More videos on getting unstuck, when to pin and wiggle, when to blip throttle, when to dig, etc. The last getting unstuck video was pretty basic, us novice riders have 'stuck anxiety " and often make things worse after getting kinda stuck and result in epic stucks

When in doubt, pin it out or roll the sled. Not sure I love the idea of getting unstuck and then hitting the brake immediately.

Get the highlifter snowmobile jack and never worry about being stuck ever again. It quick and easy and no more lifting. Only second to the sled it's the most important piece of equipment for deep snow riding.

Love the channel Dan! Those with small hands have a more difficult time keeping a finger on the brake (axys stock lever). Smaller aluminum levers (adjustable or not) are great for ergonomics, but get very cold, and discourage the riders from keeping a finger on the brake. DIY or Skinz... I’ll never go back to a non-heated brake lever.

Dan What about brake use going up or tring to settle the sled in the trees. I struggle with mantaining ballance and control in the tree when going up or on flat. I have no issues with the examples you gave, quite simple really. So, wat about doin another vid like a part 2 on braking.

As a former military photo journalist and professional sports photographer, let me start out by saying that these are excellent videos. Not only in the content but also in the quality and professionalism of the footage. Getting ready to head out there at the beginning of February with a special group of Markiewicz leaders, for our 10th trip since 2003. I usually don't figure most of this stuff out until our normal 3rd and final day of riding up in the back country. I forget it all by the time we return and the guides we hire end up digging most of us out during the duration. These tips will re-engage my mind before I head out there but just watching the riding in the deep powder has got me jacked up again about heading back to West Yellowstone. Great work. Would love to see a video on training in the gym and the types of workouts that are most beneficial to prep for a great experience.

fact of the matter is high performance machines suck in every way except WOW they can go fast. take it with a grain of salt. thats terrible buddy. why i dont buy fast shit you'll end up spending more time working on it and paying for it then riding it. polaris's are only good when they work. good luck. turns out going fast is not a good vent for daily stress at the end of the day

I like your videos and constantly want to improve! Sometimes its hard to understand, and hard to explain! But i got an idea! It would be really interesting to see how you use it in more "real" riding! Wouldt it be easy both to show and understand if you would install a led diode that lights everytime you use what you want to show. And that we see it from the camera-angel? In this case, you already have cable for the breakinglight! Throttlecontroll is also hard to understand end explain, and not as easy even with a diode! If it possible to connect "live" to the ECU you could realy show how much throttle you use in every moment with a small window that shows those numbers same time as we see you riding? Some videos of tuned cars have this and you see how much the turbo works, how much fuel, how much air and so on. For most of us would it be enough with throttle procent! Keep up the good work with the videos! :)

nowadays street bikers ride with the brake partially depressed so the pads are just barely not rubbing. lmao, moral of the story none of this truly matters i mean none of it. Don't spend your whole life chasing performance just so you can go faster you'll just end up dying.

Throttle blipping controls the position of your sled, but it must be accompanied with a properly timed brake so you don't gain too much speed while you're getting your sled set

I’ve been doing exactly what you said ,once I learned to ride with one finger almost always on the brake it became a lot easier :) But I will say recently I grabbed a bunch of brake and I was in a weird position and ended up using only my right arm to stop myself from falling forward off the sled and I tore the hell out of my supraspinatus tendon 😱 man it hurt and I’ve now been off the sled for 5 days and will prob need at least another 5 days before I will try to ride again .. the doctor Said it was the worst tear he’s seen and it could take 3-4 months to heal 🤣 … no way man Let’s FN Gooooo !!! 2 weeks max & I’m getting back out there ;) oh and I’m 50 lol Have fun thanks ❄️🇨🇦❄️

There’s actually a ton of differences in braking from sleds to bikes. I ride mountain bikes all summer long and although using brakes to control my speed is similar….using braking while sledding is more about positioning the sled keeping the front end where I need it. Ps I won’t ever give it a rest!!!!
