ti clarify, the demon god and the hero was sealed in a time dilation bubble. if the bubble stop working, they will continue the fight that will end the world. that is why the fire ball shooting from outside cannot reach the center. but his ability transcendence time itself and kill the demon god because the demon god was releasing a miasma that make him feel uncomfortable...teehee

@@1toolaj The further in the novel you get the crazier his feats get. You haven't seen anything yet. Whatever "weakness" you think you see, would be proven wrong later on. He has barely tapped into a tiny fraction of what he could do.

The end of this arc goes completely off the rails I cant wait to see it adapted. The flashbacks of Yogiri's childhood are some of the best parts of the novels to me its funny to see how Asaka just treats him like a normal kid while everyone else is absolutely terrified of him (rightfully so).

You know, I just realized he pulled a Cid moment. Season 2 when cid came in a beat that one guy as he was monologing. Yeah ….😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Child Yogiri is pretty cute. He looks like the kindest most innocent little thing if you don't know his power. I love how Asaka's personality can even embrace all this innocence and strangeness. Perhaps that is what won Yogiri over and without knowing it, she saved him in a way. Cause he nerver felt that motherly warmth before.

This man is the Death Note himself 😂

The hilarious part is the demon lord got killed by Yogiri's passives while minding his own business on the trials lmaooooooooo

I had to go back and rewatch the later part of the episode. He...actually might have killed the final boss! Holy shit!

I love how they are discussing how the miasma suddenly disappeared, and Yogiri is just there with his "ups" face. You can't really blame him. It was a reflex. Like swatting a mosquito. But Hot Staggering Shit! That mosquito was very likely the Demon Lord he and his classmates were meant to fight. Dude is a serious bug in the system. Nay, a boss-killing exploit. A walking Cheat. At least he has the decency to admit he may have rendered the whole "Becoming the new Swordmaster" plot irrelevant. That's what I like about him. He doesn't do it on purpose. Yeah, it may have been a stray shot, but he knew he messed up. And seeing his past, with him being treated as a dangerous nuke with a very loose firing mechanism, only for his new caretaker to actually treat him like a kid is endearing. More flashbacks, please. That side story is shaping to be hella fun too. As for the main plot, now he has to walk down that tower, and we all know that will increase the body count something fierce. Great episode. Great anime. Please tell us there will be a season two when it's over. PD: That massive dragon slaying with Dannoura saying it looked like a RAID commercial killed me. I laughed a good solid two minutes before I could catch my breath... only for me to lose it again with the whole Golden Thunder Dragon gag. This series is a serious killer.

Yogiri is the ALPHA and the OMEGA. I've been saying for a while... This guy can kill anyone whether you be Goku, Saitama, Anos, Rimuru... Even outside of the anime space... If you paired him up against Thanos or Galactus, I think he'd one shot them with ease. I think you're on to something there... He actually might have accidentally killed the dark lord without meaning to do it. Just because some miasma happened to be around him, he accidentally used his ability to murder the fool. That's hilarious if that's the truth. I thought he'd say he's ability was locked away and that's why Dannoura was freaking out but your theory makes more sense. I'd love if we can get more people in this party so Yogiri can put down the chair and play his game while they do all the work because this man is so broken he doesn't really need to lift a finger, anything that gets close and has killing intent will immediately die so he can chill if he wanted to with a good amount of people. The gacha mechanic that one dude has is absolutely amazing. It sounds really shit but in life or death situations, it's actually not too bad. He was cut in half and was able to basically revive himself with that crystal. I also love the comment when he killed all those dragons, Dannoura said it being about a mosquito killing commercial 🤣 And that one dragon was like OH HELL NAH before it had to come backso it wouldn't die from Yogiri. This show is hella entertaining and I finally caught up to it due to the face I've been really sick these past 2 days so I could do it... Although being sick sucks so bad 😞😮‍💨 I'll pull though hopefully. I wouldn't actually mind a S2 of this if it gets announced. Depends entirely on the popularity of the show. Also... When you mentioned the skipping of the cutscene only to find the boss is dead. I had the meme in my head and it could be used if/when it's revealed that the dark lord is dead. I'd be totally like: EXCUSE ME WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK... Imagine doing all that work and hyping yourself up to beat one of the strongest beings in the world for it to die automatically. Great review Brandon and thoroughly enjoying this show 👏🔥

If you're interested, you could try reading the Light Novel. The scale of the craziness in this series easily beats Misfit and Tensura. And fun fact, the only time Yogiri can be killed is when he sealed his power in episode 1. However, thanks to Tomochika boobs, the seal is lifted and now those tits have doomed everything.

The backstory being sprinkled in here and there is simply perfect. You get the nice drip feed of Yogiri over time. Asaka really was a good influence on him, but I can also see how that affected his taste in women...

This was one of the most crazy episodes yet which says a lot seeing how crazy these episodes usually get. Like we have Asaka going deep down in a secret base. And I mean really really deep, to teach Yogiri how to be a good human. That would not end up destroying humanity as an after thought. So you Asaka don’t feel pressure over that you work will decide the fate of humanity lol. But I really loved her personality she was so straight forward and tried to help our boy as best that she could. She basically named him and become his parent. Then it was pretty funny how they did back into a dragon. And Yogiri killed it then all of it pack. Where a big gold dragon showed up to say that he passed a test. But wanting information from that big dragon he forced it to return to him with the threat of her life. Where she then after lead them to a group that did visit a sword master. Which was a bit wacky as he just did drop a challenge of the big group needing to kill half of themselves within 10 minutes. And after it I was so shocked that one dude that was cut in halved did survive. Then after getting a rainbow stone he was healed up again. I have never seen an isekai power that works like a gacha mechanic. That really was something but then we get to know. About that 1,000 years ago a divine king did lock a evil god in place inside a time sphere. And if Yogiri killed that bbg before even entering the tower. That would not be like killing a boss during a cut scene. That would be like exploiting a bug to kill the boss before the area have even loaded in😂

Watching Yogiri's backstory and his family like relationship with Asaka was pretty wholesome to see 🥺 If he did kill the Dark God without anyone noticing it, I can't wait to see their reaction 🤣 This show is pure insanity and that's why I love it 😂

I learned a new term recently: "Eldrich Horror; Dramatic Irony". When from the perspective of the viewers, the story is Dramatic Irony because we have a clear understanding of the situation and it's all perfectly mundane to us; but the _exact same events_ from the perspective of characters totally unfamiliar to those concepts would be experienced as Eldrich Horror. Yogiri is, essentially, an Eldrich Horror accidentally summoned to this Isekai world and *no one really realizes it.* Some have a certain inkling. Some have an uncanny sense of dread around him, eventually one character literally peers into the abyss and the abyss peers back, full-on breaking her mind. Only we, as the viewers, can really see the deeper layers of Dramatic Irony as he just takes all the usual rules of Isekai and full-on pitches them off a cliff. And even *WE* can't _fully_ see how deep his power runs. It's like, to the characters in the story, it's normal, everyday people and the occasional Miskatonic U. Prof. encountering... something. Maybe Cthullu, maybe The Emperor in Yellow... they still haven't quite worked it out. And to _us,_ we're Yog Sothoth bumping into freakin' Khorne from 40K wondering, "How did you even *get* to _this_ Universe!? _This_ isn't _your_ story!"

This turned to be a entertaining episode. At least the Dragon girl knew it was unwise to anger Yogiri, others ignore the obvious and still aggravates him. 'm seeing a lot of similarities between the teacher and Dannoura especially theirs reactions and comments about the current situations.

Another good episode imho. Brandon, I think you're on the right track with your theory that he killed the Dark God already... that was my impression as well. He is just so broken a character--I think the idea is for parody, but I find it more fascinating than funny at this point. Also of note is that the researchers gave him the code name "Alpha Omega"--the name has me wondering if the alpha part just refers to him being the first of his kind (a prototype), or if he has some other ability we don't know about yet (no spoilers please).

@KaiserReinhard Yeah, there is some good world-building in this story that I think the LNs may be better for but I'm enjoying it in the anime. Also, perhaps I'm putting more weight on the code name than it deserves but I just thought the "alpha" part was noteworthy.

If you didn't notice, most people in this world doesn't speak the same language as Yogiri class so Yogiri need translation device to talk to other people (another isekai trope broken there), and in the manga it was said that some people learned Japanese because their world constantly get stream of summoned people/reincarnated people there from japan. That's funny and self aware how Isekai MC are always the damn Japanese.

Note, this is not a spoiler. Just something cut for time, im assuming. The funny thing that was in the manga but cut here was that the dragon was screwing with them. In the manga, she explains that she was told to use the loli form when dealing with male visitors because they never hurt them. Prior to this, the aggressor does the same by using a cute voice when talking to them. Pigtails then remarks that such a thing is really calculating. When the dragon does it, she screams about how strange it is that they both used the same tactic to endear themselves to males.😂

Haha that apology stone gacha guy has the most unusual gift in the episode. Yeah like a walking gacha game.

The current sage world is mostly to introduce how his abilities work. Things will get deeper soon. So yeah the current story is just to show how he can one shot everyone no matter who is it. Things get interesting later on in LN.

I was thinking about how to kill him and only way to have a shot is to have ability that bypases his automatic defense or disable it even if it is only for a second and he still could have more hidden aspects of his ability.

I was thinking about it too last week. I am wondering if his ability can still trigger if he was unconscious. I am thinking what if he was put to sleep by an area spell instead of a targeted spell. Also, I think a sleep spell does not carry the intention to kill, right. So, his auto-defense might not trigger.

@@zam023 it will trigger when the spell is casted with intent to harm(even if it's not now or cases that will induce comma) it will either kill the caster before the spell is activated or kill the spell itself. And yeah he can use instant death even asleep thats why he doesn't care much at the bus while his sleeping.

I'm guessing the Dragon girl was so insistent on Yogiri taking part because she realized that his Ability might be able to kill the Dark God.

From what I remember, this is the beginning of the second volume. Also Lynnel is basically Subaru with gacha as an ability. Oh btw there's gonna be a big revalation happening in this arc.
