I-

This really reminds me of an extremely wierd dream I had. I were an adult, along with some other adults. All were female. I'm in some nursery. We are sat on blue chairs. There are foam shapes everywhere. The floor seemed to be jigsaws. These teens, about 15-16 come in and start singing. They push us out. We walk down a hallway, and we enter some candy land. It's neon and colourful. The path is lined in chocolate. We have to jump over pancakes to get to the other side. We get stuck and the dream ends. This is rather normal for me, all my dreams are a tad odd.

dreamcore is honestly a way to disconnect, you just sit down, and disconnect listening to the pleasingly unsettling music and doze off into your dream place, and accept that humanity sucks

It was a rainy night and your parents went out to dinner together you expected them to not be out for too long but when you went downstairs they weren’t there ? What ? Mommy/mommy daddy/daddy mommy/daddy ? Where are you ? You checked all over when all of a sudden you saw a door ! It looked cool so you went inside of it, but it led to an empty hallway ? It seemed endless so you kept walking, eventually you met a nice girl ! She had an angel thing for a head ! And a nice dress ! She was super cool ! This was her home so she showed you around to the playground outside ! You two sat on the sea saw together ! She was really nice :) you felt safe with her ! She let you stay with her and called you her friend. You liked that, it felt nice.

The first/thumbnail image reminded me of a dream I had in preschool or kindergarten. I had a classmate who was a girl with black hair like that, and in the dream I went to her house for a playdate. In real life I had never been to her house and I don't think I was really friends with her at all, so it was a bit weird to dream about her. But I felt very warm and happy in the dream, like I was at home. I remember waking up and crying because I had to leave that dream. For some reason seeing that picture and hearing the music brought back those emotions and I cried. I miss being a kid

I had a similar dream about a week before. It was about a girl who became my girlfriend. And the most mysterious part is that I don't even remember what she looked like. Or where she was from, or anything like that. All I remember is that we were extremely compatible I guess.

I kinda feel like I'm desperately trying to wake up, but the dream won't let me leave

My closest ... “friend” told me that 3:16 reminded him of me, and that he wanted to sing it to me. He’s currently battling an abusive household and I’m very far away from him at the moment, so I’m absolutely powerless, and I have had no contact from him for four days now. I’m scared and I miss him, but this music helps me relax and feel a sense of at-homeliness and comfort. It’s very confusing I know, but it works, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this.

listening to this while drawing a childhood nightmare hits different

when i listen to dreamcore i feel safe, i lose all sense of everything and I'm just in a state of inner peace? odd isnt it? yet i keep coming back and it brings me a good yet weird feeling of comfort.

my family isnt home a lot so, this image is how i feel a lot being alone, just thinking "where is everyone? what happened?" it gets lonely fast but i get used to it with these comfort songs, so thank you!

44:33 gives me the chills… the zoom in, the quiet and slow music box.. The fact that I’m a fnaf player makes me surprised that I’m even a tiny bit frightened. I’m also a very jumpy person and I get scared easily.

The title makes me think of a dream I had. I was in an unfamiliar room that felt familiar at the same time and I was calling out, “Where is everyone?” but got no answer.

Dude i had a dream in the first photo, there was a gurl, i belive dirty blonde hair, wearing a faded pink nightgown, she told me to follow the light, as i was following ‘the light’ i saw how i really look, not physically, but more emotionally. I saw how i perceived myself, surrounding my head were thoughts of worthlessness, ugliness, shame, and more. I felt somehow calm and warm looking at ‘myself’, there the girl said ‘this is it’ i fell down as my world faded away, i felt as if i was floating. I woke up about 30 seconds later panting, there were firemen and my etire family freaking out, it turns out i had started coughing, and died for about 1 minute.

i always have these types of dreams where im alone in a random house but not my house. I start walking to check if im really alone, which i am, when the 'end' of the dream is coming someone appears in front of me and kills me with a axe, it was always an axe. I always wake up and see that my pillow is soaked in tears and my eyelashes are wet. My therapist asked me what dreams i have and i told her the one i have nearly all the time, and she told me i have separation anxiety. I still have this dream and it seems to not go away.

I have really similar dreams but instead I’m in some sort of forest all alone and in the freezing cold and when the dream ends i always see a copy of myself and kills me with a knife I años wake up with my pillow soaked in tears but I never told anyone because I’m already known as the weird and lonely kid who no one likes

I usually don’t have dreams but if I have one I usually don’t remember them, but I remember a little bit of a dream I had when I was younger.. I don’t remember that much of it but one thing that I do remember was that I was stuck in a maze that I couldn’t get out of, and I remember that I couldn’t look back... even tho I couldn’t look back it felt like some or something was following me

Just walking around in a supermarket at 3am with no one by your side.. all alone.. suddenly a ghost appeared! You got scared and fell down scared as some things off the shelf feel down with and and so did your shirt's sleave that revealed a bit of you're shoulder. The ghost looked at you worried and sad as they said "no..please don't be scared of me.." and so the ghost sobbed softly, you were in shock as the ghost's tears ran through the floor and got in between the cracks of it.. you thought to yourself "oh no.. what's gonna happen now?.. is it the end?.." the ghost stopped they're soft sobbing and looked down at you and said "no..your not gonna see hell don't worry! My tears just run through the floor. It's normal when you become a ghost!. Now come on get up!" You looked confused like you always do. You looked up at the ghost and said "no way! Am I even in the right reality? Am I dreaming!?" Then you pinched yourself. But it weirdly felt harder then how easily you pinched it which was weird but you didn't care.. you got up softly as the ghost looked at you with a soft focus in their soft eyes.. not softend by pity but by comfortness. And so they say "what were you looking for anyways? Maybe I can help you? I used to work here before I died." You look at the ghost with a fascination and somewhat comfortable look that shows that you feel a bit safe somehow. The ghost flushed as they were divined by ur gorgeous looking eyes.. how big they were, how the light of the store shined on them and 3 whites on ur pupils appeared. "If I may ask. How..did you die?" You asked full of curiosity about it, the ghost looked at you with they're red and blue colored eyes as they said "I was.. murdered here." You were in shock again as you asked who killed them. "That.. I don't know.." said the ghost, as you are a very kind person and also brave (u rlly are!) You asked with a slight bit of temper in ur tone "well do you remember when you died?" As in asking what was the day, year and month they said June,19, 2019 You looked at the ghost sadly and said "well that's when my mother died.. uh! Anyways! Were there any cameras at all?" When you said the first part of you're sentence the ghost looked at you sad and said "I'm sorry about that..". "It's okay it's not to your worries anyways!" You said as you faked a small smile. Then you felt water being splashed on you from the top of your head, you yelled a bit in fear as you woke up in the hospital with your dad looking at you scared. You then looked at ur body and gave a small softt focus to what was around you.. you weren't wet, there were no ghosts, and there was no pinch on your hand. So u asked ur dad what happened and he said "our neighbor's daughter Jessica found you lying down on the super market ground alon with some blood around you but.. you didn't have any injuries..".... "wh-what?.. s-so th-that..they forgot to tell me their name...." You dad looked confused at you and asked what's wrong.. but ofc as always and like always.. you said nothing. END. edit: so uh small reminder!. Remember to take care of yourself and open up to anyone that ur comfortable too. Mwah! ♡♡♡ enjoy ur day night or afternoon 🫂🫂

i just decided to make this because i thought it would be cool lol- sorry if its long! first song pov (Strawberry Guy - Mrs Magic): you're parents went on a night out for your birthday, so you decide to throw a birthday party at your house, but no one comes. you sit there, waiting for someone to arrive. but it seems like you have been forgotten. second song pov (I dont want to set the world on fire - slowed version) : you go to the kitchen and think of what your birthday party would have been. you start hallucinating, and you think there are people, but its just a burning memory. third song pov (Snowy genocide rute - toby fox) : you decide to go sleep, knowing that tomorrow will most likely be a nice day. you go upstairs, thinking your parents will be home. you walk down stairs and realize.. no ones there. fourth song pov (Espial slowed version - Oliver Buckland) : you wait a day, but no ones home. so you think "maybe i should go outside, my parents wouldn't know, and maybe my friends will be at the park" you go to the park and everyone's gone. the music rises in tone to feel panic, knowing that everybody's gone. fifth song pov (Bleed DMG +6 - Antoje) : you decide to go to the mall, knowing that its a busy place. you think someone would be there, but everyone has disappeared out of nowhere. song 6: (OMORI OST - 004 spaces in between) you started to get lost and hallucinate of this room, knowing you cant think straight on how everyone's gone. you end up in a strange room, with nowhere to go. song 7: (Deep Swim - windows96) you seem to be in a flooded subway, completely lost of where your house is. you walk around, now knowing you are completely alone, and while you walk, you start crying. "everyones gone." you thought. you keep walking around, and you finally, find a train to take you back home from a long walk. song 8: (Not Allowed - TV girl) you get on the train and almost immediately, it starts moving. you fall asleep in the train. after you arrived at your hometown, you get out and once your outside you think to yourself, "wait.. who drove the train?" by the time you run back the train is gone. song 9: (mice on venus - c418) you walk around but its too dark to see. you find a park and decided to sleep on the bench and you realize once again, its empty, only with you and your thoughts. song 10: (Plasterbrain - Nimbasa core) you wake up at 6:34 AM, and the sun has already started rising, and just in front of you, there was your house. song 11: (Change your mind CASTLEBEAT) you seem to be at home, but this isnt what you remember. your head starts spinning like a top, thinking you got the wrong house. but the address was correct, and the house outside looked the same. you become scared. song 12: (ON TOP 3 - The girl next door slowed) you remember these stairs, the ones you would always play around with them. song 13: (Wonder egg priority ost - DEDE MOUSE) - you go upstairs to room, excited that maybe your parents might be there, but your room isnt quite what you remember. song 14: ( Smile for me ost - Lucas Saur) - you fell asleep in your bed, and once you wake up, you look outside, to see a rainbow. you're sad that no ones here, but now, you feel slightly happier. song 15 (Earthbound) - at night you go to your backyard, thinking there was a pool, and you cold go for a night swim, but nothing is as you remembered. you get scared. song 16: you go back into your house, and you see a shadow of someone, staring at you. You panic, but you just keep staring, trying to put your head on the thought, but you couldnt focus. where is everyone ?

Images of dreamcore just feel so........anxiety like. If I lived in one of the homes in that land it wouldn’t feel like home. It would more likely to feel like I’m stranded somewhere, all by myself in this home. On a street, with red letters above me reading “this is a dream” or “run” , now doesn’t that sound like a nightmare to you? To slowly go insane in a house all alone with red letters about in the sky saying “it’s just a dream” or “run”. With eyeballs on furniture, you would see more of that stuff the more you go crazy. Now, think truly. How would that feel?

@@ashedaces thanks for that man. sometimes its just hard to see stuff like this age and fall in obscurity even when i still enjoy it so much. theres a beauty to the fact that things will never be the same but also a sadness and gloom to that same fact. sometimes we wish we could go back because we recognize the past and thus it feels more safe and secure, we know it perfectly and have it in our hearts, this can lead to even worse parts in our lives being romanticized. the comfort of the known past makes us resent the coming future. But soon the future will be the past too. focusing on creating new memories to look back on fondly is what ultimately i think as a thought process that can help me and many others improve. but that will never. ever. take away or lessen the pain of witnessing the past decay and fall apart as everything goes on without it.

Dreamcore (or also known as a subcategory in Weirdcore) is an aesthetic that is based around bizarre imagery and objects. It heavily relies on nostalgic things, or places you feel you may have seen in the past. A large part of this aesthetic is based around Liminal Spaces, and the unnerving feelings that come with them. They can be disturbing, off-putting, or confusing to the viewer. Cursed images may be similar, but do not get them confused. Some Dreamcore isn't always unnerving, sometimes it could be a feeling similar to what you feel in your dreams, that includes the different categories that people feel in their dream's as well, (like warmth, nostalgia, loneliness, comfort, or greyness).

the images seem to tell somewhat of a story, even thought in reality they aren't connected, I get a story, as if one can see this girl walk out of her room and think about her family, she starts to think about them and imagine them waiting for her since it is a bit late, it's time for lunch, but she can only make out strange siluetes of who she believes are her family, something is off, she can't remember them very well for some reason, she then walks downstairs and finds the house empty, no one in sight, she wonders to herself "where is everyone?", she tries calling someone by shouting, anyone, but she gets no answer, after a while she gets worried and chooses to leave home and look for them herself, or at least ask the neighbours if something happened, maybe she tried using her phone, only to find it doesn't work, still, one way or another, once outside she finds out that the streets are strangely empty, no one walking outside, no one taking care of their front yard, there aren't even kids at the playground, she tried knocking on the door of a few houses, but there was no answer, as if they where just as empty as her own home. She continues only to find more emptiness, she wonders once again to herself "where is everyone?", it was like she lived in a ghost town, she then thinks "the mall, surely someone will be there", but to her surprise and dissapointment, the mall was as empty as the town, no one buying and no one selling, even if the place was open, it was absolutely quiet, she slowly starts to panic, she runs, she runs around the mall looking for someone, anyone, anyone at all, but she kept finding nothing, she kept running and went outside again, she saw a bus parked and with it's doors open and ran inside hoping to find someone at least driving, but nothing again... she takes a moment to breathe, she sits in the bus and thinks to herself again, "where is everyone?"... Eventually she gets up and leaves the bus, she then thought, trying to find some logic to all of this, "maybe it's all a bad dream!", so she decided to walk back home, she walked and walked and walked the empty streets that would be completly silent if it wasn't for her own footsteps, she kpet walking and walking until she finally got back home, she entered and walked upstairs thinking to herself "I just have to wake up, once I wake up, I'll be back home, I'll be okay, everything will be okay", she walked in her messy room and layed down, she stayed down thinking that it would be okay, she kept telling herself that over and over again unti, she fell asleep, then she woke up, the world was more colorful, she was at home, she was in her room, everything was okay again, she heard sounds coming from downstairs, she quickly stood up from her bed and ran towards the sound, but then, just like a rope giving up due to the weight, she snapped back into this empty and dark world, all that was the true dream, this was reality, she sits up, losing hope once again, she cries, her cries drowning the silence until out of the blue, a different noise was heard from outside, she stopped crying for a second so she could listen closely, was it true or was it just her imagination, the sound appeared again, she quickly got up, ran downstairs and got out into her backyard, the place the sound was coming from, but when she got there, neither the sound or whatever made it was there, that or it had been just the sound of a branch... she lost all the hope she had left right there and then, she slowly walked back inside, sadder than ever, she walked towards her room, but noticed the lights where on, she didn't leave them on, she didn't even turn them off in the first place, ever since she woke up the lights had been off... so she looked up and finally, she had found someone... or... it had found her... (congratulations if you made it throught this, I just thought maybe a story would go nicely with the playlist, specially with the "pictures" used in each song, I'll leave you with a question for you to end the story as a reward, who or what was the one she found or that found her...? what did it want... or what did it do... once the girl encountered it? that's up to you for reading my little story and remember, lonliness is more dangerous than you may think, so don't be afraid to ask for help.) [I truly hope I didn't have any spelling mistakes, that would make this quite less fun.]

i woke up in a grassy land as always. things are kinda different this time… but it’s okay. i’ll wake up again, i think… like usual, an old stylish car popped out of nowhere, and it’s free for anyone. but in this world, there’s only me… only me here… in this world, there are no bullies, no strict rules, no displeasing things. just me and the world. i just want to live here forever... but i can’t. sometimes things can be scary here. i just drive around my own world. there are always tons of free foods, but those foods never fill me. so i went to the amusement park, explored homes,... but i mustn't pick flowers in the forest, drink tea, and always come home when it’s 5 p.m. miss eyeball told me that when i first came here. she told me i’d regret it if i broke the rules. i’ve never seen her since then. it’s 4:59. i rushed into the silver lake to get home. the timer starts. 56, 57, 58, 59… oh no. i’m too late this time...

I have no idea why, but everytime I look at these photos, it unlocks a really old memory I had from my childhood that was deep down in my brain. It's so weird-

I've been looking into the similarities between dreams and liminal spaces; it doesn't surprise me that you'd have this sort of reaction. Dreams, as Freud states, have unconscious references to childhood memories which have been put away for us to find through dream analysis; many dreams can be based on childhood experiences. What's probably happening is that the locations being shown, in some form or fashion, are reminding you of memories that have been stored away deep into your subconscious.

I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes from strange dreams that I don't remember. All I know is that they feel familiar. Anyways. I always write down things that I remember or feelings I got from my dreams when I first wake up. Here are a few of those things that I feel fit this aesthetic. A really weird thing happened when I was younger- we went with family to MeowWolf, which is literally a large weirdcore/dreamcore labyrinth with an added mystery you have to solve. I was fourteen at the time and had a really bad, lifelong fear of aliens I got from the very vivid nightmares I've always had. I went in terrified of them, spent several hours in that weird, creepy, mentally disturbing place, and came out without the irrational fear. No explanation, I just wasn't afraid and haven't been bothered by them since

Sometimes I would have random dreams and I would see and visit places I've never seen before. Places that didn't exist. And I guess that's what this weirdcore stuff reminds me of. I always had a weird longing for these places and wanted to to visit them, even though there not real. These places made me feel things I've never felt before or maybe things I've only felt as a child. Sorry for rambling.

I think the worst thing that could happen to me is not death, but a memory slowly melting into paste, where the faces of once cherished people become a blank canvas. I got the feeling just from the First image, were the balloons make it feel like a birthday and am celebrating it with a friend or a love.
