The start almost made me tear up, the way the boy says "Is my mom here," his voice is shaken and he's surrounded by 3 grown white officers saying "It's just us," Surely if he's underage (Which he looks) The parents have to be notified

America is a BRUTAL, brutal country. The lives that have been completely destroyed are countless. When will the people wake up. I can't even watch this.

This made me cry so much especially in episode 4

I have already seen this several times, I know the story inside out and this trailer still brought me to tears.

I felt so horrible throughout this whole four part series, but man, part four really broke me and had me in tears. Korey got the worst out of all of them. Really had me in tears because they really did take his whole life and childhood 😭😭

Strong brave Brothers. Went through a lot, no parent or or attorney present, signing documents without an adult present, a cooperate system that wanted a shut case without reviewing the whole case. Each of them should've gotten a mill for each in prison. I know no amount of money can bring back the time each one lost. Continue praying for them. WOW! Yusef has 10 kids, I dont blame Antron when it comes to his Dad told him to lie and never supported him when he needed him the most, Korey had me in tears. At the end instead of showing the acting Mothers, should've been the actual parents.

Watch it (if you haven't by now)... it's painful, but it's filled with humanity. And make sure to watch the Oprah special about the series that's also on Netflix after you watch it, as the main actors and the real men (now) who they played are all there.

I hope the judge and the jury and the police see there faces every day as a reminder of robbing innocent kids life... they need to go to jail forever.

This is SO hard to watch honestly (I keep stopping to take a breath) for these children to have endured this but this painful, shameful story has to be told and shared widely.😪 The toughest part is Korey🙏🏾 🥺and where they show the young men trying to adjust when they get out.

I just finished watching this and bro I'm to happy because they are successful/or becoming successful 😘🙃

its amazing to see what the film makers, director and the team for this film did to open the eyes of so many people. it went deep to make sure we didnt just watch it but push equality and fairness to a higher level for all blacks. it opened up so many emotions for me and im sure it did for many others. 👏👏

Now this series just managed to evoke anger and hatered(I wish everyone would watch it cause its a good and educative series) .It is sickening to think that this was not the first nor the last event of its kind .The prosecuter and other accomplices in this case who allowed this to happen are disgusting .The fathers that failed to be there for their families disappointing and embarrassing nothing new though .Its just unfortunate and sad that the system is still against us .Hopefully some day this changes and I hope these people who commit these cruel acts are held accountable in another world.#blacklivesmatter

I'm watching eps1. I want to throw up. How these boys were treated and the parents didnt have any representation. I'm just a normal person. Crying my eyes out on a tv movie. Made from a true story. This is so heartbreaking. I know the outcome. To see these boys treated like this is twisting my stomach.

It was one of the hardest movies fit me to watch. The party that got to me the most was Koreys storyline in prison. heart breaking

I really do not understand what makes them superior base on thier skin colour. What matters is the hearth no matter what colour you skin is. what flows inside the body is the same red colour liquid that flows to keep you living. I have always adore black skin tone. They are gorgeous 😍maybe they are just jealous. 😉Positive mindset. God bless you guys. ❣

I couldn't watch this, it gave me anxiety and made me sick to my stomach 🤮 all the cops care about is closing a case innocent or not, too many people in our world are sick and power hungry. The injustice is horrifying. They scare you and force you to take deals by threatening to give you triple the time behind bars if you go to trail so you'll just plea no contest for a 1/4 of the time. Innocent people end up taking the deal rather than fight a justice system that judges you guilty unless you can prove innocent with several witnesses and alibis and even with that they still sentence the innocent. I've experienced it once and watched it happen more times than I can count. There is no justice in this world .

If the other The kids parents would of been smart, educated and informed like Yusuf mother was, they could of had a chance of beating the case. after Steve lopez I think Yusuf was probably the smartest out of the group not to give a video conffession.

Nobody wants to look at the truth and take responsibility for why this happened. If black kids had not been terrorizing people in Central Park that year, this story wouldn’t exist. Everyone knows it deep down, but they will never admit it. The only way you change bad things from happening to your community is realize you are creating the bad things happening. Now, go on and scream and shout and be angry about what I’ve said. Then you’ll be sad afterwards knowing it’s true.

Running around with metal pipes attacking people in the park, as innocent people do. Mentioning raping a jogger to police and friends before the victim was actually discovered.
