Sir, you are very precise at pin pointing the problem. Agriculture is a noble job but the we are moving is not proper. Lack of direct entery of farmer into the market, there has been constant increase in fertilizers price but the cost of raw agriculture product has been not increasing at the same rate. Lack of data is also one of the biggest challenge. Loan weiver will make no good to farmer Other than that there are lot other social problem which needs to be countered Thank you swaraj for bringing such highly important and sensitive topic.
the solution you imagined now is being in forced but heavily protested by farmers.
Swarajya is the best right leaning news source. All other right leaning ones are too afraid to criticise or too dumb to suggest. And the left leaning ones are too critical of everything. And both are bigoted, and fear monegerers. Swarjya stands out. I wish there were more great channels like this in both right and left leaning media.

Watch the swarajya's reporting on delhi riots. You won't say that it doesn't promote hate.
Real.problem is our politiciansa love farmers. U just nailed it..
Instead of switching to cereals from rice or wheat, we have to encourage indigenous gene modification technology to produce the same sugarcane, rice, or wheat that consumes less water.
Very good quality content!
A mistake in agriculture When many farms are created in one place at forest, say about 100 acres, we cut all the trees their, but that would make that area hot if all trees are cut down. So maybe we should have 1 acre farm, then 1 acre forest, then 1 acre farm, then 1 acre forest.
Hello sir Main problem in agricultural is import of agricultural in other country's also reducing crop price.
I didn't understand "higher support prices for the benefit of larger farmers at the cost of smaller farmers". Can someone please explain it to me?
Hmm very thoughtful and valid point.
Don't worry I'll fix these issues when I grow up ;-) 💪🇮🇳

@Gajkrupa 2020 nah I am going to be an entrepreneur ;-)
Well though I don't agree with few points pointed out in this Video, few expected points are also missing. But overall it covers many important points that government needs to focus on. Great keep it up. On a lighter note we can't shift from Paddy and Sugarcane cultivation 😂😂. It's a different problem.
put the links of previous videos too in the description.
Well structured and brief
Late Sharad Joshi said exactly what u say..

Litrely prefect excellent video plz don't stop I have also got ans of my question from this video thnx ☺️
Thanks for highlights your problem, but our people will make it end with politics
One of the major issues could also be lack of awareness. For example:there are number of farming techniques and methods different from traditional ones but farmers lack knowledge. They lack information as of which crop best suit their soil as per changing climatic patterns. For which I. believe village to village campaigns are need of hour to educate these farmers and tell them practically how to make compost and how is it going to be more effective than chemicals !Not only this they can be educated about variety of things associated with their farming. I believe its Farmers right to get earnings which could be equatted to their hard work!!🇮🇳🇮🇳
Would population stabilization in the farm sector have helped?
It is all too fine to conserve water resources as they are being sucked up by crops prone to large water consumption. But these very crops contribute cereals and pulses which make up our staple diet. How do we balance this tricky paradox is where judicious resource planning is needed. Can NITI Aayog along with Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Ministry of Water Resources put their heads together and devise a blueprint. Swarajya can maybe deliver an episode on this.
How can India reverse (through Legislation) the shrinking of Farm Land holdings? Can the Center step in, as Agriculture is a State subject. Automation will also be improved through resolving this small holdings problem. Hope this finds mention in your future videos.
In my village presence of river is big problem to former and also heavy rain is also bigger and big problem

No new ideas added to the current discourse on the subject. Comments are too general. Must be supported by hard facts. For eg how much is the subsidy bill and how it can be used. There are some flaws as well. For eg if fragmentation of land is the biggest problem, then let it be understood that small farmers cannot come into futures platform due to the small size of its produce. While it may be true to say that we need to move away from water-intensive sugarcane, it would be foolish to reduce paddy and wheat cultivation as they are our staple foods. Moreover, it is not water shortages that is our problem but water conservation and distribution. Stories are legion to show how good conservation has led to bountiful crops even in drought prone areas. I could go on. However, the need to ramp up storage and irrigation facilities cannot be denied.
It will help the tax payers more than the farmers!

Yes I guess they broke the monopoly of mandis in deciding the price. And it's possible now for the farmer to sell his produce outside of his region. But still a lot needs to be done.
