I've been to Balcon Tumpiki with Alex, the place and he are awesome! Thank you for sharing. I am a fan of tanagers, so far the Flame-faced Tanager is my favourite in the video

I am planning to visit Ecuador for a 14-day birding trip in September. Was looking for some info and I am glad that I was able to find this page. Very nicely shot video and edited well with the slow motion and pictures. I have few questions, Due to the difficulty of carrying all the gears, I am planning to take 800mm, 70-200mm 2.8 with 1.4 and 2.0X teleconverters and a 24-70 lens with 2 cameras. Travel Tripod, monopod and Gimbal. I need to take the 500mm if not taking the 800mm. Also, the current drug cartel situation is making me nervous. My tour company said it is safe and not to worry. Due to this, I am planning to go with a small group. Any comments on this are highly appreciated.

Thank you very much and congratulations you are going to enjoy it. You don’t need the 800 mm the 500 will be perfect as well as the 70 to 200 2.8. Thank you for commenting. Please remember to subscribe….

Thank you for the video. The music was very nice, too! Did you use a tour company for this trip? And where in Ecuador did you go to see these birds? Thanks.

Thank you. Just went on my own, but a couple bird guides several days. It’s fun to get a ride to these good spots and just stay there at the lodges, the birds are right there so it’s convenient.

I hope that despite the situation in Ecuador both its people and the government can still protect the natural beauty and wonder of the country as well.

Great video. The toucanet you referred to is actually crimson rumped (the northern emerald is similar but is only in Central America). Keep up the good work

How do I get a copy of that PLAYLIST?? Loved the tune that kicked off when the Jungle Toucan(the first one) was the focus. And I'm sorry that you had to labor through the jungles of Ecuador to bring us world class video and images that would rival and major production. Keep the beauty coming, you're a true artist.

Thank you. I feel like God has blessed me with the opportunity to see that area and experience the culture there. Let me know if you are seeing any warblers or other birds up in the trees now on Delmarva. I remember seeing some big flocks of birds there migrating and some cool little birds close by in the tree branches while up in the trees on the back road from New Church heading towards Horn town. Also looked up in a tree in the dark with a flash light and saw a small screech owl there.

Ok, my favorite bird is the Multicolored toucan with a black and red checked pattern on his tail. Right at the 44:18 mark. What kind is he, again?

Very nice videos, but unfortunately the music is very noisy and unsuitable for the birds show... Hopefully changed music to nature atmosphere... Thanks, I will follow you...
