My former employer treated a white employees disability dispute entirely different than they treated my black ass. The white employee kept his job and reached a settlement. My black ass gets hurt really bad, continues to work through the pain until I was fired a few weeks later. And then about 6 months after my first major surgery I stopped receiving benefits even though my doctor had me at 100 percent disabled. And even after receiving 2 more surgeries I was forced to suffer as I still didn’t receive anything. And when I submitted hundreds of job searches, they wouldn’t take account for them because there was no confirmation number. Can’t get those on job search sites. And then it’s really funny. I went on 5 in person interviews and they wouldn’t accept those. Racism and discrimination in NYS workers comp and the insurance companies love it. They play on it…..

@@Tampertownmediagroup Trust I've learned things in the work environment the hard way as well. I went to work the next day after a car accident back pains and all because I was the most dependable employee at the time. Looking back pretty dumb thing to do especially when the company/establishment never respected or valued me. I was lifting heavy shipment boxes instead of letting the company deal with their issue. I've since learned a lot from my experiences. You would have been well within your rights to have your accomodations met.

I was wrongfully discharged two months ago for (allegedly) violating company policy specifically safety policy. When I received my Unemployment document they company told them that I was discharged for not being qualified for the position which to me is ludicrous for the fact that I been in that position for over 3 years. Then when asked did they have proof to confirm it they showed no sufficient evidence to prove work-related misconduct. what should I do?

Can you confirm if a person receives a right to sue letter if future employers will know about that? For instance, when the employee starts to look for new jobs will new companies know that you've sued a previous employer for unfair treatment.

@dizzigmc5448 Hi. Thanks for your reply. One more question. Can you please confirm how they find out? I contacted the EEOC, and they claimed that information is private. I am wondering how new potential employers know if you've previously sued a former employer. It's unfair and has the potential to really affect a person's life.

My life was threatened by a coworker that would sexually harass me continuously. It was recorded and reported to the admin and nothing was done. I filed a police report, and received several witness statements of the threat also. The employee went on and later committed actual battery on the job and was indicted a week after I filed my report. I was terminated 3 months later without explanation. I’m considering suing, do I have a case?
