I love how most pups enjoy the bite bite game (using your hand as a claw while they play bite your hand.) Another fun one is to put your hand under the blanket and move it around for the pounce. Just grab their feeties from under the blanket. My Ramona is 10 now but still plays like she did when she was a puppy

i love how Harvey is just like "growl all you want" proceeds to have a big goofy smile

My uncle had a half-wolf years ago that was his heart and soul. As he entered old age, though, his wolf side came out more and more. He could be aggressive and unpredictable in his last couple of years; broke my uncle's heart. I hope your beautiful Kane doesn't experience this, although I'm sure you guys are ready for it and know the risks. Gorgeous wolfdog!

Shows to the clearly excellent training this wolfdog's had. Despite his growling and perceived attitude, even the slightest sign of growling from his owner warrants an immediate submissive response. Great video!

That's a big boy and a formidible growl. He'd scare the wits off an intruder just with the growl. My dachshund behind the fence has people thinking he's a doberman with his deep-chested bark but this guy's growl vibrations are enough to make some people have to change their pants. That low, low growl, like one of the big cat family growls. You feel it in every cell of your body. I am so in awe of my Buddy's instincts and intelligence. My first hound breed. I had things to learn!

Most big cats don't have a growl like dogs or wolves, that's how we can tell the difference.. Besides I bet Kane is the kind to show intruders all the valuables in the house then go "but don't touch them, only look." 😂

It's really funny...my huskies do this. Grr at us then demand attention, then grr some more when they're getting pet. One of those "I DONT WANNA BE TOUCHED, SO LOVE ME!" lol Great content.

the last few seconds Kane was like "no sorry lemme lick ya lady, I was not grawling against you"

And it is now that we see it's (mostly) just theater. I still would be careful around grumpy Kane, but Mom and Dad clearly know how to handle him when he's moody.

I think it's cool that wolf/wolf-dog growls are a form of communication, not always an intimidation tactic. I think there's also like 2-3 different types of growling, too, which might be the difference between communicating and intimidation.

Oh my gosh!! Kane holding Harvey by the throat, then those growls and showing his big canine teeth..really displaying his wolf side. Love those two boys; they’re gorgeous. 🐾

My dog was just like that too. He'd grown and bare his teeth while wagging his tail. Though he only started doing that when he became a grumpy old man.

Hearing these sounds makes me glad most dogs aren't half wolf 😅

The growl is maybe his way of talking saying " don't stop petting, keep petting me, take your hand and put it back on my head" ❤️👍🤣 I'm just impressed how Hooman#2 , handles both dogs where as they both feel equal and neither gets more attention than the other and she does a very well job at stimulating the bond between them three. That's a very good idea. Kudo's to mom.

Seeing as how his body language is still happy, I'd say that his "growls" are actually the wolf equivalent of purring.

his tail is wagging. he's just very vocal. ive only known him for a minute and a half but i dont think he'd bite... hard. just wants to play it looks like. too much energy built up. as soon as she vocalized back he gave her a kiss lol.

i mean you're not wrong. Wolfs and dogs are pack animals down to their bone. If you are clear you're in charge, they're always going to be fine. I would worry way more about bringing in outside kids and such if I had a wolf dog. They're always gonna be cool with their "boss".

It's because all growls from a wolf is not aggression it's just how they communicate.

Haha man that growl. I’ve seen it with Rottweilers as well where it’s like a purr almost. I equate it to when I groan as i stretch. Guttural slow release of air as I tense chest that might sound scary primal but is relaxing.

My dog blue does the same growling thing. I call him Oscar for Oscar the grouch. My huskies name is Tuna. Tuna and bacon 😂 he’s all black with white eyes.

maybe not in the exact same size but we had a German Shepherd mixed with Husky that would do this guttural growl when touched too (and he was the one that would ask for the pats) I guess it was either a dare game or just how he displayed his gratefulness. He also had a different growl and bark for when barking at humans and a different more howling-like bark when animals were involved so we knew when someone was about to knock at the door or it was just some random animal in our property

There's a protocol for affection for Timberwolves. If she gets on her knees and makes certain sounds, the wolf will start sort of "butting" her along with sniffing and liking her head and neck. This will bring a new level to your family. They talk. Listen. Saved my life.

That growl had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up, had to remind myself his tail was wagging the whole time.

Kane is doing some play growing! Infact most dogs will “play fight” with each other. Trust me you’ll know when it’s a real fight or play fight, totally different sound, totally different feels

From what I've experienced the growl doesn't change much, but they'll generally stop wagging their tail, bare their teeth, stare at their target, and stand still.

Wolf has mouth on huskies throught. Husky fave screams "This freaking guy."

My sisters dog is a vocal pup too. He's always grumbling and being a silly dog and then gets upset when you stop.

Kane reminds me of my friends GSD. When I'm playing with him he's growling and trying to be all angry. If we are all together and people don't know him, they look terrified that I'll be bit. But the moment I stop, he looks at me in a way that says, Why'd you stop?!?!?. And proceeds to start getting me to play again.

He doesn’t want to appear subservient or seeking attention when others are watching; at the same time he wants the attention of being coddled and given pets. The dilemma of being a scary wolf 😂

My Blue Heeler/Coyote mix does the same thing, growls while being pet if my other dog is next to him
