazy all over the screen. He's just extremely annoying and i dont like people that portray a false character for the screen. Its just not for me. I had to guess I'd say a large portion of his viewers are kids or teens.

Granted, I’m 26 now and started watching when I was 18/19 so I’d say I just grew out of the KZread stalking as I got older, went to college, started living my own life. Now I can barely watch any of his stuff because of how hyped he is. If it’s genuine I’m stoked for him but being an adult now I’m like… ain’t no way you’re just this hyped up all the time ahah

A little birdie told me they swapped parts on it and completely ruined the goonsquad r8. And it apparently has a ton of electrical issues.

Let’s just pump them out, and deal with it when we have a problem. We initially did help get it running again remotely. But weren’t in the position or mindset to give anyone the “KZreadr special” we offered what we could including new wheels for the car 🤦‍♂️ Just happy to see it again, all the decceniums we’ve built have a special place in our hearts we can’t get enough tan intake manifolds 😂

So you had the car taken apart to repair the trans, and you take it for a test drive and discover something isn't right. Instead you say "fu*k it.. The trans is fixed and it has motec, send it back". Brutal. Instead of standing around talking about your merch, you could have taken it for the alignment like they asked, found the loose suspension and fixed it. You didn't even wash the car! Brutal customer service on your end. And then you bad talk Goonzquad. Insane!
