Where Eagles Dare awesome movie another movie that seems to get better with time who doesn't love Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood and all that action

The soundtrack is even better than a cup of coffee

One of my all time favorite movies. I watch it at least once a year. Nice catch on Ingrid Pitt Bryan, she was awsome

Going to Salzburg next summer and CAN’T WAIT to visit Hohenwerfen, which I’ll always think of as Schloss Adler! 👍 Great movie!

I’d be opening every door asking “General Carnaby?”, then yelling “Broadsword calling Danny Boy@ in the courtyard.

An action packed war time movie written by Alistair McLean with super human feats by Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood with an unexpected final twist . Seen some 55 years ago still etched in memory !

As a general rule you should never tell someone that there is a twist at the end of a movie, or that something unexpected happens at the end. because that person will be waiting for and trying to guess the twist, and expecting the unexpected. a friend of mine just says, " ah its worth a watch" if he his trying to recommend a film. your review is very well worded , mentioning action and the actors performance. it makes me want to see the film, as i never saw it already. but i would leave out mention of a twist in future if reviewing films. thanks for the recommendation.

Beautiful place- never forget the fight on the cable car with the little ice pick and boot in the face- loved it as a boy of 10 full of action!

Just got back from Austria. Did a tour of Hohenwerfen as well as the locations used in Ebensee and Lofer. Nice video.

RIP, Richard Burton for this was one of the best WW2 movie ever made.

It was a rainy and cold day in 1967. My father pulled our little rental car onto a narrow dirt path. We walked the rest of the way up to a deserted and dilapidated castle. My mom commanded us kids not to go out onto the balconies. They could have broken away from the rusted supports. We were the only people there. No gate. I remember the grayness and feeling of isolation up there. Looks like times have changed.

I was always of the opinion . That a lot of the end of this . Movie was shot in Yosemite National Park . I Just Associate the escape Route with NB CA. HWY 41. Of all Times to Take the Tour Bus Major . Screaming Eagles . Bus Tours . Ri ght .....

One of only two movies Clint made for MGM. The other;Kelly’s Heroes. Poorly treated by the studio, so went back to Warner Brothers and took his production company, Malpaso, with him. Only works for other studios now as an equity paid actor. No wonder Metro went broke.
