First if all - turtle yoga 🤣 Wow, Joseph! You really captured the yawning, endless march of time passing - slowly. You are a good brother and I hope your family appreciates you. You took some amazing pictures! This was very interesting, all the way to the end.

I really enjoyed your video Joseph. When I saw the length of it I thought, maybe for a bit. But it really did hold my interest all the way through. And was such a good message to just slow down and take care of others… I think it should go viral. And I loved the turtle yoga! 🐢

I loved this, your calm voice, beautiful scenes and animals, (I’m from Staten Island, we have some too), quiet music, it is VERY EMOTIONAL, (it brought back memories of a very dark year, I broke my leg, my cat died, my brother Danny died on Staten Island within one week) and nowI’m in tears. Danny and I spent lots of time doing the same things as you and I held the same position in my family.. Thank you Joseph❣️

Thank you so much for the compliments and I'm sorry it drudged all that up. But we don't move forward without looking back. I think a lot of us had some dark times that last couple of years.

Film making is an art 😉 I was getting car sick riding along with you lol. I agree with Nick, that traffic, I do not miss that! A traffic jam for us now is 5 cars without a passing zone. Watching the Green Herring, at first I didn’t even see the turtle! He moved and I had to hit rewind! I was so caught up in the bird that I missed what was going on around him. Wonder if you go frame by frame, if you got a good shot of the fish that jumped behind him and to the right (after his lunch was done). I did that one day out in a small boat, filming the water hoping to get a shot of a fish breaking the surface. Oh the patience to sit and wait on nature to show you something spectacular when you have a camera in your hand, the excitement, when something spectacular actually happens and you capture it is always worth the wait. Sometimes those “dark depressing” days provide the best cloud scapes and sometimes I find the rain to be very soothing and calming. Speaking of calm things the “turtle yoga” cracked me up. Was that reach for the sun pose? Or perhaps it was pointing dog, either way it was great. Nice video.

Oh I so agree, traffic like that doesn't exist where I actually live. In Queens you can get cops triple parked and they give you dirty looks when you drive around them into oncoming traffic without any real choice... drove me crazy. I'll have to check the footage, I never even noticed the fish jumping... it might have been a frog, but I'll look for it. I was kind of tired when I did the voice over, so I'm glad that yoga joke worked. Thought it might get lost in my Ben Stien like delivery... lol "Beuller, Beuller, Beuller."

Absolutely loved this Joseph. All those critters and some I’ve only seen in Florida. Swallowing that frog was funny. Maybe he likes ketchup on his food, hence the dunking 🤣The lady doing her moves I’ve seen in Malaysia.(no not her personally)🤣 A lot of older people do it every day to keep supple and improve balance. That’s why it is so slow. You are a great brother. 🤗

Thanks for watching. I'm quite sure it prefers Grey Puopon to ketchup, as it is such a distinguished bird... lol Yes, better to be old and active than old and still. P.s. this was held for review by KZread, hence the late response.

And that's only the highway traffic, which is the easy part. People in Queens think traffic laws are suggestions. 3 weeks of driving there and I developed a pinched nerve in my ankle that still hurts. It is brutal out there.

That's cool you could find a couple key parks as the more relaxing break time. You definitely have some photos or video that could serve as reference photos. I just finished my swan painting the other day (Tundra swan), it was a different breed than the two you showed, and naturally migrates from the arctic to my VA area for the winter. Godzilla swan, one of the mite swans, was a cool shot! That one and must if the ones you showed were popular Mute swan originally and generally meant to be in Europe, but they are now loose/wild in usa. I wonder if the Asian woman was doing that spiritual move meditation exercise that I believe in China is still outlawed, vs a martial arts thing, but I don't know really, could be martial arts! I don't think I could have done the 2 to 2.5 hr one way commute for that many days/weeks! Even if an uncomfortable couch or floor with blow up mattress I might have had to crash at the sister's for that time period to avoid the daily drive... guessing that was not an option. Cool voiceover job... I couldn't have talked all that withiut reading it, so extra kudos if it was improv!

@@GeorgePencilArt Thanks for the Swan info always cool to learn a little something now and then. :) It could be that, but it looked very similar to a Wushu form I learned long ago, but just slower. Not sure though. Well my sister was actually staying at my house, so coming home and getting to hang out with her was also part of why I made the trip everyday. It was improv but did have some edits made... lol Thank you for watching. :)

@@ArtofJosephFinchum Ah I see on the commute. Nice of you to drive in to take the kids to high school while she was back at your house recouping. It has been forever since I did a voiceover... My mic broke some time ago and I haven't done a voiceover since and can't recall if I can record one directly using cell phone built in one... i use that for videos for now, for some time. My memory is terrible and I forgot I could stop and start sound clips or edit the sound clips (at least when recorded with a mic) and slide them around in my film editor.

Oops. My apologies for sliding my original comment(s) under Nick's comment. I usually don't make that mistake! And a type-o. I typed your godzilla swan was the common "mite" swan, I meant to type Mute swan. Yeah, I know a bit more about swans now. I enjoyed your progress on the halloween painting yesterday.

No problem, it happens. I thought I read mute swan, but I did know that so maybe the old noggin fixed it internally... lol I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but progress was made. I'm hoping I can get it done next week.

@@ArtofJosephFinchum I thought you made a lot of progress. I realized while watching, that painting with acrylic or oil really does require at least a couple hours of dedicated time, and three probably better. I don't have to worry presently about colored pencil if only do 30 to 60 minutes at a time, as nothing to dry out. So I can obey the various errands and distractions, which isn't great either, esp since I retired early and have the time if I can just set it aside better. I can tell I need even with pencils to make firmer decisions now to draw/paint for at least 2 hours straight.
