Oh Jewels, I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s illness and the change it has made in your lives. It’s hard to suddenly have your rolls reversed. I spent 13 years being “mother” to my mother who developed Alzheimer’s at the age of 60. It’s so very important to make sure you take time for yourself!!! So read and glue. What a special time in your life -- The opportunity to comfort and care for both your parents at a critical time in their lives. I can imagine it's incredibly overwhelming for all of you. I would glue every chance I get. Sending prayers and positive vibes for your family.

So awesome to see you back! Wow...what a life change for you and your hubby right now. I totally understand. Years ago, my super-healthy mother had a massive stroke that left her totally disabled. She was very active, still working several years past retirement age, traveling, hanging out with friends and suddenly, she could do nothing for herself. She lived alone in another state so I quit my job and we brought her to live with us. Mom lived for 14 years.Yes, my lifestyle also changed as I know yours is. Someone always had to be there with her. You will be exhausted, you'll cry, but you'll also rejoice in the time you get to spend together. Bless you and your husband for stepping in..Craft and create........I have no doubt that crafting, my books, and of course, my wine are what kept me sane for those years. Hang in there...."try" to get a few hours away with hubby every week if you can hire someone to stay with them. I know it's hard. Huge hugs and all my best good vibes for you as you're going through this role reversal in life.

Oh, Jewels…I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s diagnosis and all the challenges that brings with it. You and your husband are saints for the way you are caring for both of your parents…not all children would do that. Take care of yourself (which I know is hard - but extremely necessary if you are to be good for everyone else that needs you) and take care of your marriage…this can put extra stress on your marriage. Utilize hospice as much as you can - for your mom, but for all of you as well. If y’all enjoy pets, they can even bring in a therapy dog/cat…just ask. I am not far from you - I’d be happy to bring a meal for y’all if that would help or have something delivered…just reach out to me and I’ll get right on it. I’m happy to see you back…but only if it’s helping you to get through all this…no pressure from KZread land! 😂❤
