Hell yea what rate? I was an AS Aviation support equipment tech. However I was at one of those commands where they didn't care what your rate was, you were gonna do everyone else and their grandmas job too lol

The VA wanted veterans to stay home long before the China virus. Last time i went to the atlanta it was oh we dont do that and oh we dont do that. Well what tha fuck do you do. I will say the doctors at the eye clinic are great . short staffed under paid but they still do all they can. Because of them im not blind.

Right I got one in right now that went from gathering information to preparation for decision gathering information and now it says preparation for decision. Dates keep changing for completion of claim. Like really?!?!

6 months of that for me. And kept asking for records which I didn't have. They kept saying ok, we will get them. But still kept asking. Then another 6 months to get my wife verified. Maybe I was lucky compared to some?

I'm a vet. 3 tours. and I work 4 the va...in making appointments....I'm so stressed out...so many vets...and all I can do is book the next available...which is not till 3 to 4 months away...I want to book them asap....but the doctor is booked out...they blame me....I need to find another job...I'm just can't take it

The VA have come a long way compare to my ETS back in 1992. I believe the VA Shou allow Veteran's to use out of network provider without it having to be an emergency. The VA Choice Program is a good concept, but the process need to be reworked. There's no need for the VA Choice Program representative to make the out of network appointment for me then call me back, asking if I agree with the appointment date and time.

Sad but true, took them 25 years from my DOS to get my claim approved and they back paid it three years. Mine isn't the longest I know guys that were in Vietnam that went 35 or 40 years. The VA should be run by Vets for Vets.

You got the meds part right. I love it when they say make an appointment for 2 weeks, then the scheduling people tell you nothing is available for 2 months. Last time they gave me the telecare number I gave it back to them and told them nobody answeres that number (news story from Florida explains why). Then them bastards started talking shit about me behind the counter. I had to leave before I did something to get arested. Btw, look into the epidemic of veterans commiting suicide in the VA parking lots. True story. Almost did it myself till I found out the mainstream media won't cover it. I could go on and on. I'm currently attending college for Psychology in ABA to help active Service Members and Veterans and with the V.A being the way it is, is the reason why I would never want to work or volunteer there. I'm hoping that once I get my PhD in 9 years, I don't have to go through the V.A in order for me to help my Service Members.

the first filing took over 3 years of jumping through hoops and some real difficult times. the DAV was more of a hurt than a help. then got a Veterans Service Officer to do the heavy lifting. that is who you deal with, the VSO. things get done within 4 or 5 months now, way better.

As a veteran I have had lityle issue talking to someone especially since the VA Messaging system. Yes it still takes forever to get an appointment, but they are offering to send you to outside the VA system to get help in your local community.

Oh how true. Just wait till you have to have surgery. Then they tell you they don't have a qualified surgeon on staff to perform it. Then you wait months for them to arrange it with a civie hospital they already have a contract with to perform surgeries. They tell you the VA will cover all costs. Which they back out of after a couple weeks. At which point the civie hospital takes every cent you earn for months to years to cover MORE costs they found related to the surgery. I told the civie hospital a year after my surgery that I wasn't paying a penny more for new charges because it is a scam that they keep finding more things to charge me for a year after the surgery. And hadn't even been at that hospital in over a year. They didn't like it but they stopped charging me. Well, they tried again another year later. I just tossed that bill in the trash.

Oh my God! 😂 I just went through the same situation, about a week ago. I ran out of meds, and the VA didn't refill them till 3 days later. Luckily the ER doctor gave me a prescription; life saver. Antidepressant withdrawals made me fill like I was going crazy. It was a very unpleasant experience.
