him and everyone who lean on mods get to see why choice of zooning and how much of it as well as road choices as well as NOT building roads makes traffic flow better. Granted Biffa is better than most, those in my friend circle who have city skylines use mods like crutches and blunt hammers to solve issues they build themselves into. Gotten tired of fixing their traffic jams.

It's a bit painful to watch sometimes imo, I'm on console so I know the struggle.

I have phases where I don't watch your videos, glad I'm back to watching them. Didn't realise how much they entertain me

my favorite videos of yours are where you blow out a huge neighborhood like this. I love that you use zoned spaces but still come up with these very usable, learnable, well-organized neighborhoods!

I’ve been watching the series and absolutely baffled how you’ve managed to reach this point without “not enough educated workers” issue, and no university…..making it look so easy 👍

I think... The biggest issue.. might be that you need more high density residential buildings Instead of low density "Just my opinion".. might help a lot with the population Nice job with the videos as always! Love ya content ❤

Biffa, do you have any plans for when CS2 is released? Obviously your first build or two is going to be somewhat exploratory. But... can I suggest recreating one of your CS cities in CS2? It would serve to explore the differences. See what can be done better or easier and maybe even identify things that are no longer possible.

He already made "New New Tealand", which is featured in the latest CS2 Dev Diary, so I'm sure we'll get to explore it in October. That would be cool to see one video about, but I'd much rather watch full series about brand new cities.

Anyone else notice that the high capacity Hospital fronts onto the main road and not the little service road that the Fire Station is on. When Biffa looked to see how the back of it looks from the residential, he didn't notice that the arrow to show which road is the front was now pointing at him, so instead of seeing how the back looks, he is seeing the front and in my opinion the back actually would be a better look anyway. You need to turn it around Biffa!!!

Love the expansion! Just noticed that you expended the zone to far at 29:21. One house from the other zone changed to a wall to wall building

Loving the series, it's a nice breath of fresh air before the fresher air rolls in :P I see we're about to arrive at the moment in the game where I always start to struggle a bit, which promises a lot for next episode. I have to say though ... I'm not a fan of that many parking lots everywhere, it looks a bit ugly, too car-centric. I hope that with the addition of mass transit, some parking lot areas can be converted to parks or other useful areas

For situations like in 32:55, I would use two one-way roads instead of a single 2-way roads as connectors. This is because the direction on the connectors is the opposite (right side drive) of the normal roads.

In vanilla you'll kill your traffic flow by putting in lots of commercial zoning. Best to go minimalist and add small corner shops everywhere. Also cycle lanes are your biggest friend in residential areas. On my latest xbox city have over 50k population and with a great deal of following road hierarchy and not putting down lots of generic industry I've got 85% traffic

Gotta throw some bridges over the couplet stuff. Then people going straight don’t have to get in the way!

It took me 8(?) years to realise that the whole ground pollution makes no sense. Like how do citizens get sick from pollution in residential, but spending 8h a day in the polluted industrial zone is fine?

The traffic is getting pretty bad around the couplet You could try replacing the 2-way four lane roads linking the two sides of the couplet with regular 3-lane one-ways facing alternating directions, should add dedicated turning lanes as well as reduce/eliminate conflicting left turns on and off of the current 2-way connectors Also, make sure busiest of the roads being used as collectors off of the arterial couplet are at least 4 Lane roads or assymetric to add some capacity And maybe a cycling high way going down the middle of the couplet as well

Biffa, Please move all the stuff on the beach up to the green area under the housing. Please

With the new “Paradox Mods” option in the CS2 menu then mods *might* exist on console. Then we will need someone to make a traffic manger mod for CS2.

Looks like a median u-turn intersection (a Michigan left) would be super beneficial

It may be a good way to fill in some of the space around the new schools with, only by staggering in the grid from one to two to three in in different patterns to fill that space cuz it looked like at 4 the schools took away the spaces on the grid

Hi! your city is growing super nice! I am following the series, btw... the wall to wall commercial icon has the two colors, the low and high density color, that means the zoning applies for the two of them.

Im not necessary saying, I told you , But I TOLD you So . Its fine untill you Reach a certain point. The generic Industrial Traffic is the worst.

I was waiting for a new episode, I followed along and my city is now on around 30.000 but after the Island I didn't know what to do because I was like: I'm gonna screw up XD

Hey biffa, console player here. Switch out your diamond interchange for an A4 Parclo. They work great for areas that generate high volumes of traffic and are the backbone of all my cities. The A4 negates left turns onto the highway by using loops.

I don't play cities skylines I just like watching gameplays like this and I found it funny that all along I thought you were saying "WATER WALL" 😂😂Now I know it's "Wall to Wall" 😂

The car parks at 23.50 in reality would be towers.

It's interesting, I'm currently playing on the same map, and despite me playing with mods, the basic shape of the city is surprisingly similar. My biggest problem so far is that I've turned the island into a pedestrian zone with a lot of wall-to-wall development... and with almost a third of my population there, the ferry services are getting absolutely hammered. The lack of good high-capacity ferries has always been a frustration in this game... the new ones they added a while back look good zipping around, but even the biggest are like toy boats.

Have anybody noticed, how the Lake's and Islands loke like Denmark, in the Nature Reserve Park? The big Lake is Jylland, the small is Zealand(Sjælland). The Islands in the big lake, looks like Fyn(big) and Bornholm(Small).

There is a different typenof "water tower" in temhe CC tab on water buildings and stuff that came whit the African CC. Quite cool looking and I believe thatbhave Zero noise pollution so you can place them in parks like decorations. Good tip to next episode 😉

You can use the __ pedestrian area bus only roads __ to create __shortcuts__ for your buses allowing them to run from the interchange to the shopping area and into the new residential area. The shorter the distance the bus travels the more trips the bus can make per day and the more customers it can serve. Saves you money. If you ran a bus line to from the island to the interchange, it will serve the passengers coming across. BTW you had a massive backlog of passengers at the interchange for the line to the old town.

My dear Biffa I blocked my citizens vision of all the garbage processing by making a type of quarry where I lowered the land below the highway and placed Fir trees at the top I’ll put a photo on the discord if you want it works really well , currently watching your video so I’m not sure what’ll pop up

What I’ve found during my current vanilla play through, stop lights have worked especially at the interchanges I’ve created, I’ve always been against them. I also build a square-about interchange slap bang in the middle of a heavily used intersection without removing too much infrastructure. So I’ve learned it’s ok to rip things up and start again.I’ve also learned that just because the streets are in the red and packed with cars, it’s ok as long as they’re constantly flowing you can have them as busy as you wish, it adds to the realism. The other thing I learned to help with my panic was to remember to put my game speed back to its normal state - I’d see all the built up traffic ferociously zipping about and worry, realizing in normal speed everything is just fine. I building a city in just vanilla (currently using no mods or DLC) has been such a beneficial experience, it will certainly help me in the future when using mods and when playing CS2. I also have to thank you for teaching me everything I know about traffic management (despite my own stubbornness on not trying to watch how to videos) So a big thank you to you and as much as I think New Tealand is your creative masterpiece (due to my current let’s play) this is the most fun watch on KZread and I can’t wait to see how you over come the oncoming problems.
