I feel like Annie's lore was a bit permanently stuck in place, like she had a great backstory but there was nowhere for her to really go. This solves this in an incredibly awesome way. I'm also glad she seems to have semblance of friends.

What i really enjoy is that Tybaulk seems content with his relationship with Annie

Anne just casually walking around with a demon powerful enough to be mords right hand is insane. With a kind that can't be dominated and magic talent is rivaling feared monsters Annie has one of the biggest potentials in runeterra.

Man how fricking badass is Mordekaiser. He has two goddamn demons on his side, created his own kingdom in the death realm, basicaly said strait up NO to death. Man I just love this guy. Gonna be interesting how Riot will put it all together. I am particularly keen on the lore behind the two demons like how did Mord actually got them to fight for him or if they are still loyal to him after all those centuries. God i am so excited!

If you think about it tho Annie is basically controlling the same fire demon morde did. So either both are insanely powerful to do that, which is likely, or the demons are not on the same power level of other demons like eve, Kench, and certainly not fidd. But mordes power is too similar to Viego imo. Only difference is Viegos is bound by the mist, however recently he had gained so much Power to spread it over runeterra til he was stopped. And he was only stopped because his biggest weakness was the woman he was chasing which ironically was also his strength.

What's crazy is that Jared Rosen (Lead Writer for Demons and most skinlines) confirmed that Little Devil Teemo is, ironically, one of the most powerful entities across all of League. Putting him up there with the Dark Star (a sentient black hole that erases existence just by being there. While creating matter-devouring eldrtich gods). So yeah Little Devil Teemo is pretty terrifying.

So in a technically sense, Annie and/or Timbers are basically the Demon/Beast of Fire who fought with Mord. Wow, honestly that's a really good tie-in.

Damn, i love how much good LOR did to the lore of this word, we have cards representing creatures, demons and places of this world that help with the stories. Sure is cool imagining those things while reading, but some of those arts like the 2 beasts besides mordekaiser are so well done i couldn't imagine it any wey better haha

They (LoR) once released content for D&D 5e as well. A few sub-classes (that gives us some insight on the martial techniques of runeterra), some monsters stats (which sortof work as a encyclopedia of "enemies"), and whole adventure (didn't read it, but it definitely presents the look, feel and happenings of Bilgewater)

I love the way this explains the “troubled but sweet” Annie of the cinematic and the giggling psychopath we see elsewhere. She has enough enough will and raw power to resist possession, but she still has a demon in her head…a demon with a history of serving brutal conquerers. I think he’s trying to turn Annie into the next Mordekaiser.

Man im just glad Annie is finally getting something. Among the Mages, Demons, Warriors etc. she sticks out like a sore thumb. Little girl with cat ears... But they finally are doing something with her and that makes me happy. As much as I dont care about her, I want her to make sense lore whise.

@@Keurgui1 just because she could age a bit reaching her first highschool year, that wouldn't take away the fact she's still a child, 'cause she wouldn't be an adult yet. For example, in the lore, the reports about Rell when she escaped were still refering to her as a child, even though she is already 16 or so. So just aging a bit wouldn't automatically need a title change.

Instead of asking useless questions like where is Annie we should start asking the questions that matters like Annie are you OK? Are you OK Annie?

The voice lines when you play Annie and the conservatory students make them look like friends, not like people they fight each other to death.

I read this but, i'm always so glad to see Necrit post it. Love the lore reads and his outlook on it. I Stopped playing League long ago but the Lore keeps me invested. Hope they move Sion soon.

I wonder if jhin and Annie having so many interactions means that it is cannon that jhin knows about Annie somehow rather than just bc they were released together. Also if in a bear future riot does a big summer event with mordekaiser as the big bad guy, Annie with tybaulk and Rell with her metal bending must be part of it

Mordekaiser does tend to end up being the main villain for events and storylines (see Project and High Noon). Also Annie does not seem like the type of go full evil but I wouldn't mind if she did and joined up with Mordekaiser.

​@@nate9030 i dont think she would join morde she is not bad by nature she is a child and usually temped by the demon, but if Tybaulk can sense in Annie a hunger por power to even match his own who knows if he actually betrays his old master to join annie for good. I cant picture Annie and Tybaulk fighting morde but i definitely can and wish they do fight morde second demon, the shadow one.

I feel so stupid for not realizing that they were Annie's parents and constantly asking myself how the hole thing was connected to her. Really shifted some gears in my head and when it clicked it all made sense. I love to watch your videos even when I'm reading all the stories beforehand at this point. Clears up miss understandings or just summerises things well.

Its so cool to see a full explanation of tibbers and annie! This isnt related to noxus, but if anyone doesnt know, on the full splash of the petricte pillar card that just came out sylas can be seen! So maybe there will be a continuation to his story after he broke free!

The last that I heard about Sylas is that he was looking for the magic source in Freljord, teamed up with a tribe in it and tried to take control over Demacian castle on the north border but failed it (Warriors 2020). After that, there was no info about him

While I enjoy her new lore, it still bothers me how different conservatory Annie is from the cinematic Annie. How far apart are those two events? Because Annie's personality did a complete 180

prob a couple months to a year... esp since word had to reach the conservatory and then fynn wouldve had to go look for her and bring her back. By that time, the mental break of the incident,tybulk's whispers and dealing with all the random people good+bad wouldve warped her mental

a lot of time, maybe a year of annie surviving with the help of some good people, with her trauma of his dad crushed in front of her and tibbers shredding her step mom in self defense, with tibbers always killing anyone who tries to hurt her she may have noticed that tibbers only gets active if someone tries to hurt her, so to cope with her trauma and guilt she my have came to the conclusion that "maybe is ok to kill people if they are mean to me and is not a big deal, it is their foult not mine", kids can be stone cold and get over stuff faster than you might think, having a demon wispering on the shoulder can worsen it to. annie must have burned people herself, a good amount of people so that rumors about her(specifically her and not tibbers) sprouted and got talked about around towns, and then those rumors had to travel all the way to the conservatory, that takes time and coupeled with the time of fynn traveling to the north, searching for annie and then traveling back, maybe another year could have passed.. that is a enough time for someone to get messed up

Crazy how Annie kinda used to be Riot's mascot but we never really have much of her lore.. imo she should be rework to something new.. save the stun and tibber, that's who she is. Stackable Q like Veigar would be nice.

Interesting factoid about Tibbers with hindsight. Previously Fiddlesticks it was thought that Fiddlesticks said the demon’s real name when he was near them. But he never said Tybaulk’s real name, implying he doesn’t fear being controlled by others. Also, now that we know tybaulk is a demon as well Annie wouldn’t fear Fiddlesticks simply because it’s a demon possessing a scarecrow…because that’s literally what tibbers is if you replace the scarecrow part with a teddy bear. Also the “Annie help me.” and “Don’t let go Annie” lines actually lines up with how tibbers interacts with her, and not annie given this new lore…implying not even *fiddlesticks* could infest her mind…

I like was “most brutal being” was followed by Mordekaiser, like he wasn’t it.

i love how rell is this rebel with metal bending powers but in game she is a tank who sucks at her job and her theme isn't alligned to her playstyle 'oooooooh I'm a rebel and i need to link to someone to actually do something'

mark my words: mordekaiser got a world rune from the yordles and leblanc channels spirit magic by absorbing it from evelynn and fiddlesticks. also all of swains crows are not real, they are a illusion, but he can use them to see and hear. he uses spirit magic almost the same way leblanc does. so if a story mention crows it means swain is listening/watching.

Attakan is captured and trapped by Leblanc, remember. I thought you played Runeterra? cos one of the cards, his card even explains that, in which a dialogue between the two even have them talking where Leblanc says she will release him when he is needed

Hey Necrit if you got spare time please cover the lore of the tellstone cards from legend of runeterra i am very intrigued by their design and want to learn about their lore.

So glad they’re doing more with the Demons and the demon compendium

@@Renagade01 As of late, Necrit has covered only one champion per expansion. During the bandlewood expansion, he only covered Ahri's cards. Out of the four new champs in the latest expansion, Annie's cards have been the most interesting lorewise. So I figured out that he will choose to make a video about Annie.

I just installed Diablo Immortal in mobile, while waiting for its Data to download i play the video and I MUST SAY, THE STORY FELT WAY MORE SCEARY WHITH DIABLO SOUND TRACT. I enjoyed this video extremely do to this accident ❤️

I wonder if we will get Mordekeiser interactions with annie. Considering that he has lost his two "pets". Up until now, we didn´t knew about that (or I at least) and it would be interesting to see where this is going. With lb, morde and annie and the "pets".

As someone who has thought Annie needed a big lore update and maybe even a design update for a while because she never really fit, this was the perfect way to tie her to the story in some way. To MORDEKAISER, no less. But now I hope they add a voice line to Fiddlesticks in League where he says Tybaulk’s name like he does the other demons of Runeterra, like Nocturne and Tahm Kench

I do not know this story, but I'm glad I found it.

Fire, Metal, and Shadow... The odds of seeing a champion used to manifest Atakhan in a way or another sounds very likely at some point. Perhaps a new, perhaps an old champion who shares ties with the shadows. We have Zed with the box of course... and if they tried to inject the fire demon into people to weaponize it, would it be hard to imagine the black rose trying to do the same with him? I mean... I'd expect Riot to try and write Atakhan as a superweapon at this point, just like they did with Rell and Annie's mother.

Imagine an event with mord as the big bad and Annie along with the shadow thing being attached to Thresh. Mord being the main boss with 2 generals of destruction. The people who beat them would be Rell for mord, Vigear for shadow, and then brand for Annie.

I love Annie so many years ago. Know to she her expanded upon its great

Atakhan is trapped by leblanc, at least as he says in the interactions

I dont remember his lore that well and thought that Zed might be the other avatar. But, I thought zed was passing his shadow arts to others. I guess Zed could be giving disciples a drop of his shadow blood as an excuse though. If Zed has the shadow guy then wouldn't he have the same problem as annie? Are those two demons/spirits on the same level as Evelynn or alongside fiddlesticks? Is morde a malevolent King Solomon when he lived?

I'd imagine they're stronger than Tahm, noct, and Eve, but definetly not Fiddle. I'm really not sure how strong Tahm and Eve are really. they're definetly pretty damn strong no doubt, but we really don't have much evidence

If I'm correct the shadow of zed is from a forbidden technique hidden somewhere and zed forcefully stole it and learn shadow arts...... In simple terms just like how Naruto learned shadow jutsu, zed also learned his shadow thing the same way

@@Renagade01 in zed's comic it was shown clearly that he got his shadow control from a black liquid inside a crystal box because he wanted to fight noxus, close to the end of the comic the box is shown again but now half empty and in desperation his master drank the remaining liquid on a big chug and got transformed into a monster similar looking to what that shadow demon of morde. the liquid gives the power of shadows but is just raw power like a drug, zed was able to micro-manage the power over years of training and still he can only make some clones and some ninja shenanigans using shadows has deceit, his deciples are more limited without the liquid's power.

I would be very invested if arcane take place on those talented kid's schools for the noxus seasson.

Every day I am more sure that Morde could defeat and control beings like aspects, ascended and darkins, he literally has an elemental and a demon as pets, and a much weaker necromancer like Viego managed to defeat Pantheon without much effort.

Veigar casually being ignored in another mordekaiser-and-crew lore story. Damn man, lore for him is in short supply.

It would be nice if Rell was some sort of parent for her as currently Annie is just a devil's child. If that happened we could have them teaming up with Riven and maybe Yasuo or they could join normal Noxus (as not black rose) and story could be focused on destruction of black rose and end with reawakening of Mordekaiser.

I actually would like it if Atakhan was in Rell. It would explain some cool things, and have some interesting parallels. Imagine if the whole pants/horse thing was actually a manipulation of shadows or the like. Two different "methods" for Mordekaiser's beasts, each in a child tortured by Noxus that destroyed the conservatory that once housed them.

Next year's event wilñ be the comeback of Mordekaiser with Annie and ??? By his side, against Rell, LeBlanc(?) And the rest of the trifarix. Epic

I always thought that Ameline's sould fully went to Tibbers. From what I read years ago, Ameline has a fond of fire and when she was pregnant with Annie, she sewn Tibbers in front of a fireplace. Never knew there was a fire demon all along.

Wow, I really love this! Our little girl deserves more lore - that tie in with Mordekaiser especially with the fire demon is great! Jhin would be happy now that Annie is in school. hhh
