My god my mams British, and she’s been using the same mug for over 7 years. It’s not sold in stores anymore, and she chipped it like a week ago. So I asked my dad if I found it on amazon to buy it and I’ll give him the money. I only found the couple set. So he’s gonna take one. Lmao I told her it might come when I’m at college and to not open it because half of it is me dads. She said. “You don’t need to go spending your money on me! How much was it?” It’s a morning gorgeous cup from Wilko. I found the morning gorgeous and handsome on Amazon. It fits my ma because I call her gorgeous, it’s a inside joke from her Nacro days.

@Blue Velvet nope I don't have a stepmother oooh... Some mothers are like that... So many children can't disclose the actual price whenever they get them gifts...bcos, our parents see expensive gifts as waste of money...

My mom is Mexican and it was nearly impossible to buy her a gift. She would be like thank you but I don’t need this and sometimes would gift it back to me. I always spent too much. God bless her. Love you mom.
This is the reason I never tell my mom the real price If it’s 20k then I’ll tell her 5k lol

Same here. I couldn't understand my mom either. I bought her a cheap gift, she had disappointment written all over her face, and if I were to read that expression of hers, it would read "am I not that precious enough for you?" . And when I bought her expensive ones, she gets angry and says that I just wasted my money.
These people can make you regret doing anything for them 🤣🤣🤣. Us Nigerian kids have suffered LOL!!
